Fortis, it is highly recommended by the factory but seldom followed by owners! The length of the factory recommended break-in is absurdly long. I follow a gradual increase in rpm and degree of aggressiveness all the way to about 600 miles (1000 km) and then let it rip! See attached page from owner’s manual. It is so much more capable than the 991.1 GT3 I had, it will take some getting used to before I can drive it 8-9/10ths on the track... A little wind up to 187 mph in Sport mode! Speed Demon Report post Posted March 5, 2018 Report after first track weekend at COTA... The weather last weekend in Austin at the Circuit of the Americas F1 track was far less than ideal. In fact I was able to run only 3 sessions of the 8 at the MVP event (one of which was with a coach driving my car as he really wanted to see what the car can do!). My previous track car was a Porsche 991.1 GT3. I loved that car. But the Performante is in a different league. It is faster almost everywhere... It corners extremely well and flat. You can feel the AWD and the active aero working. The stock Corsa tires are quite good (just shy of Trofeo R level grip). Next visit to COTA is at the end of April and I am hoping for dry weather. Attached is a short video of my friend in his McLaren 675 LT on Pirelli DH race slicks behind me in my stock Performante. Speed Demon Report post Posted September 26, 2018 I wanted to see how the new LP site allows for easier uploading of bigger photos by sharing some of my Performante both on track and in the parking lot! My favs are the glowing rotor actions shots taken during a night track event at COTA even though they are grainy! Uploading photos is night and day different from before!
