I've been looking for a car i could enjoy taking out the Mrs in and Nipper should i need to and had strongly considered a Ferrari FF. I couldn't get past the pig ugly looks of the FF nor could I resist this when i saw it - stunning, aggressive - perfect cruiser to drive to dinner in, along the PCH and to Monterey next year!

What is it? A 1998 Bentley Continental T Mulliner, 1 of 182 to the US and this car has had over $25k spent on it the last few years - completely rewired, wood refinished (all documented etc). To me this has some of the best lines on a coupe...ever. Arrives after a service in 10 days.

The Chrome wheels are gash but the car has so much chrome on it that it matches and is OEM so will leave it for now.

650 pounds of TQ from 2200 RPM!

Very classy. The whole car looks immaculate and as new.

You might want to consider spending a few bob on seat covers if it's going to be used as a kiddie carrier. It would be a shame if that lovely interior got marked by sticky fingers.

I could of swore I saw this on Bring a Trailer recently. Is that where you found it?

I thought that particular car was way more limited. Like one of 12 or something. I could be wrong though. The dealer I worked at in high school had one they sat on for years I drove around the lot a few times. . Such a beautiful car. Absolutely love it. Congrats.

I wasn't going to get all nerdy but you're right - it is a very rare bird:

It's one of fourteen RSE's built in 1998 but of Conti T Mulliners it's one of 23 and of the widebody Coupes, 1 of 189 to the US and 1 of 300 odd world wide.

Thanks everyone for the comments - arrives soon enough and will buy a flat cap and sheepskin coat to drive about in!

Few quick comments since someone asked:

Car arrived last week, it’s a lovely place to be; extremely refined and unique compared to the dime a dozen Wraiths. Love the TQ, smell of the leather and the ability to waft along without a care in the world.

The brakes are fantastic, it corners almost flat which is crazy for a car of its size and age and sounds nice with the turbo spool and understated exhaust.

One thing I would like to do is get some spacers to bring the wheels out to the arches.  Anyone know of a company that can do this and more importantly what effect this will have on the handling as they need to come out few couple of inches! May be better off leaving it as is.

Overall very happy and enjoying it!
