  1. I found this Veyron repair bill from 2012. The car was registered in Russia, and had a collision with the wall or some other car.

Russian is not my native language, but I can understand some of the words.

    For example:

    1) Front bumper - around 37k USD

    2,3) 2xbumper grills - around 4.3k USD

    12) wheel arch liner - around 6k USD

    17) Front wheel and tyre - around 35k USD

And the whole bill is around 125k USD (3 883 583 rubles)

  2. We don’t often hear about Bugatti Veyron accidents. Perhaps it is the four wheel drive and extreme value which makes owners drive more cautiously. This Bugatti Veyron accident happened in Austria last night at around 10 pm.

The car was travelling along the A2 between Seebenstein and Grimmenstein in the direction of Graz. It appears as though the driver lost control of the car in wet conditions, crashing through a guard rail and falling about 40 meters down an embankment.

It must have been a terrifying experience for the driver, the car fortunately did not flip upside-down. The driver walked away from the accident without any injuries and was even able to provide accurate GPS coordinates to the police and salvage crews!

We are told it took around 1.5 hours to recover the car using cranes and two fire department vehicles. For the rescue crew, this was probably the job of a life time!

As to the damage sustained by the Bugatti Veyron, it looks as though remarkably few of the panels were damaged. The damage looks most severe at the front of the car, particularly the gouged wing. The rear wheels look to have sustained some damage and there is no telling what hides under the bodywork. Still, the owner will likely be glad that he walked away from the accident without any injuries.

  3. This is my first topic and a very first comment at this forum, so I would like to say HELLO to everyone!

My name is berkut and I'm 24 years old car lover from Europe.

I found that there are a few Veyron owners at this forum, so that's why I decided to post a question at this site, hoping that someone will give me a right answer. :)

Does anyone know is that gray trim that surrounds center console and whole dashboard made out of plastic or some metal?

I'm also curious to know what is the material that is used for hex bolts for the Veyron's suspension arms?

Those suspension arms are made of stainless steel, so I'm guessing that those bolts are made of the same grade stainless steel to avoid galvanic corrosion, but at the other side, stainless steel bolts (usually A2 grade) have lower tensile strength than the steel ones.

So does anyone know the answer?
