Look I love GTRs, they've been my favorite platform for almost 5 years and still is. Lambos/Audis run shit now and have been for years. I don't know another platform that can produce 2500hp, that pass inspections, and that can be street driven on street tires while looking stock. I really want to know thought it would be a good idea to compare a 3.8L - 4.3L V6 to a 5.0L - 5.2L V10....

E85 or E98 is great stuff, it just can be a pain to deal with. Race gasoline is just easier to make power with, and the only thing you would have to worry about is spark plugs, but that's only if you are using leaded fuels, like VP-113, C16/Q16 or Import. Ethanol doesn't harm spark plugs, but it causes frequent oil changes and can damage the bearings over time if you're not maintaining the car properly. People just use race gas because it's less of a headache to deal with and it's simple.
