Not saying it's not good; in fact, it's not bad at all. However...

Don't ask me why but somehow when i saw the head-on shot of the 650S, this immediately comes to mind.

Cool, thanks for posting. I like the 12c and the 650s. I plan on getting a 650s vert later on when they start offering steep discounts on them.

dam!! the new front end w/o a plate looks insane and all that new carbon looks so hot! I want a 650s vert ASAP!

actually my car should be making about the same power and I already have the new front end :thefinger:

but I still want the 650s with AWE full exhaust which will bring me just over 700hp!

 

R8 is like saying you have a Benz SL or BMW 650i :eek3dance:

I'm not usually a fan of McLaren's looks, but that looks proper evil. I'm starting to like it! Like you have said before, a 650S, convertible, will be quite epic fun.

 

Funnily enough the McLaren's ace-card for me is that for a big 6ft7in, the 12C has the best seating position by far. Its truly epic.

That's what I've been saying, looks are VERY important ! :icon_mrgreen:

 

They are not there yet but they are making nice steady progress, I am sure two to three years from now after many lessons learned they will produce the right car for the majority and that's when they will enjoy some financial success, I wish the brand the best because I want to see them succeed.

Had a go in the rain/sleet today

 

 

New orange colour is fantastic, but I think the old car looked better

Car feels very fast and along the roads today at 100-110 felt really easy to drive.

Exhaust sound is better than before although did find the turbo noise a bit annoying after a while

 

Overall very good car and much better than my old 12C, especially the steering

If this car performs as McLaren says it will, and so far they have not missed their mark, it will be untouchable by anything less than $900k. I'll be driving the 650S in May and it's "all there" I might pass on the Huracan, keep my STS and go for the 650S.

Had a chance to drive the 650S at Ascari last weekend. Nice upgrade in stiffness without being harsh. I also think it looks better in person than in pictures. But neither power nor handling will IMO convert anyone who weren't already sold by the original 12C. I think you'd have to drive them back to back to notice the power upgrade.
