Diablo reverse light switch

I spoke with Glen w/ AMH parts today regarding a reverse switch for my Diablo. He said he may have one in stock and he will get back with me Monday morning.

 

I figured in the meantime I would ask if anyone knows if the reverse switch would happen to be a non lambo specific item and if anyone knows the brand and part number for the replacement switch.

Yes. It is a Sipea 7820 unit used on Alfa Romeo and FIAT's

Just found out that the Backup Switch for the 5000QV (the one that screws into the Transmission), is an Alfa Romeo and FIAT direct replacement.

 

Lamborghini Original (2409895) is a SIPEA 7820 which is $95.00

 

Replacement is a Facet 34266000

 

I got mine for $13.50 from International Auto Parts.

Just replaced mine and it worked like a charm. Here is photo, new Facet unit on the left, OEM SIPEA on the right:

I forgot to add, that I am not sure if the Diablo uses the same switch as the Countach.

 

I haven't had a chance to look. I just know all the Countach varients used the same switch.
