Thick green liquid leaking

Hi guys thought I would warm the car up move forward in the driveway to move it around. (Not been moved since my last clutch  burn incident). Found some thick green liquid on the garage floor seemed to be from the centre of the car. (Which would indicate from the front of engine but hard to tell because of undertrays) any ideas please!!!!

Unless you've got some Brad Penn oil, which is green, that sure looks like coolant to me.  Could be hoses loosening with cold temps.  Can you get under the car to see a source?

Not a DIY home mechanic here so take what I am about to say as a reference index only please.

Since it's a 6.0, that rusty piece looks a lot like the clutch rod.  I don't think transmission fluid is green though; at least I haven't come across any that's green; so the leak should stem from elsewhere.  I would suggest you to swap the clutch rod out though as that is the infamous piece that will break and will strand you on the road.   It's notoriously known to cause trouble to all the later model Diablo's.  There is a much stronger after-market version available which is quite a bit more reliable.  Regrets for not able to trace your leakage.  For the Diablo series, different markets have different under panels.  The Swiss market ones are definitely a bit different.  You might want to consult your Lambo dealer at where you are in order to be sure.

Many thanks guys any idea where to buy the after market stronger clutch rod from?

im not going to grove for the next 3-4 months so I’m guessing having it standing is not going to cause issues? Is it something that can be changed at an indi or require specialist tools?

appreciating all the help guys

The better rod is called the Custer clutch rod (made by John Custer).  Not sure if he sells directly anymore.  A safer bet is to contact Glen at AMH Exotic Car Parts and he can source one for you. (http://www.exoticwholesaleparts.com/contact.html)  Glen was a sponsor to the old LP site and is a straight shooter. Many members here had bought from him before and can vouch for him; myself included.

No special tools required.  I believe there is a step by step instructions posted on LamboWeb; go on there and check under the Repair section and you should be able to find it.  Best of luck.

My clutch slave was leaking and it made the clutch rod look very similar to your picture.  Not sure if my leak was green like yours though.  My car just wouldn't engage into gear (clutch pedal was super light).

I'd suggest swapping out the clutch slave ($150) and get a new rod ($800).

Hi I started the Diablo 6.0VT to warm it up as been garaged since December. It had green thick fluid under car in December but never noticed it again. Started up today and noticed said “brake” on dash with handbrake light staying on. Thought I would move it out of garage just to rotate the tyres clutch went down and up but super light. I have NOT tried to engage into gear any ideas? @kaliturbo seems like yours with clutch slave issue.

Willing to bet its the clutch slave.  Mine did the exact same thing.  It leaked brake fluid through the clutch slave.  Refilled it, primed the clutch with the help of a friend.  Car ran fine.  Next day took it out and same issue (clutch pedal very light and goes straight to the floor, cannot engage into gear).  Swapped out clutch slave (and rod while you down there) and no issues since.
