The 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster

Ooo la la! Now, as I get older I find my tastes falling more in line with something comfortable, not too out there and enjoyable to drive.

This new Benz seems to fit the bill quite nicely. Myself, I'm torn if I would like the coupe or the roadster better, but I suppose with only 750 units and a decent price I won't be getting one either way! :lol2:

But seriously, anyone want to chime in on this one? Because it seems to me the 577 horsepower would be ideal for a daily. Granted, it may be a bit rough of a ride, but I haven't been in either to say.  Any coupe owners here?

I think it has a lot to do with the way it reminds me of the 300SL. One of my all-time favorites.

Anyone here considering one of these now that it's going to happen?

Although just a standard GT roadster I use this as a daily and love it, came from an SL550 so not as luxurious but still not bad and my girl friend has not complained.20190418_113729[16940].jpg

I 've had a coupe for over a year and 6k miles. I've owned a bunch of cars of this type and price range.  --For me, it can't be beat. I don't use it as a daily but you easily could. The comfort/fun/engine sound ratio is amazing.

As bad as it sounds, it seems like the ideal car to "compromise" on with the performance, looks, and comfort. It's not a Lamborghini, not extreme but gives you all the things you could really need in something that looks fantastic and performs more than 99% of the population would eve utilize.

What are you using for a daily if you don't mind me asking?

s550.  I drive about 20k mi/yr.  Lots of highway to the office daily. 75% of the route no traffic.  The s550 is amazing in that realm. Very comfortable and moves good at the top end.   I agree with you on the GT it is the ideal type car. You have to go to extremes to beat it as an overall.

Note on the s550.  It's an expensive daily.  Bad on gas, eats through tires, and maintenance is costly.  If you're ok with that.  It's hard to beat. I bought it a couple years ago CPO light miles with MB extended warranty and man have I gotten my money's worth.
