He should be fine but certainly has some work cutout for him. When started, fuel and coolant began to leak!
ALWAYS go see older cars in person....pictures can make them look so good.

Thank you everyone! I'll suggest him to go to that site.
I looked at that car since it is just an hour away from me. Had lots of issues including rust. Got the owner down to $15K but I still did not pull the trigger. You might want to reconsider if you have not already sent the funds. The pictures are when he bought the car, not as the car is today, HUGE difference...just a warning. Owner lived on a dirt road if that tells you anything...rust all the way through on the driver wheel well...

Can you do a more indepth review of this car? Its amazing!
Not sure to say....
The build quality and panel fitment is amazing as is all the glass work. Kraftwerks did not try to "improve" the car but kept it as close to the original as possible...down to the tube frame and all dimensions. It is my understanding that only 3 are in the USA...mine is #11 of 24 built. One in CA (Red) and the other two here in Kansas (gulf and martini). Mine has a 3.4 with PMO carbs...about 320-330hp. Car weighs about 1,700lbs. Not the safest car on the road so you have to be very aware of other drivers....much more than even riding a motorcycle. SUV's do not see you at all! Sits about 37" tall. Two can barely fit...for about an hour Makes the GT40's feel like big cars. I absolutely could not imagine the guts guys had back in the day in one of these with 600hp and running 240mph....at night. Derek Bell told me that one of the first times he took a 917 up to speed he could not pull his foot off the gas because the body work flexed due to the air and trapped his foot....made him a little nervous!
I will take more pictures and post sometime soon.

Islero S for sale. I am helping a friend sell a few of his cars. This car is fantastic and the reserve is set VERY reasonable.

This has been floating around for a bit now. They are asking close to 500k if I remember correctly. RaginBull was pinged on it but said it wasn't the right car at the right time.
Beautiful ride even though it is an SV spec and not a true SV.
Asking closer to $950K. They bought it for $781K.

Alberto,
Great story...and a reminder to us all.
We need to see more pictures of your car....please post.

The black S2 needs too much work at the $165K price. If I remember correctly he purchased it from Roy for $160K. Besides a new clutch, you need to find S1/S2 front spats. The current spats are from a 5000S. Also needs correct rear wheels...they are 5000S wheels, the fronts are correct.

Brian, Countach 5000S is not a downdraft, it's a sidedraft... QV and 25th are downdraft cars.
If you want a gear knob i have one brand new, but it is the official replacement sold by Lamborghini spare part service, not the OE of 30 years ago.
ciao
Sorry...should have said 5000 QV....it is a 4 valve car.
Please PM me on the gear knob. Your car is looking fantastic by the way.

The 5000S is a downdraft carb car. I will be weighing each style of wing (2) as well later tonight...have to pull them down off the wall
The S2 actually had a little more than 1/2 tank....so I know it is probably under 3,000 lbs.
Emilio...I do need one of those on the S3....please shoot me a good price I also need two shift knobs....please PM me.

Those that do not believe there is a difference have never had both side by side with a tape measure. Even the rear fenders are different. I have measured 4 cars...all now in CAD. 5000S DD, 5000S, LP400S S3 all the same, LP400S S2...much different.
