US 2001 Diablo 6.0 VIN List/Registry

Did the orange 6.0 changed owner in Japan? The license plates before and after the "transformation" are from 2 different regions: one is in core Tokyo while the other is way out in the suburbs. Very sad about the new looks!

Man I swear I hate what the Japs do to lambos.. They ruin anything from Countachs to Murcielagos..

Not defending them at all but they sure have fun doing it. Some of them participated at the Grande Giro with a Diablo wrapped in neon pink. One person had his hair trimmed featuring the Lambo 50th logo.

I went around with this in 2007 and assembled the complete VIN list for all U.S. 6.0's. There were 140 U.S. 6.0's give or take 1 or 2. Below is the breakdown of the number of cars per color from the factory.

 

37 - Yellow & Pearl Yellow

30 - Titanium & Dark Grey

22 - Pearl Orange

17 - Black

15 - Red & Rosso Vik

10 - Blue

5 - Purple

1 - Purple Grey

1 - Dark Green

1 - White

Are those first 2 "blue" cars Blue Ely? I know there is a Black 6.0 with a Diablo GT kit on it that traded hands a few times a few years ago, I believe it is now back in Cali. That car I know JeffLambo mentioned was one of the Blue Ely cars originally but got repainted metallic black when it had the GT kit added??

Im also pretty sure the 3rd Blue Ely car pictured in that post with the silver wheels belongs to member EddyShea here on LP.

There is a blue ely car in canada aswell. It is owned by OB Prestige. I wonder if it an ex US car or Canadian car. On their website it shows it as being in their private collection.

OHHH Canada.... these are pics that I took of the very first 6.0 I saw and fell in love with in person back in December of 2002 at the Front St. West Location of Lamborghini Toronto.

 

Also pictured in this series of pics is one of the (my opinion, hideous, purple grey cars) in the back ground. I did not take pics of that car as it was a major turnoff colorwise- and at the time I had NO clue just how limited the 6.0 really was. Sorry, fumble.

I lied, I do have some pics of the grey purple. Of all of the cars that ended up Verde... this could have been one of them and I don;t think anyone would miss it.

 

Forgot I stopped in again about 6 months later. Perhaps if this is a known car, you could add the images.

 

No vin on this one.. but I assume pretty rare with the matching interior.

 

 

that grey purple is very rare. Only 2 or 4 in the world I think. Only one in in Australia was delivered in that car and it was subsequently repainted to black by the dealer.

Grigio Iris 6.0 :

I took a very close look at the Grigio Isis 6.0 about 11 years ago in Toronto. While it is rare, it is a colour of acquired taste. Grayish pink or grayish lilac is how I would describe it. It works under a very bright sun as at certain angle it adds a golden sheen to it sort of like there is a green sheen on Giallo Midas. But whereas yellow is generally an acceptable based colour, "dirty pink/lilac" really isn't and it is impossible to touch up on any paint chip. Such was the case on the Toronto car; it had several chips on the car and the touch up actually made the blemishes more prominent. The 2-tone gray/pink interior didn't help much either. I guess there stands the reasons of its rarity. Someone posted a resprayed LM002 in this colour on here a long time ago; likely lost during the big site crash though.

 

A Grigio Iris Aventador (non-SV) was delivered to Vancouver a couple of months ago but it had since disappeared. It looks like the hue is a slight bit different; more gray than pink/lilac.

I have pictures of that grey purple 6.0 and an orange 6.0 from Toronto's auto show back in the day.

So what about records of the destroyed ones? Do we know which cars are the infamous ones that come up in images burnt to a crisp? Where did Hulk Hogan's car end up?

 

 

Mine in Australia ... originally AU delivered, right hand drive in Grigio Antares exterior black interior ... now wrapped in Aurora Orange.
