PDOG Report post Posted August 26, 2020 I have a 14' Aventador. The car has stock wheels as well as a set of ADV1s The ADV1s are 21/22 where stock rims are 20/21 The tires are 255/30/21 and 335/25/22 I am concerned that the bigger wheel combo is going to prematurely wear our the clutch.. Is this a valid concern?

Is this a valid concern? I think the bigger concern is making sure the offset of the wheels is factory. And I could be wrong here, but i think it's a bigger problem on the AWD system if the offsets are off. Could affect the clutch as well, but i don't recall if that's the case. DoctaM3 Report post Posted August 26, 2020 I agree with Destructo. When I last talked to people who know way more about this than me, I recall its the offset and the overall rolling diameter (radius) that is key. larger wheels using results in lower profile tires so the overall diameter of the combo remains the same so no difference to the system. What tires are on the car?
PDOG Report post Posted August 26, 2020 It currently has the factory wheels with factory sized tires 255/30/20 front 355/30/21 rear There is a difference in rolling diameter per the calculators that I have seen. The front tire is 3.15" smaller tire circum The rear tire is 2.45" smaller tire circum The wheels will fit.. and have the proper offset, however i am concerned about the rolling diameter and messing with the computer. What say you? Can these be used on the car or do they become wall art?
whiteout Report post Posted August 26, 2020 Just have to make sure the overall diameter difference between the front tires and rear tires is the same as the OEM tires. Otherwise it can cause damage to the diff. Offset, width and size do not matter.
PDOG Report post Posted August 26, 2020 I was told there is a 4/10 of an inch difference between what is stock and the tire combo.. Is this in tolerance to not hurt the car? Almost 1/2 of an inch seems pretty significant.
Impslap Report post Posted October 11, 2020 Why would the offset create an issue if the rolling diameter is the same as stock?
