Unfortunately, R8Talk is definitely the most popular forum for R8 owners. I'm on it as well, but find myself either here or LamboPower wannabe forum (haha, the LP autocorrect for other forum names is awesome!).

how does your R8 compare to your GTR? DD ability, launch, fun factor, roll on power, etc....
My R8 and my GTR are very different. The GTR has so many mods and is ridiculously fast. It has 700+ hp. The GTR is not really daily drivable just because of the fumes. It is a real animal on the road though. Almost nothing touches it. The power is always there and is endless. The R8 is an absolute blast to drive everyday. It is comfortable, fast and fun as hell!

I am really enjoying my V10 R8. I thought the V8 was adequate, but overall, underpowered. The V10 puts you closer to the Lambo/exotic experience for sure. The R8 is a very balanced car and a blast to drive--terrific steering..

Welcome to LP. Your R8 looks great...major props on a getting a proper 6-speed, too. Would love to add an R8 as a general purpose, all-around daily car.Thanks! I could only do the 6-speed manual. I mean it is even gated! Such a blast shifting through all the gears! It truly is the perfect, daily drivable exotic.

Having owned both, I am much happier with the V10. I didn't think the difference would be so drastic, but it really is. The extra power is very noticeable and I have absolutely no regrets. If you can swing the V10, I would absolutely suggest you go for it. The V8 has power and is a lot of fun to drive (as I have tracked mine), but the V10 is really in a whole different league. Not to mention, some of the options on a V8 come standard on a V10 (helps justify the costs a little). Good luck and please feel free to ask me any questions.

It would be a real blast! It's funny how many R8 owners seem to have GTRs too! Glad this is such a great community! Real happy to mentioned it when we met.
Welcome to the site. Ya, some are friendly, some not so much... Very nice set of cars! I was going to buy an R8 prior to the LP560 but all the pricks on LP persuaded me otherwise, lol. The GTR is awesome as well! Congrats on the nice rides.

A couple people tried to persuade me towards an LP when I was purchasing my R8, but I decided the R8 was a bit more practical for everyday use. I will try to get some pics of the GTR so you guys can see it. Appreciate all the kind words!

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. Found out about this site from Bill (CGT-N-IT). I already recognize some members here from other forums (I won't mention forum names). The place is great and seems to have very friendly, knowledgeable members. I'm from the Boca Raton area (South Florida) and I'm always looking for another reason to take out the R8 (it is my daily driver, lol). Anyway, here is some info and pictures of my 2010 Audi R8 5.2. Just some background info, the car is Ibis White with a Black interior. It is an Audi Exclusive R8 and has some pretty cool extras. The seats have the alcantara inserts and the car still has the extended leather option. All the plastic pieces are wrapped in leather. It has a bunch of MAcarbon pieces like the emergency brake lever, shift knob, radio surround and ashtray cover. It has a custom alcantara wrapped steering wheel as well. The car has the carbon fiber side blade with the carbon fiber mirrors, carbon fiber front splitter and carbon fiber rear diffuser. It has 20" Avus Racing wheels (1 of 5 sets in the world) wrapped in Michelin PS2 tires. All the emblems on the car have been painted gloss black and the "R" has been painted Scuderia Red. The brake calipers have also been painted Scuderia Red with a black R8 stamp. The engine cover has been painted Scuderia Red. The car has a Quicksilver Titanium exhaust system installed with the tips painted gloss black. To top it off, it has a clear bra on the entire front end, side blades and mirrors. I think that covers everything. Enjoy the pictures. I absolutely love this thing! These are some pictures from when I first got it. The car has since been tinted.
