  1. So they did that for you ?

    Not yet.

But I know that there was a stuff up by somebody in IT at the factory as I was told 'there should be no reason for the difference in behaviour of vehicle" etc.

I'm speculating they copied the Av S sw. Problem is you can't customise SV as we have no 'ego' button like S.

So obviously, there was there was no testing of sw before release (at least for SV) hence mayhem with upset customers..

Good news is It is currently dealt with at the highest levels. I think they will fix it after they investigate it.

    Let's hope soon.

  2. Does the software come with the recall or with the exhaust?

I can ask them not to update the SW if it comes with the exhaust.

On a separate note, raylambo you must be your dealer's favorite customer :icon_mrgreen:

    Haha I must be.

The sw is the recall sw .

Once updated no going back as it is all in one file. Exhaust sw is separate.

But I have asked the factory to reinstall the previous sport module sw with the current sw as it sounds and performs better.

The more customers request that the more likely the factory will listen...

  3. True. The factory will not bother if customers are buying the old race exhaust (that was designed for the LP 700) for the SV.

It's all matter of taste what shape you like. I don't like that last combo either. It would have been nice if an SV version was designed by the factory or it doesn't change colour to yellow / brown or design a remote door opener etc All wishful thinking ...

BTW, I found out that the material is not chrome (as I thought) but steel and managed to find a place that polished it for me so it is shiny again -for now lol.

  4. My dealer replaced all the seals and tightened up the latches. My roadster does not squeak anymore but my dealer did say that this fix is just temporary and the noise will come back. It's only a matter of time.

I have 12,000km at the time of the warranty work and will report back when the noise starts again

I've got the same problem. I'm getting a new roof.

did he replace seals on the car above windscreen you mean (not actual roof) or what exactly? It is driving me crazy especially since my other Av Roadster does not squeak at all after 7000 Km. Mechanic finds it hard to pin problem.

MY SV R squeaks after 2000 Km!!

NOt acceptable if problem will come back.

  5. Yours has race exhaust right?

How does it behave in Sport and Corsa manual shift? Any difference from before?

    Yes.

Difference between race exhaust and standard is it's louder nothing else in manual.

Difference between now after recall sw and before is that now it has less crackles and pops backfire than before in all modes both manual and auto. More lame.

  6. I actually think the car makes less noise, this is actually consistent with the purpose of the software which is aventador s software and is designed to make the car more economical and also purge fuel tank vapours more often. I get the feeling that less fuel is released when you accelerate and then suddenly release the accelearator in higher gears - hence fewer crackles.

I tested driving mine behind an SV that didn't have update driving in same mode and the backfiring / noise was more In the SV that had old sw. So there is less noise...

  7. We had our cars done for the recall here in Sydney and I had heaps of complaints about Sport Auto sw from other owners here....

I know some people never use Auto but basically it's become almost like strada shifting up so quickly that it's in 6 gear when u r doing 60 km/ h. MA e we are the guinea pigs here world wide to get user reaction.

Wouldn't have been better if the factory just left that module alone and updated the rest ? Why fix it if it ain't broke?

Your thoughts if you had it done in other cities..

  8. Thank you mate. :icon_thumleft:

Are they doing some software upgrade when they perform the recall? I've never used the car in Sport Auto so I wouldn't know the difference, I will drive it to the shop in Sport Auto and after I pick it up to see if I feel any difference.

Yes the recall will include s/w upgrade that affect sport auto gear changes for whatever reason

  9. Not yet, I am taking the car in to have the recall done and the dealer said the exhaust might arrive on time to have it installed, hopefully that's the case.

    Looking wild your beast!

BTW, I would be interested to know what u think of s/w after recall in Sport Auto if the gears are changing too fast to high like 5 or 6 in 50-60 km/h, if u like it or prefer old s/w as some owners are saying..

  10. I hate to interrupt this love fest with a dissenting point of view but, fwiw, I sold my Adventador because I found the Huracan

more satisfying. There I said it. Flame suit on! Why you ask? I found the transmission on the A irritating. I did love the looks

of the car but, bottom line, every time I took the Huracan out for a ride it was soo much more satisfying for me. I always came back with

a big smile on my face. After almost 3 years of A ownership that did not happen. I love the looks of the A scissor doors but the car was always a pain to get into and out. I enjoy the simplicity of the H doors getting in and out.

The Huracan has amazed me with its overall performance. IT does not even come close to the beauty of the A car but, taken as a whole, the H car is simply terrific. Now if they ever put a DC transmission in the A I will take another look but the general consensus is that a DC

transmission will never happen in the A. If it ever did it would be a game changer for sure.

Lambo should fix the damn transmission in the A especially the clunky shudder on slow take off and gear changes. But if customers do not complain directly to the factory nothing will ever happen.

They should also have a button in the key to open/close scissor doors

Car looks and sounds great -on a positive note
