Please give me a lesson on E-Gear vs Manual

I am in the market for a G and curious what is the best way to go. There is a very good possibility that I will TT this car later on. So here are a few of my questions.

1. Which is better for strength and durability?

2. What is the price to service each?

3. If I do go TT which will be better as far as stronger aftermarket parts being available?

Thanks in advance Gentlemen!

If you're getting an 04-05, 100% get the 6 speed.

If you're getting 06-08, 70% get the get 6 speed.

If you're getting a SL, 70% get the 6 speed (but good luck finiding one)

If you're getting a 560, 100% get the E-gear.

There is no 'strength' difference. The difference is mostly for racing. If you TT the car, launching the car is basically up to the computer.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. How about replacement and service costs?

You should definitely test drive both. I wanted a manual 6-speed but when I drove the manual, the pedals were too close for my feet (size 12) and I accidentally hit the brake pedal way too often. I ended up with the e-gear and I've grown to love it. I'm not sure but I doubt I could manually shift any faster. Just my .02.

Yeah, I do need to drive both. Usually I am not an automatic person but I think if I TT this car that E Gear is going to be the ticket.
