While i agree with some of what you said, and maybe its just because i was an active poster without a lambo, but the non lambo owners I never saw as the problem around here.   TBH it was usually the guys with the biggest garages and some of the biggest ego's.   Most of the big fights were dick measuring contests between who had what and when.   Maybe im wrong, who knows, but right about now this forum could use those 30 posts a day popularity contests just to get some of the threads moving and worth reading.   None of my other forums had this decline.  Even Ferrari Chat is still VERY active from the few times I check it a month.   Its just here.   And the true decline started when people like Kris Singh ran off (and took a few members with him).    Not that Kris leaving was any fault but his own, but that was when the decline really started as it seemed to me he couldnt take the heat that was a pretty common thing around here and something that made this forum great once.

My apology's Kevin. I would have never known you did not own one because your input was great. I was mainly referring to troll types that really just wanted to be tough guys behind a user name with no real input. They had no interest in helping the site and improving it. You are just the opposite.  Always enjoyed your posts.

How's everyone doing? :) I miss what LP used to be, I'd be on here every single day.

Everyone grew up except Allan! but he looks like he’s having fun from instagram

Cars stopped breaking so less need for specialised chat and became more available, leaving the happy band of irregulars we were without a hobby as we  have  nothing in common with the new  breed of owner really.  Think its more of a showing off thing now than a liking cars that were hard work & you needed to love to own but with small side of showing off as we were special at the time. They are just not as special now and it attracts a different crowd.

old crew was and still is immense, just all spit doing their own thing with no uniting hobby anymore

No one wants to publicly share now as it may bite you, we should go private and elite but thats mostly done on WhatsApp groups

I'm still lurking here, but the old LPower is a thing of the past. The "other" Lambo forum is a lot more active, but it's nothing like old LPower.

It has been dead for a bit, but in general the entire exotic community has been quiet. I was at LV_Eric's house the other day with SupercarAce and we were discussing not seeing nay exotics around Beverly Hills. Aside from my street, I can go almost a week without seeing one on the road.

I totally agree. I check in occasionally--hoping there will be stuff to read. I would check often but would have nothing "since last visit" so the longer I am away, the more I will have something to read.

So the big question: how or can we get back to the old days? is there a plan?

The old days are gone sadly. However, I’m working on getting a software to the board and a new skin to help make things more streamlined. Trying to format to work with how people connect is the biggest hurdle.

I still believe that Rakjoe's posts is what we need to be alive again.

That.

And Romandad Ghoul Pool.

Now, I do think that some of you are right about the mods. Somehow, a lot of us went MIA and even if LP is not about the mods at all, how can a forum this large back then can live without a team behind ? It just can't, and it would be a lot of work and time to make it even half better from what it used to be.

Many core members are gone because they either lost their account, forget about the site because of the downtime or were pissed by some members or rules, or lack of.

Let spam every members email saying that Rakjoe posted some new pictures !

I haven't been on here since 2013 I think - job, wife kid, etc. - then kind of out of nowhere I was like, "hey, I used to spend a lot of time on LamboPower, I wonder if my account is still there?"  And sure as shit, I was able to log right in - I even remembered my password, which is probably the most amazing part, lol.

I for one plan on spending more time on here again - I have been kind of reminiscing about all the old forums I used to frequent.  Does seem like a different era these days.

Still no Lambo in my driveway but I did buy my son a Bugatti EB110 Hot Wheels recently, haha!

there are no discussions of current events anymore... tons of stuff out there that I and others would love to hear the knowledgeable members takes on but no one is making the threads. Will people reply? Dont know. Something changed it seems, as another poster said it might bite you in the ass, maybe that.

It's not only this forum. I think fb groups and soc media have pulled all the traffic from forums.

It proves the very casual nature of most of society.

Before social media, all we had were forums. Hell, before forums, we had email lists like Ferrari List and Lamborghini List....circa late '90s to early '00s. I believe they're still around mostly because the community forged back then was quite small and strong, and unlike forums, NOT anonymous.

Social media is fun, but is an awful place to hold real conversations, IMHO. There's no long term organization to the conversations, and there's less sense of an actual community as opposed to a bunch of strangers talking about cars, with maybe more annoying personalities on average.

It was fun while it lasted, glad to have the friends I made........like everything else, every good thing must come to an end.

I used to spend all kinds of time on here when I was in college, but it's almost 15 years ago that I graduated now (wait that can't be right...) - I had several forums that I spent regular time on.  It 100% feels like a different world these days - almost seems like modern social media kinda killed the community aspect of a lot of the internet in an odd way.  In my heyday of using this site, I think MySpace was my main social media, lol.

Here's my observation. Exotics are not exotic, nor special anymore. It's no longer "our thing".

These forums started when you had to be somebody to get an allocation. Today the cars are pumped out in large volumes with attractive lease terms to anybody with a few hundred thousand followers on social media. Social media has basically made exotics "common" and now seeing one is not as rare.

Lambo sold more cars than ever last year... Is that good or bad?

Just visited the site for the first time and quite a while.  Last I tried, it was shut down. I have to say I am a little stunned by how quiet it is. This used to be The Place for Lamborghini discussion. I actually came here because the other site has been turning into a bit of a ghost town. It was car week in Monterey last week and not one person posted about it there. Thought I would try coming here to see how the show was.

I don't know the why of it, but most forums seem to be quieter, and have far fewer active members. The broad general sites seem okay, but I am not interested in those. Gotten hard to find the die hard Lamborghini fans and owners to help you with your Lamborghini needs.

Wow - what a blast from the past! First time logging onto the site in a long while, saw this thread and had to post. Lambo Power was an AWESOME forum for owners and enthusiasts back in the day. Back when exotics were much more rare and the owner community was a lot smaller. It really was a different era. I met a lot of great people on this board and through the meet ups. Offline friends, business connections, SP did a bunch of work for me too. This community was great, drama and all. So many memories. Epic threads and discussions. Thank you for this space Alan and co! Best wishes to everyone, hope y’all are well and thriving. Cheers mates!
