Congrats on the purchase! What the heck kind of transport is that? I guess it works but I would be nervous as all get out.
Its a flat bed. Used plenty over this side of the pond. You do wonder if your car is safe but the driver assured me he's never lost a car yet. Even transporting in the Alps. Must say I was keeping a close eye upon the way back to the UK.
Got here nice and safe.

So, no doubt I'll be asking lots of questions, which have been asked before and for this, I apologise in advance.
For the 87 QV, which model Alpine was installed as standard equipment?
Thanks

Hey Albert, so you are getting your carbs setup every 2 years? Is this standard or just something you do. I'm interested as reading a lot of forums, most people tend to think that once the carbs are set, you can leave them alone for a period of time.

Loving the garage! I'm jealous. White on white = fab colour combo!

Hi all, where can I find out what the original purchase price would have been for a 1987 QV with wing option?
Any ideas?
tks

True, i spent a huge amount of money to tune the carbs: 30 euro (less than 40 USD).
And then you are right: Ford Taurus... no worries!
ciao
30 Euro's, it's worth paying the plane ticket and some accomodation at those rates. . .

Yes, I saw that. Excellent choice!
I think so, but then I'm biased!
Just been reading the thread on the Russ's lucky escape on that nasty Countach that Tony sold him. What a drama !!!!

I posted this on most other forums, but forgot about this one. No doubt some of you would have seen already, but for those that have not.
I picked up this beauty 2 weeks ago. QV, DD, LDH.
She's gone down to see my specialist, Mike Pullen, for a few bits and pieces.
Needless to say, Im over the moon at finally securing the car. It was an experience to journey back from Holland to the UK. The looks from other drivers and a crowd swarm at a petrol station when we popped in. People taking pictures, asking to see the engine, asking to sit in (no!) etc.
So, she's in the family now and even the wife loves her. We are both looking forward to using her in due course, not that with winter approaching, much opportunity will arise.
She's a keeper for sure and will be loved and cherished.
Will add picture in due course.

Hey, I've been offered a set of 6ltr Diablo wheels.
Anyone know if these will fit on a 355? Will I need to modified the car in anyway, shape or form ?

Could be a good deal for those who can take this on. However, to source a replacement interior. Sounds painful.
Dare I say it and upset a few people, the worst case is to part it out. But, I hope some brave soul steps up to the plate to return her to her original glory.
