  1. THe Z8 has retained its value well (hasnt gained or lost) since it came out it looks........... I remember looking at buying one for the same they sell now way back then.

    Most seem about $120k

I guess this depends on what the car sold for. I remember my father purchased a bmw at the time the z8 had just been released, and according to the dealers, collectors were paying almost twice sticker price for them (yes, $250k!). I don't know how many of them actually sold for that much, but it sounded like a lot of them sold for a lot higher than $125k.

Haha I remember the first one I saw on the road was outside armani cafe on newbury street in boston. I made sure to sit outside so I could hear what it sounded like as the owner drove it away. The owner walked up to the car, was probably about 24 years old (a lot younger than I would have expected due to the target market of this car), and revved once or twice, and as a crowd gathered around the car he grinded the gears twice trying to pull out. Ha, was pretty entertaining, but the engine/exhaust sounded great.

Very unique looking car though. Cerainly has its differences in terms of resale, and the attention it draws!

  2. I'm not a fan of the exterior from the photos, but I think the new interior design is very nice! I bet this car will look a lot better in person though, I didn't like the current model s class in its first photos, but really liked it when I saw it in person.

Isn't it horrible when you see a luxury car nowadays and you think it looks like a hyundai?!?

  3. Call me crazy, but I think it looks sick! Of course it doesn't have the performance of an SLR, but if you want a more aggressive looking sl than the amg and brabus kits etc, this thing is rare and very aggressive looking. At least it isn't based on some crappy kit car like a fiero or solstice!

  4. Why choose a Viper over a Porsche?

I think it depends on what you want the car for. I've always been a huge viper fan, and my first sports car/exotic will undoubtedly be a 97 Viper GTS, blue with white stripes. Although you could easily find a Porsche that fits within your budget, the viper feels more exotic because you don't see many of them. Everytime I get in my car I see corvettes & porsches (not many turbos though), but I rarely see vipers (maybe this is just because I live in New England?). I'd say go for it and get the viper! If it makes you smile and is what you want, get it!
