Hello everyone, I am pretty much a Lambo newbie and a proud SV owner recently. I am just curious from what I have been reading up, why is the LP670 SV the last true Lamborhini?" and whys isint the diablo SV ?

let's say in terms of appreciation , would the Diablo SV took the bite first ?

All your opinions are welcomed. True discussion only.

Thank you.

I just heard of a SV that exported to the UK from here in Singapore and selling in the UK for a pretty high price. Prices have hit rock bottom and if anything it will only appreciate from here.

The last true Lamborghini because it inherits lots of parts back from the Countach, Diablo days but off course much improved. Just my opinion.

The Diablo SV, yes its iconic but over 400pcs built. LP670-4 SV only 186pcs built of which only a handful in the UK, maybe 4-5pcs.

Its the last car to have the Bizzarini V12 that was originally comissioned by Ferruccio to power the first Lambos. I love the Diablo's and think they look awesome to this day, but I dont really buy into the last true Lamborghini camp. True the Murci was unveiled after Audi took ownership of the company, but when the Diablo was built it was owned by a Malaysian "business" man, and then Chrysler... In that respect the last true full blooded Lambo was the Countach.... but since the Countach, Diablo, and Murci all share pretty much the same chassis, engine and trans... I think they all qualify as true Lambos. The 670 will have hit the bottom for depreciation in my view...Diablo's are already on the climb..... In time they will probably all appreciate... but who knows...market is hard to predict.

Very well said and I couldn't agree anymore.

There is the Bizzarini V12 design, which equates to that unique V12 sound, which the Aventador does not have (its also an awesome V12 sound, but just different to the Bizzarini sounding V12s).

Additionally, driving the Murcielago, you notice how it clearly shares DNA with the Diablo, while the Aventador, is completely different, a completely new experience, in terms of driving.

Hence, the Murcielago, and especially the super rare SuperVeloce, is the pinnacle and last of the true Lamborghini.

Thats not to take away from the new Bulls at all. I love both the A and H, too.

Agree with all that's been said here...a few extras from me...

I own multiple Lambos for my own collection that are not for sale..and for me it does not get much better then the 670-4SV 6 speed TRUE MT car. The RAW HP and pull of the car, the sound the driver inter-action you can still have with it, the race car cockpit feeling and the doors STILL go up the correct way.

The A is a great car, but for me, its just a mass produced car, I don't care for the rake of the windshield, the way it sounds (stock OEM)...but the thing that irritates the hell out of me on it most..is that the doors DON'T go up like a TRUE Lambo design the way they are suppose to... just my 2 cents.

Agreed about the doors...why did they do that

I am glad I am not the only one that hates the doors.

To the OP, lets see some pics of your SV so you can get your owner's title.

southern,

you got a true masterpiece. Love it, cherish it, embrace it.

I am just the opposite. The vent doors are a lot better and much easier to get out of.

On another topic, I cant turn the "quote" feature off????? Whether I hit the -quote button or not, it still quotes. What am I doing wrong?

:iamwithstupid:

When ever I text DoctaM3 I have my phone set to change Aventador to \__/ cause that is what the doors look like. They did it for roll over reasons and the need for the doors to be able to open and be blown off. Looks ricer to me. I__I is much better than \__/

I dug up these pics today..My SV #12, the day I took delivery of it WAY BACK in July of 2009! I think it was the FIRST SV to land in the USA.

Love it Roy! I know you have wrapped it before so would you ever consider wrapping it in a flag livery like your Diablo SV-R?

I have had it wrapped in the 6.0SE Brown, currently wrapped int he 50th anniversary Yellow...which I like quite a bit...I will go to something else in the spring, just not sure what yet...was thinking maybe a Verde Scandal Mat finish... may also install the big wing for a while, have an extra OEM one in stock, so easy to switch it up...

Agree with Roys doors comment. My favourite models; Countach Diablo Murcielago in no particular order, all have the door geometry I like. Not forgetting the fantastic, common to all, Bizzarrini V12.

Aventador is a great car and I plan to own one at some point but I doubt I will ever change my mind on my favourites. I don't hate the Aventador doors. I just prefer the others.

There's one sv in Singapore in this 50th anniversary yellow. He hardly drives it, done less than 1000kms. He also owns the veyron, mclaren f1, ThethetheFerrari, f50 etc etc.

On a side not , 3-4 SV's have recently been exported out of Singapore at high prices, going to hands of collectors.

wonderful discussion , I had the SV for about 8 months now, and though it may not be as fast and as high tech as a aventador, I still love it. especially when making gear changes, the sound and the exhaust note.

back to the car value, I think the Diablo SV will becomes a collectors car before the murcis SV right, so the Diablo price will climb first.

The prices for Diablo SV have been picking up, however the LP670-4 SV is the last and best of its kind with much lesser numbers produced compared to the Diablo SV so the LP670-4 SV is already a collectors cars. Also 3-4 cars were exported out of Singapore due to the demand overseas, comes to show that there is a demand for this collectible. If it's any road going Diablo that has already appreciated by a lot that would be the SE30 JOTA and GT.

From thousands of km's driving in my SV with my mate in his Aventador; there is no speed difference at all in the real world.

Actually from what I gather, your correct. Tough fight between the two in terms of straight line acceleration.

There's a Rosso Mars SV just came onto the UK market. Asking price is £399,990. Someone will pay it I bet. Although they'll have to choose between that and the Rosso Mars LP720 roadster that has recently just became available for £389,000. Only 10k in it...It'd be a tough choice, both beautiful cars. The roadster isn't too far away from me, may have to go check it out as I've yet to see one in person!

Is this the car which just got exported out of Singapore? I heard it is selling by a Lambo specialist.

That's the link to the website. I'm not sure, it doesn't mention anything about it being an export from the description. It's number 77, I'll need to check out if that was oringinally a UK supplied vehicle or not.
