  1. Don't mess with the bumper . . . if that is what you really wanted you should have bought an '11 or newer SL. The older look is specific to a single model year and looks great.

    Ummmm no.

Do the bumper and the rims and calipers lower the car on the factory shocks and it will look updated and modernized but still have the '08 rawness. Best of both worlds.

  2. Sorry, let me clarify what I meant. I wasn't insinuating she had anything to do with this however, I do think that it's crazy how almost everyone I knew, liberals and conservatives were upset about her getting off with no charges and then these two incidents of black men getting shot happen and POOF, everything about hillary is gone. Everyone forgets about it. Then this madness goes down. Of course, I know this happens all the time with the media, but it's crazy how fast everyone forgot.

    Still no.

  3. Car looks fantastic La Brit.

My ACR-E is being shipped to an upstate NY dealer today to have the differential replaced, there was a recall on a few specific VIN numbers that got bad ones. Have to say, Dodge has been totally accommodating with this annoyance. There are no quality Dodge dealers on Long Island so I sourced a guy upstate. Dodge is paying for enclosed transport to and from dealer and let me pick the transporter and dealer myself no questions asked. All they want is a faxed receipt and they'll issue me a check. Have to give them credit for top quality customer service.

  4. +100

As a previous owner of an 08, 11 & 13 SL I would hands down

Pick the newer car. Other than the 08 sounding a bit more raw, the

newer car drives better in every way including the Carbon brakes being

significantly improved. Do yourself a favor and drive both. Once I did

I instantly sold my 08 for the 11!

And yes, Toofs car is a fantastic deal all the way around!! And you can by from a great, well known enthusiast on this forum.

Gee.....maybe he has a certain budget which is why he's asking about '08's.

  5. Hey Brit ,

If you need me to go look at this car for you , I am not far from LOD and can certainly do it with ease.

And as kev99sv mentioned , John Hrad has been there forever.. I have purchased two cars from him and

would buy another without hesitation .

I bought my SL from John as well...straight shooter no complaints at all.

  6. Anyone know this car?

Been up for sale for at least 6 months with the price being lowered over that time.

They have an abysmal reputation but the car is exactly what i have in mind.

Car has had 4 owners which isn't bad over the last 8 years, however that is extremely low mileage across 4 owners...

Got to say that's the first time I have heard LOD called an abysmal dealer, and I bought my SL from them with no issues and know quite a few guys who have bought from them. Anyway, that SL they have had a long time and the price hasn't really dropped that much. It's had a few owners and been to Hawaii and back in it's travels. I KNOW they won't come down much on it, my friend offered 151K for it two months ago and the wouldn't take it.

  7. The information in step 4 regarding the sump plug and the engine block plug is erroneous and has been repeated many times incorrectly.

You need two sockets. This is OEM assuming no mechanic has changed them.

Oil tank is 8mm Hex. Engine block oil plug is M10 triple square serrated.

YOU WILL STRIP THE ENGINE BLOCK PLUG IF YOU ATTEMPT TO USE THE SAME 8MM HEX.

  8. Just a casual lurker here enjoying the thread with nothing to add except the question...does VegasGTR ever add anything truthful and or factual to the topic being discussed?

It seems everything he posts is either incorrect hearsay or an awkward backhanded complement.

  9. When I was looking to get my first Lambo, I wanted to trade in my then like new 2010 Viper ACR towards it.

Every dealer I contacted really low balled the trade, but LOD didn't and gave me a fair price. The SL I purchased from them was perfect as advertised.

I arranged my own shipping, which is what this poster SHOULD have done, but he was just looking for cheap I'll bet.

  10. The point though is that this idea that animals only kill for food and that's that, that only humans kill for sport and fun, is not true. Animals can be just as cruel and violent for fun and revenge as humans.

Trying to remember having ever read anything this preposterously stupid. Nope.
