Salamone.... nice job. Surprised he didn't use launch control.

I mentioned this on another thread that the SV doesnt look to be any faster than a reg Aventador. Not knocking the car, but kind of dissapointing that a regular F12 could pull Team Salamone. Imagine a TDF? Looks like an SV cant out run a Huracan.

I think you just need to get a proper

Driver behind the wheel. Should be good for low 10's

none of the cars were running great that day, BUT, that SV coupe was launched and there isn't much to do but sit there and hold down the accelerator.... ET aside the trap is low, a stock 570S trapped 130MPH as well that day...

(Flame suit on first.) I am with Allan on this one. On the regular public roads, the SV doesn't appear to be any faster than a regular A. The SV would no doubt "feel" faster due to the way it was engineered (louder exhaust, less insulation, the cabin with a lot less soft surfaces etc..). That said, given a strip that's long enough and/or on a closed track; and providing one is skillful enough to drive the SV close to its limits; the SV would win over the regular A due to its added aero aids and different steering and suspension. But on regular roads including those at the canyon, both cars would be neck to neck.

Really really looking forward to the Huracan Superleggera or whatever it would be called.

50HP and less weight, maybe the aero cancels it out....

Why would anyone expect the sv to be faster?

Am I watching the same video's as everyone else? From the videos, the SV ran the quickest ET and highest trap speed between it, the F12, 650S, Huracan, MP4, an 570S.

Claimed 50hp... but don't they all use the same motors and just save the strongest ones for the SV? It isn't actually tuned any differently or doesn't have any special parts.

I'm betting if you strapped a dozen of each to a dyno, you would struggle to find a statistically significant difference between them.

:iamwithstupid: FYI my car has tune/race exhaust and I have walked by a couple of huracans.

a lot depends on the driver as we all know.

But a tune and exhaust would make a big difference in power over stock.

The SV shows the same torque as the other Aventadors I believe. The extra 50 hp probably is available in a very narrow high rpm range. I always felt that the SV was a bit hyped up by Lamborghini and really should have had more Hp/Torque. Then they would have had a real Winner. Also their cars are heavier than advertized as Lambo uses dry weights. My Roadster weighs 4200lbs with 3/4 fuel. Lambo lists the dry weight as 3575 again for my 2013 Roadster. I really enjoy my Roadster. Beautiful looking and fast enough but, if speed is your thing, my Huracan is faster and performs better on the track. Need to have them both! lol

true, well I'm sure we will start to see more SV racing.

seat of my pants the SV feels fast as hell even when stock, but I guess we will see very soon.

I bet emanon is on to something from a power perspective. No way Lambo went and built custom engines for these things. I'd be surprised if they made much extra power. And not only is the aero suspect but all those spoilers and stuff probably aren't light. Anyone weigh an SV and similar Avetador?

That being said, it is a great looking and sounding car and the performance is strong.

Thank you for making and spreading outstanding videos! These Aventadors are very powerful and fast.

The SV is beautiful and its performance is anything but shabby.

But I have doubts about its weight reduction especially the North American-spec'd cars. Unless someone really went hardcore and deleted the stereo and NAV, that's easily a few tens of pounds added back already --- head unit, DVD drive, amp (even heavier with the optional Sensonum sound), speakers, screens, wiring etc... And then we have the optional comfort seats. Not downplaying the car's capabilities but just mentioning the physical reality of the car's mass vs. the figures published by the factory on what is essentially a bare-bone car without fluids.

I think we need to dyno Bill or Gino's car.... I've got a comp dyno session for either, LMK.....

those options I'm sure weigh the car down but eliminating the stock exhaust has to save atleast 50-60lbs which would help out.

on my coupe with race exhaust and tune it really feels like a beast compared to my 650. with the right driver it has to be a low 10 second car IMO
