  1. I will mention a wrap, good idea.Yes its for a NZ car so only a hand full of colours to choose from and devaluing the car isnt a concern. It sounds to me like total repaint risky so will mention thought.

As for that trademe se30 it was a yellow one and a buck of bolts ,$200k was good price for straight car,but I would guess another $100k to get right.A set of wheels new costs $30knzd and that was the least of that cars concerns.

Not sure whatever happened to it

  2. So a friend wants to repaint his Gallardo verde ithaca from yellow. The local Lambo dealer said when they take the glass out there is a good chance it will crack. Is this just them mentioning there is a small chance to cover there butts or should it be a real concern.

  3. Is he using the stock wheels?

That is likely the major interference with the LP ceramics, that and the insane cost.

Does Brembo make a GTR setup for the murci? Worth looking into.

I'm sure if he calls AP or ALCON direct they can spec a caliper and build a rotor hat to hold whatever he wants.

Caliper and pad is where the power will come from, just get a rotor that fits and looks good if that is what he's after.

Yes stock wheels, beg my ignorance as but AP and Alcon are they US suppliers

  4. Hi Guys ,Have a friend who wants the biggest best brakes available for his 02 murcie. He approached his local Lambo dealer who said the new ceramics from the lp640 wont fit.

Is this true, would the lp560 ceramics fit ? If not to both aftermarket ceramics or normal big brake set is required.

planning on alot of track work, any advice on what is the best kit out there would be much appreciated

    Thanks

  5. Mclaren has always been function over form, every thing for a reason.I also agree that doesnt matter if its a real dog looking car, which to be honest I dont think it is.But I think we should give them some leway. We are talking about an inhouse derived and built mclaren chassis and new engine and with the racing experience in the last 50 years up there with the best I think its going to be fantastic.

mclaren automotive now has there website up for those interested, has nice interactive area.

Register your interest and get your car.... just after me...I hope....

  6. Definately not Gemballa, Techart or Ruf. This is a kit that was built in the early 90's for pre big bumper cars. The side skirts are especially atrocious.

So the question remains who the heck made it.Never seen one before? Does anyone here belong to a porsche forum that could possibly post the pic?cheers

  7. Just curious on the kit.I was thinking early Gemb, techart, ruf.Still would like to find out for sure. Also I agree if you want a fun car its ok.As for me im looking for a mint 964 3.6 turbo ,the search continues, and as im wanting one for my place in HK it may be a long wait. :crybaby2:

  8. Had 993 turbos before and last year bought a carrera s in white, loved the car but just too heavy with the turbo shell .As far as looks one of the best ever though. So as long as its just a nice little fun car then go ahead

  9. Mine has two factory mesh grills on each exhaust to help dissipate the heat just before the exhaust tips.Sorry no pics im on a trip.If you look at eurospares you will see.Now I know its not covering the tip but that excess heat plus your tip heat is prob whats causing the bubbling I think.
