I was wondering if anyone can answer my question, on the spec sheet under the standard specifications it says "dedicated race set up" as standard does anyone know what that involves?
Are they talking about the stiffer dampers, stiffer suspension arms, torsion bars and the P Zeros? is there anything else involved in the race set up?
I would like to confirm it if possible, it seems that I know more about it than my dealer I just want to make sure I will get it right.
You can opt for the normal setup of the LP560 if the (standard LP570) race setup is too stiff for you (for DD).

I visited the factory few days ago, they working on the new SL, it will come out in 2010 as a MY2011 it will only be 4WD, I asked about the 2WD version making reference to the 550-2 the guy that gave me the "private" tour ( very lucky) told me that there will be no 2WD version, when I mentioned 600HP he laughed and told me to be patient, I also mentioned that it wouldn't be hard since the 560 dynos around the 600HP mark, he laughed again.
They had some very cool stuff at the back, I was so surprised that he took me at the back that I forgot to grab the camera from my wife :eusa_wall: , there were heaps of SV's getting ready for delivery, wrapped and loaded in single car transporters, what a good looking car the SV is, the big wing really sets it off, white and orange were the dominant colors.

So if they say it will be a MY11 I suppose deliveries will start around September 2010?

I just had to show this again. As you can see I started a fraction of a second too early (hard to perfectly time a power launch) but no matter what the F430 would still be utterly destroyed.

Scroll to just below the pictures, you will find an embedded video there. It's a compilation of that event, the video needs to preload but it will start playing instantly (you just can't FF in the beginning). I'm there as well with my LP560-4 Spyder (Arancio).
At 01:21 you'll see me perform against that black F430. For that particular race I used the 560's launch control and it sure caught the F430 off guard It get utterly destroyed
My best time was 11.71sec with a trapspeed of 208kph (129.25mph).

Yes but I dont recall them all off the top of my head. I will dig thru some of my books and read up on it. Its the use of the TCS on/off and use of the sport or corsa buttons. I know the lurch mode is TCS off and corsa on hold your foot on the brake and slap the gas pedal down then release foot brake. Only tested a few times. Some times worked well one time it did not. Sorry dont have as much test time with 560 yet.
Jeff, if you could scan those documents with all the different launch methods of the LP560 and email or PM them to me that would be awesome. I'm planning on doing various Vbox runs with my car and it would be nice to see which kind of impact those different methods have on performance times.

Maybe a look at Rami's video above can help... Hold on brake, release them and then slap gas pedal with ESP off and SPORT on, the best way I can describe it.
Do NOT hold your foot on the brake when performing a power launch on a pre-LP560!!! If you want to do it like I did the car needs to be at a full stop, remove foot from brake, put the car into sport mode and turn the TCS (ESP) off. Then you need to push the throttle down to the bottom in one swift movement. The car will rev up to 4-5K rpm and will then release its clutch. Make sure your wheels are poitning to the correct direction when you do this

I'm still curious though how it will work on my LP560. Is there some sort of detailed how-to of all the different launch methods Jeff?

I have tested it on all Gs from 04-09 and on Murci from 04-09 if done right it works. I would not say how to do it if I did not test it. When I got back from training in Italy in 03 for the G could not wait to get back and test on Lambos press cars. I have also done it for customers in there cars so they would know how to do it.

All egears have launch mode LP560 have launch and thrust mods. Keep in mind this is hard on car. To launch you turn ESP off and select sport mode with the car in first gear remove your foot from the brake (and parking brake off) slap the gas pedal to the floor dont push slap to floor and be ready. RPM will go to about 5000 rpm and egear will do a 140 m.sec engagement of the clutch. That will spin all four wheels and go. Different year car have different gearing so some will work better then others. Use this info safely it your wheels are turned this can get out of control.
04 thru 08 are all the same LP 560 is different.
What exactly is different on the LP560's Jeff?

Heh, thx guys. I can't even begin to explain how much I love this car. It brings me that much more enjoyment than the LP640 roadster ever did. They are worlds apart.

thanks for the info on the custom badge company. I am having them design me a new badges for my lp spyder coming in. I am having them do the hood badge, the wheels, and the steering wheel. Again I appreciate the info. It was very helpful.

How much for the silver badge, you have it on the LP640 as well, yes? Is it all the same size?
I believe it was around 750 USD. Murci and Gallardo are the same size yes.
