    Yep, looks like an ad hoc tow hook hole and I know the engine have had at least one major breakdown (and resulting rebuild). Lazy owner to not fix the mesh hole properly...

     

    No pics of the engine compartment on the website, and I actually never went there today since I have a 6,5h drive one way and I was starting to get some bad vibes.

    So, if I got it right, the crossmember is the (so far) green part on your G, and it is needed to give sufficient support for the wing, right? Great info btw, had no idea about this.

    Yes, a good drop would def be on my list, wheels maybe.

    Still a bit scared of the early G's in terms reliability/costs, as Destructo also pointed out. This car has already had the complete engine rebuilt from an earlier breakdown.

     

    Price equal ~75k USD for those who wonder, All pre LP-cars in Europe have basically gone up ~10-20% from the bottom a couple of years ago.

    Mine was a bit higher up and actually broke in three pieces, but my post-surgery X-Ray looks almost exactly like this with the steel rod and four screws. http://www.basejumper.com/images/photos/as...re__Medium_.jpg

     

    I was actually back on the bike in about 5 weeks! This was 12 years ago and yeah everything is perfectly cool now. Still get knee pain from time but i'm not positive that even has anything to do with the break/surgery. Had the rod and screws removed about three years after the break, that hurt quite a bit and left my leg sore for quite some time.

    Holy shit! That's a serious piece of metal in there. Very impressive you were back on the bike that quick!

     

    I don't recommend it, but shit happens.

    Well done! What did you do, just a freak accident slamming your elbow into a rock or something?

     

    I folded my tib/fib pretty good in a MX race, had a big stainless rod put into the center of my fib with some screws. Still have a sweet lump on my shin from that one.

     

    Yep, happened pretty much like that, went flying over the bar and hit a rock hard with my elbow.

     

    Had to google tib/fib fracture since I am not familiar with the terms, not very pretty pictures, must have been painful as hell if yours was anything like those google suggested.

    I hope you are fully recovered by now!

    Landing in Vegas tomorrow morning as the festivities begin! :) Any LP guys in the area that are around, shoot me a PM and maybe we can meet up! (will be with 6 of my friends and groomsman, we are all between late 20's - early 30's). Would love to meet some of you guys.

     

    NO idea what they have planned for me/us as they have done a pretty good job of keeping the ENTIRE trip a secret. From the hints and whispers I have gathered though, it sounds like they really went above and beyond to make the trip special for me.

     

    Oh, and on other news...I'm getting married in 11 days. :icon_mrgreen: Everything sure came up fast!

    Great thread, my resolutions are:

     

    - Stay single this time (can't loose focus due to GF again)

    - Finish Stockholm Marathon (never tried, not a runner)

    - Do a minimum of five track days (the thing I love to do the most but it's been close to zero for the last couple of years)

    - Do something else than what I am currently doing for a living

     

    Let's make it happen! :icon_thumleft:

     

    Damn, didnt realize this was the resolutions for 2013 thread.

    With only 7 days left, staying single should be within reach. The other parts might get a bit more tricky. :eusa_think:

    First blush stats are done as the fight unfolds. Once there is tape each round is reviewed slow-mo and replayed to get an accurate tally. It's typical for first postings to differ widely from final totals.

    Just rewatched the fight. To me it wasn't so much about Jones's shortcomings as Gus's exceptional performance. Jones fought great but Gus was a lot tougher than anyone gave him credit to be. FightMetric stats below as well as damn good sportsmanship from the hospital just after the brawl.

     

    I do not know anything about UFC. So, is it ok to change the stats?

    Have you used the 5S?

     

    I just upgraded to iOS7 and I like it, full benefits will come with the 5S and the energysaving/smarter apps. I can't wait to get my goldphone so I can call the chick jpegs posted :icon_thumleft:

     

    Not really, my impression was based on the promo vid in this thread.

     

    Gf said the same thing about the IOS 7, positive things that is. My own experiences when updating to new IOS on my old iphones was usually more like crash during update and then reset to factory. Yay! :eusa_wall:
