getnoir Report post Posted July 26, 2018 Thank you, I really like the cleaner look, this time around I will delete it if it’s an option which still maintains the reverse camera. A rear view camera is not available when deleting the infotainment system, unfortunately. So my dealer installed a 3rd party rear view camera. When I press the black square button right below the Lambo logo in the center console, a rear view pops up in the rear view mirror. topjay Report post Posted July 26, 2018 it is slightly bizarre that Lambos tend to glow their rear brakes more than their fronts! Same thing with my Performante! Its because the esp is constantly touching the rears individually to bring you back in line and stopping you loosing it in corners even when not braking if cornering hard
J_sta07 Report post Posted July 26, 2018 Amazing Ring time. This thing is badass. I’d spec one over a Senna all day. Do we know how many units will be produced and what they will cost? I’d assume $600k-ish?

LSHG Report post Posted July 26, 2018 Check some infos here: https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/news/aven...p;utm_source=Fb The new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ surprised us ahead of its unveiling that will take place in August during Monterey Car Week: the newest super sports car from the House of the Raging Bull has set the lap record for production cars at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, in a lap time of 6:44.97 minutes. The Challenge Camouflaged and with official Lamborghini driver Marco Mapelli behind the wheel, the Aventador SVJ successfully tackled the challenge on the 20.6 km track during an exclusive session that saw the passionate commitment of Lamborghini’s Research and Development team, with extensive tire support from Pirelli technicians and driver. What the “J” Stands for “The Aventador SVJ takes the Jota suffix, following the Lamborghini tradition for denoting a car’s track-focused talent. This new car is the convergence of Lamborghini technologies to produce a super sports car that transcends current performance benchmarks,” explained Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO. Best Weight-to-Power Ratio The Aventador SVJ is made of lightweight materials that contribute to the excellent weight-to-power ratio of only 1.98 kg/hp, thus featuring an even higher power output. Furthermore, Lamborghini’s patented ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics system with aero vectoring guarantees the best handling and downforce, as well as SVJ-specific new aerodynamic features. Optimized Ala Performance, Four-Wheel Drive System, Rear-Wheel Steering and ESC Significant CFD simulation optimized the performance of the ALA system, with the exceptional downforce requiring an entire rework of the Aventador’s active and passive dynamic systems to exploit the car’s physical boundaries. The set-up of the Aventador SVJ has been entirely re-engineered to enhance its four-wheel drive system, rear-wheel steering and ESC. Significantly stiffer than the Aventador LP 750-4 SV, with enhanced damping, the steering has also been retuned in the SVJ. What to Expect at Monterey Car Week “Its tenure as the Nürburgring lap time record holder, even before its unveiling during Monterey Car Week in California in August, endorses Lamborghini’s competence in applying superlative design engineering and ground-breaking technologies. The SVJ is a super sports car at the zenith of performance, while also ensuring unrivalled driving pleasure,” said Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO. “This is another demonstration of the exceptional skill and teamwork of the dedicated personnel within Automobili Lamborghini: the R&D team, as well as our test drivers, and of course partners such as Pirelli,” added Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer. Another Record in Lamborghini's "Hall of Fame" In 2015 the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV delivered a sub-seven minute lap time, and in 2016 the Huracán Performante set the Nürburgring Nordschleife production car record, with a lap time of 6:52:01, which it held until September 2017. Albert-LP Report post Posted July 26, 2018 They aren't exactly stand alone When I was at the factory seeing my Roadster being built there are Audi and Porsche boxes and components everywhere The V12 engine is built here in Italy, the V10 and V8 engines come from Germany (or Hungary, I don't remember, sorry) Yes there are many German parts too: maybe that's the reason why the cars' quality is not bad at all… ciao

FEVIPER Report post Posted July 26, 2018 1.98 kg/hp. 760 hp or there abouts x 1.98 = ~1505 kg. Any guess of how many lbs of fluid would be added? Anybody have a dry to wet comparison of a standard Aventador?
Speed Demon Report post Posted July 26, 2018 Per the press release, Lambo is claiming a weight of 3350 pounds. How’d they pull 700 pounds out of the Aventador? Is that dry weight or curb weight?
alpha6164 Report post Posted July 26, 2018 Any guess of how many lbs of fluid would be added? Anybody have a dry to wet comparison of a standard Aventador? The standard SV is quoted at 3362lb dry weight so that is no weight savings comparing the two dry weights.
