Chipster Report post Posted December 14, 2016 Anyone know this car? High mileage but still. Looks like serviced by supercar specialists in AZ. 2002 Murcielago
Assman Report post Posted December 14, 2016 I'd buy it at 100k and drive the fcuk out of it.

Stimpy Report post Posted December 14, 2016 For the right price I agree, it would be cool. And if you de-pimp it along the way, you'll probably do pretty good on resale. That wrap is not so much to my taste, and I am sure it limits the audience. You have to wonder what's underneath it though if you buy it that way. I don't think it looks terrible but wouldn't be my first color choice. I'd imagine some of the Phoenix people have seen the car. Curious about the body panel fitment and mechanicals. rushdriven Report post Posted December 14, 2016 Found a previous ad for it: http://topcheapcar.com/car/Used-2002-Lambo...9BC10U02LA12166 Looks like the wrap was gray then, had a wing, 5,000 less miles and asking $115,000. Maybe they increased the price to cover the new wrap. lol

Charlie Report post Posted December 14, 2016 I have seen the car around Scottsdale. I am not a fan of the wrap nor the color choice. The car exhaust sounds really good. I am sure Brian at SuperCar Specialist can provide more details. I have no idea who the owner is.

Chipster Report post Posted December 15, 2016 I just heard from Brian. He said he took care of the car for about 5 years for the prior owner up until about a year and a half ago. He said it's not a bad car and what you would expect based on the mileage but did suggest checking it out in person. Just FYI for anyone looking. In reality though it is not worth anywhere near 119k. I shot them over an offer as I would have some fun rebuilding this car and just driving the hell out of it forever. I don't think they liked the offer though, lol. People think they have a home run because it is a manual.
Chipster Report post Posted December 15, 2016 He did say clutch and valve adjustment were done about year and a half ago. If my car was sold, I might consider it but unlikely.

Realistically what do you feel the car is worth. I don't think it is worth north of 100k, if it is even worth 100k.
Stimpy Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Realistically what do you feel the car is worth. I don't think it is worth north of 100k, if it is even worth 100k. It's at a level of mileage that I would want a very complete PPI that includes leakdown and compression tests before I would put a value on it. I'd also want to know what is underneath the wrap for paint condition. If you had to do an engine rebuild and/or paint job, that would change everything. Putting it back to stock would not be very expensive because you could buy a used front bumper for around $6K and sell the out of place SV bumper to someone going all the way with the SV look. And the rest is minor stuff. The seats are tired, but they could be refurbished for a couple grand. I am sure the headlights are hazy underneath that wrap, so that would be an extra expense. But if the paint and mechanics are good and no accidents, I would pay north of $100K because it is a manual and those do get more money in this market like it or not. Heck a repaired salvage egear with plenty of miles seem to go for north of $80K, so given a clean bill of health, this one can't be that close to a salvage unit. To get the car mint again you will most likely spend 25-30k. The car has a bad carfax. It was involved in an accident, which I would bet resulted in the SV bumper being installed. Then had a wing removed, which I would say wasn't done correctly. Obviously thats my assumption. If the holes were repaired and repainted, I can assure you that when the wrap is removed the clear coat will also peel in that area. To me this is an 80k car on the high end of it. ATL_ Report post Posted December 15, 2016 It's a $60k car imo . . . and I think that is generous.
Infamous Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Let's think about what I just said I said if it has a clean bill of health it's worth more than 100K. So if it doesn't, then it isn't. I agree with what you said, given a clean bill of health it would be worth 100-110k tops. So now I gave some more details. Now after knowing some of those details I am wondering what you feel it may be worth? Obviously it will only be worth what someone is willing to pay. I work on these cars everyday and know a good deal about what goes into them. For that I may be biased on what I think some of them are worth. So if I know what others are thinking it will tell me if I am that far off base. Thank you.
Infamous Report post Posted December 15, 2016 It's a $60k car imo . . . and I think that is generous. Lol I offered them 65k for it hoping they would counter with a realistic number. They countered at $500 off listing. LoL
ATL_ Report post Posted December 15, 2016 Lol I offered them 65k for it hoping they would counter with a realistic number. They countered at $500 off listing. LoL The way I think about it is if this were a low mile, minty 02 Murci, it MIGHT be worth $140k. This thing has 60k miles, a bad carfax, an aftermarket bumper and wheels, ugly "pimped out" shit all over it and an enormous list of potential issues under that wrap. I just can't fathom someone paying more than half of what a great car could be bought for. That said, if you can do the work yourself and have access to parts at cost, your equation is probably pretty different than mine. You all echo my sentiments for the most part but I'm in the latter camp with the likelihood that I would do the work, I did ask about holes from the wing on ebay but haven't heard back yet since I sent it this morning. I'd be mostly worried about mechanicals. IF it were me, I'd pay right around 100 assuming it's in solid shape with no surprises. A little less due to the accident history. The only 2 other cars I'm aware of for manuals that are reasonably close are the green and orange cars, both asking

The only 2 other cars I'm aware of for manuals that are reasonably close are the green and orange cars, both asking 140 To figure out the value of the car, it is about the condition which is unknown, and then you have to look at what the bottom and top is for Murci's. Wrecked egear Murci's that have a lot of miles seem to bottom out around $80K, and that's for ones that have been serious damaged and then repaired to some unknown level of quality. This one may have had only a fender bender, but I don't know. In any case, I don't see how it could be worth less than 80K even with the high miles. The most prestine low miles 2002 could get $150-160, and we know it isn't that! But answer the unknowns, which is a difficult and expensive effort, and then we can talk more about the value.
