  1. I have not bought from Brian yet but I have asked him to help me find me a good 2003 VI Murci. I have talked to him over the phone few times. He is an excellent guy to deal with, he knows his cars (Especially Lambo) and not your typical car salesman. I would highly recommend him. A lot of guys on this forum will recommend him.

    Sent you an email brian.

If anyone on the board has bought from Brian before or can give me information on this car please pm me.

  2. Well take this for what it is worth, I am no tech, this is just from my experience and roughly what the tech told me on one occasion.

This error is usually the bank leaning out a little. The only way to know for sure if it is nothing is to take off the cap, reseat it, cycle the power a few (5-10???) times, and see if it goes away, otherwise, GET IT TO A TECH so he can plug it an and be 100% of the cause, the rest is just my conjecture. I found that sometimes the gas cap not being on properly, or the loose hose, kept firing up that error, and it should be the most common Error, E1-5. Not as if filling the G is not enough of a hassle anyway, that super heavy duty billet cap does not always seat.

When it happened to me the cabin filled with the sulphur smell, but there was no smell in the engine bay. Remember, Lambo vents the bay very well, so it won't be a big odor under there.

If you had an OBDII reader to plug in, I could help a little more. I am trying to remember of there is a way to get the real OBDII error code via the gauges and not the glorified check engine light.

I stopped for 30 minutes and then drove 5 miles ( light was off for 2-3 miles then came back on and now staying on. I stopped for 20 more minutes and then drove another 4-5 miles to home. G made it home safely. I do not have the scanner but I might order one. I will take the car to a dealer in couple weeks (nearest dealer is 3 hrs away) I hope it's nothing or somethig little. It could be the gas issue also. I never let it go pass halfway mark but today low fuel light came on before I stopped for gas.

I really appreciate your help. I will try the power on off cycle tomorrow and see if it helps and check the gas cap also.

Thanks once again for the quick response and suggestions/recomendations

    Once again thank you.

  3. Do you have a sulphur smell in the car? That may be a vaccuum hose that popped off. Happened to me twice in one weekend. If you are 10 miles away, you might be safe, but why risk it even if it is something as simple as a hose.

Cycling the car I think 5 times clears out most erroneous error codes.

I think I smelled something a little but then again had some truck next to me also. I have pulled over abit 30 mins ago and letting it cool down. I just out gas about an hour ago and drove 10 miles befoe the light came on. Is putting gas anything to do wtih it. I saw another thread few threads below mine and it was saying something about fuel tank

  4. Congratulations... My reaction was the same and I was thinking OH NO when I saw the Ferrari on the truck... lol but I was very pleased and happy when I saw the SV. Now Santa needs to find me a VI or an Orange 03 Murci ... Santa you better hurry :icon_mrgreen:

For a second I was a little disappointed when I saw "Ferrari" on the truck lol. Congrats and enjoy in good health

  5. This is what I am using for my Gallardo. My trailer is 102 wide (that is the widest California will allow) I will have to measure the exact distance between wheel wells. I think it will be too tight for a Murci (unless if I build a ramp/floor over the wheel well). I have a 24ft Haulmark Trailer. I would not recommend getting one this big (stick to a 20ft). I had Etrack installed (for the gallardo) but as everyone has mentioned the straps that goes over the tires and gets hooked on the Etrack below the tires can cause scratches on the rims (I used them once but during the drive, the towel came off and it ended up leaving a minor scratch on one of the rim finish) now I use a different strap (no metals) and it pulls the tires down and towards the side of the trailer wall (I use it in a V shape manner pulling away from the car, 2 D.Rings per tire) on all 4 tires. This new strap is much faster to put on, no chance of hurting the rims or bottom fender). even with the lift system I have to use a wide piece of wood that I put in front of the ramp. you can use couple plywoods stack them up so the car is already off the ground before it gets to the ramp. I don't think murci will make it without the plywood or some sort of mini floor elevation before getting on the ramp (as the ramps are not long enough and somewhat steep).

The frontal image shows both straps used at the same time.

  6. Driving a little fast has nothing to do with ego or attitude. And of course not in the city traffic but out on an open road it is natural to speed up occasionally. I had a great time in Monterey and all of the fellow Lambo owners I met were great bunch of friendly people. Can't wait to watch the Italian Stampede DVD. :icon_super:

  7. Awesome write up and great pics. Would love to see more pics. I hope you guys do this again and I will be joining you guys for sure.

I am just curious did anyone ended up getting a speeding ticket ? lol if I was with you guys there is a good chance I would end up getting one lol kinda hard for me to slow down :icon_super:

  8. I was curious to know if there is going to be any exotic car gatherings on Thursday Evening. I will be there on Friday morning/afternoon. I am kind of debating if I should go there on Thursday night or not. Someone told me a name of the street/place (forgot the name) that most of the exotic cars should be out there around 7ish Thursday Evening. I would like to confirm that so if anyone knows for sure please let me know. I know Italian Stampede will be coming to town on Thursday but not sure what time those guys are getting there. I am looking to buy a 6.0 Diablo so hopefully I will see some good 6.0 there. I do have plans for this weekend so I will be heading back from Monterey on Friday evening.

    Thanks guys

  9. I need your help guys. This is a California car and I think its been in California its whole life. I think maybe Lambo of OC use to service this car. Right now it is at Lambo of Newport Beach. Does anyone know the previous owner of this Diablo? What condition is this car in? Any story or history on this car? Any paint work / body work etc. Any past or present major mechanical issues that you are aware of? Any help or info is appreciated. Please feel free to PM me. Thank you very much
