I talked to him today and things is still looking real good. He talked very nice to me and he says he wants to make things right with me. I hope to see a money transfer in a day or so. I really hope that he is for real about this.
This isn't going to end pretty. I bet he already spent a big chunk of your $$.
Hope it does; but this Tony dude won't be selling me a Countach.
Roy would never let this happen.

I clearly have got to brush up on my sarcasm.
I bet you had a great time back in the day in Miami.
Hot Chick and a cool car.
We'll maybe the Countach was a bit hot inside it is Miami, however she does not have much on so I am sure she was quite fine. (yes I was being sarcastic again)
Good find, and thanks for posting.
Vic
Send me a note the next time you head back north.

OK, I know that is staged.
Every man that lives with a women knows that they have hundreds of pairs of shoes and yet we are led to believe that this woman is an exception?
Hey dude! Long time; hope you're well!
Who cares if it's staged or not; love those pics; what a great memory of how the 80's were....
Just look at the cars in the background!

This still isn't resolved? Wow - really curious to hear the story on this car....

Lol; I'm dealing with this right now - for $68.10! I've bought and sold under 100 items on eBay lifetime; always used PayPal; pay, get money, withdraw etc. Always small amounts. (100% feedback etc)
I sold something on Sunday, the buyer paid via Paypal; Paypal is holding my money for 21 days!
Some B.S. about my inactive/irregular bidding activity...

I am still trying to talk to Tony.
Hope it works for you either way.

I don't think Roy wants the car.
Are you at liberty to say what the car needs? Aside from what we think it needs, or want, can you elaborate at all? Just trying to educate myself a little here.
Thanks

This is what you get, when a chick falls out of favour with a Mexican drug lord:

Between this & Max Mosley; I am glued to the laptop & Iphone lately:

Sad story all the way around. Not to hijack the thread - but did anyyhing ever happen to the 219MPH driver?
Or is that issue over? I noticed the AZ news used some of the footage for part of this story.

88 1/2 - Any garage picture updates?

Did we ever verify if this car was sold at the auction or not? Or why it's priced where it is? Very, very alluring price..............

Is it an injected CT, or carbed? Does it have cats? First thing I would test is whether the fuel pumps are running. Easy way to do that is to carefully feel the exhaust on both sides after running the car for a couple minutes. If one side is hot, and the other not, it means one bank is not running and there is either an ignition or fuel delivery problem on that side. In my '84 injected CT, it would occasionally run really rough. Finally one day a friend was over, put one hand on the exhaust and found one side cold and therefore not running. After checking for power at the fuel pumps, turns out the contacts on my fuel pump relay were corroded, and that pump wasn't getting 12V. I pulled both relays (on the PC board in the left side rear wheel well), cleaned the contacts, and never had another problem.
If both sides are getting fuel, and the car has cats, one side could be dumping too much fuel into the exhaust. Either a carb float is stuck, or he has an intermittent ignition not firing the fuel/air mixture, and the excess fuel in the exhaust is causing the cat to overheat.
The first scenario will only result in poor drivability, the second is a serious fire hazzard, so have him check it out before he drives it again.
It's injected - Thanks for the info. I will pass along the info.
Thanks.

All:
I was following a friend in his '84 Countach; at red lights his right side exhaust was red-hot, and the engine was popping with the occasional flame shooting out the same exhausts. We were mostly in a lot of stop and go traffic. He didn't seem too concerned, and said the car needs to be driven hard - short stop light to stoplight driving does not agree with the car.
My questions is - the right side only exhausts being red hot and the flames etc - is that normal?
Any responses are appreciated - just want to pass along info. to my friend.
Thanks.
