Absolutely floored by this. So young and like everyone who knew him has said, he was a nice guy to be around. We hung out in Columbus and Pittsburgh, cruised in his first green Gallardo. ^"Gilligan" was there, we both liked Rob.

I wish I would have reached out to him recently. I had no idea. Him being in Florida, I had wanted to plan a trip to visit him. Our schedules didn't seem to work out and then time goes by and I lost track of who's doing what and probably haven't messaged him in a year or more.

I'll always remember the times cruising with him. Whenever I did talk to him I reminded him of how much that it meant to me that he shared the joy of his Lambo with me.

RIP Rob :(

I never really had an opinion of what he was doing on social media etc. He seemed like a cool guy and that he was just excited as any of us to be a car lover. He showed it in his own way. Very very sad to hear that he passed at such a young age.

RIP

This is certainly sad. I couldn't of cared one way or the other on what he posted online, and all the drama. It's a sad situation for everyone that knew him. Even the 'haters' would have never wished this on anyone, especially someone as young as he was. RIP Robert.

It sounds like he knew his time was limited, and lived life to the fullest! Exactly what I would want to do.

I have to say, if I was ill in such a manner, I'd probably do the same and live my life as happy as I could be and not want anyone to feel sorry for me. It feels sudden, and I had no idea, but he was always so positive. Every time I've interacted with him, he was nothing but positive and super awesome. I know he motivated others, and I hope that others will be motivated by his positive outlook on life. This makes me want to finish my car yesterday, you just never know when things will happen.

this is just crazy :(

he messaged me about 6 weeks ago saying he was selling his McLaren with Roy and possibly wanted to buy a aventador etc..

I wonder if this was a complication with his treatment etc or if it was expected. not that it matters, but I thought that was a little strange.

either way my heart goes out to his family and friends..

a sad day RIP

I heard he had cancer a while back when he dropped in on Allan. They did some canyon drives and Allan told me he was not well. He did not want people to know, so we kept it private. His early work was inspiring. His video of his mom in the TT was fantastic and copied thousands of times by other people. I met him in ohio a few times, he had a great drive and cool ideas. Then he hooked up with some people who thought the world wanted to see people brag about how successful they were and that embellishment will drive success. It all caught up with him. But he will be remembered for being super cool and friendly with a passion for cars and life. Too bad it was cut short. Rest in peace brother.

I agree. Robert is from my neck of the woods. Always were in touch. Made some connection at the beginning of all of this for some specialists; knew this was going to be his hardest & most daunting battle yet. He was strong, brave & resolved. After exchanging messages just 3 days ago, I was not expecting this.

Children should never predecease their parents. Cancer buried my sister one year ago yesterday. My mom is still a mess.

I understand Robert had stomach cancer. RIP and condolences to his parents.

I agree. It's really hard right now. Sorry to hear about your sister too. Stay STRONG!

A lot of people who did not know Robert personally didn't know how caring and good-hearted he actually was. Regardless of all the things some may have "heard" about him he always had good intentions and wanted to make others around him better. I wish this day had never come. Health is something that can never be taken for granted. RIP

He really was. Got beat up on the internet but his heart was always in the right place. Those of us who knew him, KNEW him.

Since last night, I have been in a bit of a fog over it. I deal with this all the time, but this one is tough.

RIP.

Was absolutely floored when I got the news. Spoke to his father today and it's just surreal. He was truly a great kid.

Here we thought he had conquered it and enjoyed the Italian Stampede over the Summer. Gone way too soon.

I thought Rob Ferreti's FB post to his wall was so apropos about how so many people who hated on him now do a 180 now that he's dead.

Some who have even posted in this thread. Maybe it will teach people to stop being such assholes; but probably not.

At least he packed a LOT into his 24 years.

I saw it this morning as well. He would text me once in a while just to see how I was and offer words of encouragement for my business. Such a genuinely nice dude, so sad to hear this. :(

Never knew Robert, but may he RIP, left too young, hope his folks find the strength to get through such a tragedy.

I dream that cancer will be something medicine soon conquers once & for all, its a nightmare for the patient, their loved ones, testing their courage, resolve and willingness to fight this cruel monster.

My thoughts & prayers to all those in the fight right now, and those who're in the orbit of someone in the fight.

Didn't know him but like most saw many of the pics of him out there living life and having fun. He sure packed a lot into his young life, RIP.

I was trying and trying to place him in my mind as his name sounded so familiar, then went on Youtube. I remember him now, I remember when he got his first Lambo and was posting about it. I can't believe some of the Haterade being spewed on some of the video comments sections though at him, damn. People were jealous!

Very sad. I remember his posts about taking delivery of his first car and how excited he was. Time flies.

He certainly took self-promoting to a whole new level and caught a lot of flack for it online. Honestly, Sometimes he deserved this criticism, sometimes he didn't... but thats all part of growing up and maturing in your early 20s and most people aren't brave/crazy enough to put it out there for the whole world to see. In the process, he inspired many young entrepreneurs across the world to pursue their dreams. Its unfortunate that Robert won't be around to see the big things some of those kids do because of his inspiration in the future. RIP

I never judge people until I have first hand interaction with them so I am also deeply shocked on this sad moment. RIP way too young.
