  1. Man I used to spend so much time on here in college - I was just thinking recently about where I used to internet before Reddit - it was a lot of different forum sites (most of which have fully disappeared), then places like Jalopnik or Gizmodo - I would shop for stuff on ThinkGeek - all of that seems like its a different era now.  I am glad LamboPower is still here, but would def be nice to see more activity again.

  2. I used to spend all kinds of time on here when I was in college, but it's almost 15 years ago that I graduated now (wait that can't be right...) - I had several forums that I spent regular time on.  It 100% feels like a different world these days - almost seems like modern social media kinda killed the community aspect of a lot of the internet in an odd way.  In my heyday of using this site, I think MySpace was my main social media, lol.

  3. I haven't been on here since 2013 I think - job, wife kid, etc. - then kind of out of nowhere I was like, "hey, I used to spend a lot of time on LamboPower, I wonder if my account is still there?"  And sure as shit, I was able to log right in - I even remembered my password, which is probably the most amazing part, lol.

I for one plan on spending more time on here again - I have been kind of reminiscing about all the old forums I used to frequent.  Does seem like a different era these days.

Still no Lambo in my driveway but I did buy my son a Bugatti EB110 Hot Wheels recently, haha!

  4. I just recently got a Branch Ergo chair and it's quite nice - I like it a lot - not as nice as a Herman Miller i'm sure, but is also nowhere near as expensive.  Seat is supportive but super comfy, has all the right adjustments, but not too many.

unrelated - I joined this site in 2005 in college, then kinda lost track of things after 2013, but was still able to login to my old account!  Amazing!  Gonna start spending more time on here agian.

  5. This isnt the case with the Sport Chassis and similar type trucks is it? Ive seen on a brochure they claim a towing weight at 40,000lbs. But in another part they have said CGVW at 42,000lbs.

They arent bad at all. Buddy just bought a 07 6.7L 6 speed. He isnt concerned about speed just the ability to pull his trailers and getting good mileage when he isnt pulling. He did a DPF and EGR delete/tunner, the power that thing has now just after that is crazy.

850-900lb/ft tq is about perfect for these trucks IMO. Not to expensive yet, still reliable, doesnt really affect anything.

Yeah I did the deletes as well- and I agree completely on the torque- any more than that and you're probably going to have transmission issues (i've got the auto). I've actually managed over 22 mpg on the interstate (no trailer obviously) as long as keep it under 70- a lot better than the 16-17 I was getting stock.

  6. Unless I'm mistaken they only produced 6 of those, and last I heard all of which have survived to this day- legend has it (yes, legend, lol) that one owner in France in the 1940's disassembled his Royale and hid it in the sewers so the Nazis wouldn't get ahold of it during the war! Gotta love any 1930's Bugatti

  7. I don't have anything that large, but my truck is a Dodge 3500 with the 6.7 Cummins (heheh)- I've done some light engine work (bolt-ons basically) and a programmer/tuner- you would not BELIEVE the low-end torque of that thing- should be making ~850 lb/ft- and the factory included exhaust brake is a real life-saver.

  8. Good to see you back D.Wiggs- condolences on you father

I remember the old days of you and Allen getting into it in epic ways, lol- good times!

Is the SV going to be living primarily in OH or PA? I'd love to see that beast prowling the streets of the Pitt one of these days. I've actually yet to see an SV in person

You'll have to load up some pics of the house when it's done- sounds absolutely amazing!

  9. GF and I are planning a getaway trip to Kentucky to visit Jim Beam and Maker's Mark - should be a fun time. Also going to stop off at Knob Creek and introduce her to the AK-47!

Knob Creek is a great place- they have a big machine gun shoot/gun meetup thing every summer that is an absolute blast! (pun somewhat intended, lol)

  10. I thought Bourbon was only made in KY kind of how Champagne only comes from the certain region of france. I could be wrong, regardless, I love me some bourbon....

You are correct- a real Bourbon is only made in Kentucky- do NOT call Jack Daniels a bourbon in KY as you will be quickly corrected that it is a Tennessee whiskey (and you might get punched as well)- KY doesn't have a lot to brag about so they take their bourbon very seriously. I grew up about 20 minutes from Makers Mark and a number of other distilleries.

  11. Well, Scotty is getting some major Karma points out of this- way to go man!

My mom taught elementary special ed for 19+ years and i've seen how much joy those kids can get even from the smallest things. This should definitely be one of the feel-good stories for the year!

EDIT: unrelated: when I was typing up this post I just now realized that i've had 'Karma' spelled wrong in my signature for 6+ years, lmao!

  12. I have been using the housecarl everywhere I go. Extra arms against enemies and she can carry excess goods. Problem is, I left her on my way to the embassy mission. I told her to wait right before I jumped into a carriage. I don't remember where that carriage was, though.

    She's gonna be pissed!

Shit, i've got the same problem, lol- I don't know if I left her somewhere or she just died, but I can't find that damn housecarl anywhere- which sucks as she was really helpful in dragon fights- mostly as dragon bait, lol. I know at one point I was using the 'become ethereal' shout (you cant be harmed- basically turns you into a ghost temporarily) and was jumping off high cliffs for the helluvit- thought maybe she followed me and died, haha.

  13. ^ BMWRACERS post about traction comes to mind- I would be very surprised if there's every a RWD car that can do sub 3-second 0-60 (besides the Atom- but even then I bet that takes some serious foot-work to pull off). But you never know- who ever thought we would have a production car with 1200 hp that can do more than 265 mph (that's road legal and has a full interior)?! I mean thats just plain outlandish.
