  1. Dasnake, our hypothesis is exactly the same, that the fan for the a/c is not running at max speed and hence the low cooling. But our hypothesis relies on the following assumptions: - The sensor giving the -70 deg cel value is faulty / unplugged and hence the ECU isn't commanding the fan to run above 2800 rpm , whereas it should run at max rpm of 4000 rpm or as close it as possible OR - The coding of the car isn't letting the fan run over 2800 rpms. I have attached a coding specification list as well for that reference. Trying to find out about the location of the faulty sensor as well as the coding specific to my region. The coding chart attached is for the HVAC of the LP560, which is region specific.
  2. Yes, that could be the case, and for that I need to know the location of this sensor to see if it is unplugged.
  3. Hi guys, I have had my 560 for nearly 6 months now and I am facing a/c cooling related problems. Up until now, the a/c was working fine and was rather cooling well. But living here in India, the real heat of summer comes down during the month of may-june-july. I recently started noticing that the 560 a/c isn't cooling well at all. At best it is blowing air with a hint of cooling and is now downright unbearable when I want to drive the car during any time of the day. We checked the gas leakage and it was negligible at best, but we still refilled the a/c gas and it made a bit of difference in the cooling but not by a lot. Since we have the LARAs system handy, I checked the HVAC system on my car and found a few strange temp readings that I am going to attach here. Please keep in mind that the a/c gas pressure hovers around 19 - 21 bar so intense gas pressure(around 30 bar) isn't the cause of the cooling to shut down. In image 1A , the "central outdoor temperature sensor" keeps giving the lowest reading of -70 deg cel even when it is +43 deg cel temp outside. Image 1 shows what the actual values should range between. Image 1B shows the values and the real time info side by side. In Image 2 you can see that the Temperature Fan sensor is about 2800 rpms and this remains constant , even when the engine is fully warmed up and outside temp is 40 deg cel. This fan controls the cooling of the a/c gases as it cools down the radiator. So while it should be running on max rpm when its really hot outside , it still runs on 50% speed regardless of outside temps. My assessment is that since the "central outdoor temperature sensor" is not changing its readings, that may be leading to the cooling fan of the radiator to work at half its full capacity, thereby leading to below average cooling as the a/c gas isn't getting cooled down fast enough to make the air con in the car any better when it is very hot outside. Can anyone shed some more light on this? Can anyone tell me where we can find this "central outdoor temperature sensor" on the car? We don't have any authorized dealers around here so I need all the help I can get from my fellow 560 owners. If anyone of you can route my query to a lambo technician, I will be very grateful to you. Thanks -Karan
  4. Thank you all for your compliments!
  5. For those of you who'd like to see , here are a few pictures of our Aston that my friend clicked along side the 560. Enjoy . =)
  6. What a lovely color ! Enjoy the car in good health and please post interior pics!
  7. Very good question. I do not know what previous generation of Lamborghini's felt like when driving , as I had never driven/been driven in one , apart from the LP640 and the 560. But going on what I have read in magazines/forums and heard from fellow owners of old lamborghini's , I think it would be reasonable to assume that lambo's were never meant to be daily drivers or extremely comfortable cars, as they were more about the sound/acceleration/feel and flair! In that sense , the LP640 wasa 'true' lambo, and the 560 , in that sense, isn't really a 'true' lambo , as it is very comfortable and almost a good DD, but also has the flair of design , great sound and feel! The acceleration isn't as violent as it used to be in the LP640 , as the Murci had bursts of violent acceleration and gobbles of torque higher up in the rpms , whereas the 560 has a smoother torque curve and kicks the body back in a more gentle manner. But having said that , I love the 560 as an overall package more than the 640 , no doubt about that . But to be honest , I miss the craziness of the 640 . I wouldn't want to get a 640 again, but in a parallel universe and in another time , I wouldn't mind having both. =)
  8. I am on board for the VI calipers for sure! I like the present look of the rims , but I won't discount the possibility of black rims in the future.
  9. Finally, after 2+ years of waiting, I got my LP560. As some of you may recall(6speeders specifically) , I was having a tough time selling the LP640 , but we finally managed to sell it and I placed a factory order for this lovely VI 560 with all the options I wanted. The difference b/w the 560 and 640 , for me , is the obvious comfort level of the 560 , the ease of drive and the driving experience. What I do miss is the violent acceleration of 640 , but the 560 is no slouch! The only mod planned so far is the Tubi valve-less exhaust , that should be arriving within the next 2 weeks. Will keep you guys posted on my review of the Tubi exhaust as well.
  10. + 1 !! Only then can I compare this sweet setup with the Tubi non-valved exhaust for the 560 . That Tubi has the best guttural noise that I have ever heard!
  11. Thank you FabSpeed and Stuart , I will keep both of you in mind before making a final decision! I am also considering the Capristo now. But I wish to know if any one here has a Tubi system on their 560 and if it is the valved or the non-valved one , and what is their take on it?
  12. Guys, I need help with choosing an exhaust system for my 560. I have gone through the various threads that explain in detail the exhaust choices and wish to finalize my choice between the following : - Tubi - RSC Tuning I had also considered the Kreissieg system , but they are still searching for a test car to develop a system for the 560 and are unable to give a ETA for the same. I checked out the Capristo system and I did not like it. Now I was nearly sold on the non-valve Tubi exhaust for the 560 , until I checked with Tubi about a possible CEL issue. To which I got this response : "In theory there will always be a risk of that. Since the system includes test-pipes, there would be a chance the the CEL could get tripped. What we do to help avoid that is supply the exhaust with machined secondary O2 spacers. We've installed the system on some cars (with the spacers) and had no issues with the CEL. But then on a couple of cars, the CEL still got tripped. It seems to vary from car to car....but overall, the larger percentage of them are fine once the spacers are installed. Even the 2 cars that did get the CEL didn't seem to mind, because the sound of the system made it worthwhile for them." Since I do not want to take a chance with a CEL issue , I'd like to confirm first if anyone here has the non-valve Tubi exhaust for the 560 and if they have ever faced any such CEL issues? Secondly , people who have the RSC exhaust , I wish to take their feedback. Are they happy with the build quality and sound of the system? Would it be recommended over the Tubi / along the Tubi system? Thanks and Regards -karan
  13. I may be able to answer your question . In my case , the complete opposite of what you are going through , happened. I fell in love with the Murci LP640 and never looked at the Gallardo(at the time the 560 was not launched). I had also never driven / sat -in either of the cars. After the LP640 came in , I enjoyed it thoroughly for the first few months. Loved every bit of the design , looks , power and sound . Soon after the initial charm had worn out , I started to look at the short-comings , or rather the flaws smacked me in the face. The LP640 was NEVER an easy car to drive . Seats were very uncomfortable and the driving position was off-center (this is coming from a relatively compact 5feet7inch person, not a 6feet plus giant). My car was running trouble free initially but over time certain CEL issues came up. The ground clearance is very low and suspension is very stiff. In the midst of these issues , the LP560 was launched and a couple of my friends bought the 560. I had the pleasure of extended seat time in the car and also drove the 560 extensively and after driving the car , I immediately knew I had to get it! Agreed that the 560 solved many problems that were faced in the 520 . but the 520 in it self was an awesome car . The 560 / 520 are relatively ,much more comfortable and practical than the Murci/LP640. You can get nearly , if not the same , excitement from the Gallardo ,that you would from a Murci, at a lesser price and with much more drive-ability. Although the Murci is a great looking car and sounds awesome , I would not say it is the best lamborghini to own. The Gallardo on the other hand , is. I would still recommend you get seat time / test drive both the cars to be sure of what you like , but I can say from personal experience of driving/owning both the improved murci(LP640) and the improved Gallardo(LP560) , that the Gallardo was always and will be always the better choice if you wish to drive the car a lot. If it is a matter of keeping it in the garage and taking it out once or twice in a week , then the Murci is a right choice.
  14. But then why are there conflicting reports that the suspension is too soft for aggressive driving and that it causes torque steer / wobbles when cornering aggressively ? I am all for getting the comfort package but not at the cost of an inadequate suspension setup. Are there after market suspension kits for the LP560? That would solve most of my problems.
