The automatic transmission takes away from the car.I had a long discussion with Mclaren about it and they tell me that there is no transmission on the market that will take the SLR's torque and i find that hard to believe.Given that this is a race car and they are not giving it away they should have come up with an SMG box or short of that a Hewland.
However,Mclaren is so condescending they want to dictate to their customers what they should like
Is it just a stock transmission?
Why the third pedal?

Whats crazy about the 747 is when you factor in how high the pilot is from the bottom of the plane. Thats got to be hard to judge.
Not sure why those two jets felt the need to cut it so close? If a 747 has room to stop, surely they could have touched down a little later, no?

I doubt that power is where the SLR 722 might be falling short.
and this thing weighs 700 lbs less than the regular 722. so thats 722 = ~3700 lbs and this thing is right around 3000.
i'm not saying its not capable, I'm saying it got the same treatment the enzo got becoming the FXX, just no power upgrades.

basically an "FXX" 722 without anymore power? Can't use it anywhere, nice track car but at that price point might as well get an ex race car.
I think it looks hot and I would love to drive it on the track, but I agree with Aram and Clax.

I bet it will do 10's quite easily.
But, it doesn't matter. This is the same old story as when the C6 Z came out, so what? Its fast, but you won't see people dumping their G's to line up and buy it
