Damn! Sal Patel, 1999 Dodge Viper ( 244.43 mph )
-
I hope they set a new record, but the altitude won't help things.
The air density actually helps with drag at this level. If the turbos have the overhead to cover the added airflow required at elevation cars can go faster with the reduced drag.
-
Since the ETS GTR 255 mph piloted by Lucas will be at this event too I bet UR will be swinging for the fences. I bet we see a 265 mph this weekend!
-
That may be true Pete but seriously what would i get????

The rev limiter Haha

Damn! Bob Helms just went 220.5 haha!

I reality they likely aren't 7175's anymore as that is a fairly outdated model. Probably a GEN 2 6870 or 7275.

Looks like the first low boost passes from the last testing session yielded an 8.02 @ 185. Great start IMO. Will be curious to see this car develop!

From another forum this is what Tony says the botton does.
Well, it was a switch (not a button) tied in to various parameters, just in case.In that case, going from 8 to 9, as shown on the Motec dash, it only added 2 degrees of timing, which didn't break the tires loose. There's more boost as well. Not sure how much more, but the gates are still open.
The 230mph pass was on setting 7. It was up 2mph at 165mph from the 230mph pass when I lifted.

Looks like Willall Racing just finished up their billet block. How is UR and DP coming along with theirs?

Who will be the first to step up to X2 (or X3) version DCT? I wonder
Sounds like the Red MKS car is going to an X build first! Excited to see what they can do once the gearset is finished and they can throw more power at it!

Any Aventador TTs in your future?
-
Hopefully Saturday is dry enough for us to see a 250mph pass at the Wanna Go Fast NC event!
-
I'm sure the Huracans and Gallardos with big builds can be pushed to 1250+whp pushing the limits. They definitely will be a contender! The twin turbo vipers may be an issue as they can make 1400+whp on pump!

Good to see them running well! I'll be excited to see them run a number on a flat track soon haha! That "track" looks fcuking dangerous.
