  1. It just looks too nice to be a test mule for something.

I also noticed the black tape on the side, hiding something, also there's a cover next to it on the right side ... did someone not fit it right and the wind caught it from the left, just too late to avoid Jasper taking these photos?

I don't think it's another SVJ evolution or a GT version ... it's too timid for that, the little black rear wing looks great, but for an SVJ v2 or GT ... those would need massive wings, something like SCV12 style.

Could be a bespoke build for a customer, you never know ... exposed engine might not be the best idea in some climates I guess, and this car looks completely finished.

I'm hoping for an Aventador Si, an evolution of the S adding hybrid power, about 30hp or so getting up to 800hp in total ... Aventador S Ibrido as a swansong?

  2. Finished the work on the interior view of the configurator ... time to start playing around with the seats, dashboard, console, steering wheel, stitching, piping, cross stitching ... all of it : http://www.lamboconfig.com/lamboconfigurator_dib51aiaa01d61uduuu61kd61ddk6161k1anakmuh61du6149a.html

Now working on the seats view, and showing the interior choices on the external views ... still some work to do.

Shows are expensive and don't have the ROI of dealer-hosted private events where you feel like a person and not just a drooling meatsack. If you want the attention for having a car or standing on the other side of the velvet rope in front of the commoners, that's on you. (not you specifically, obvs) It is not alienating from potential customers, it is knowing your customer.

I totally understand the massive costs of those big shows ... but isn't that kid drooling behind the velvet rope a possible customer in the future?

Today it's all about Social Media influencers, they get invited to everything, and I get it, they have a large audience ... but 99.9% of their audience are the drooling meatsacks you mention, so what's the point?

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the shows as a member of the press, so I did have access to all the stands ... but I still think it's a pity they won't be showing the new cars to the general public anymore ... there is no Reventon, no Veneno, no Centenario, no Sian in Belgium ... so without those shows I would never see any of these cars in real life, and even if one or two get sold in Belgium, many owners over here never drive these cars, so not even at events will you run into anything really special (apart from the yellow and black Centenario in the Netherlands).

I think the bigger, more important shows are still a massive exposure for makes like Lamborghini ... but sales are strong, so general public shows are no longer important it seems.

I have been able to visit nearly every IAA in Frankfurt, the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris and the Geneva Motor Show since 2007 ... I loved it, hard work getting decent photos each time, but such an amazing experience each and every year ... so I'm sad this has come to an end, sorry.

  4. Lamborghini has released their Super SUV back in late 2017, and sales have raised to unseen levels for this V8 powered off-road vehicle from Sant'####, during 2019 no less than 8,300 Urus were delivered ... mostly in different shades of grey but also in the wild yellow finish ... for the 2021 model year the palette of colors has been enlarged, and now you can even ask the Ad Personam department to create your bespoke Urus.

    2020_urus_pearl_capsule_17.jpg

The Centro Stile design department created the Urus Pearl Capsule as the first exclusive customization option for this model, using a bespoke two-tone exterior with a glossy black roof, black spoiler lip, black diffuser, and exterior rear-view mirror housing ... combined with a special selection of high-gloss, four-layer pearl shades like Giallo Inti, Arancio Borealis, and Verde Mantis.

Matt grey exhausts at the rear fit well with the massive, 23-inch glossy black wheels that boast a touch of color to complement the bodywork ... color-coded brake calipers complete the intimidating exterior look of the Urus Pearl Capsule edition.

And the bespoke Pearl Capsule continues on the interior of this amazing Lamborghini Urus, color-coded leather upholstery combined with Nero Ade Alcantara center sections on the seats, complete with the famous Q-Citura stitching pattern ... but a very nice Urus logo and TriColore flag are embroidered on the seat back too together with glossy carbon fiber panels and instead of the light grey parts on previous years of the Urus, now we see black anodized aluminum details.

    2020_urus_pearl_capsule_18.jpg

Urus customers can now opt for a very special, matt grey shade called Grigio Keres ... which is exclusive to the Urus model, additionally a matt black, matt white and two shades of matt blue are now also possible as Ad Personam options.

For the 2021 model year 'upgrade', the Lamborghini Urus receives a new, exclusive key and an improved Parking Assistance Package ... the Urus can now park itself parallel or perpendicular at the touch of a button. And just in case you want more music than those thundering exhausts supply, the Urus can now be ordered with the Lamborghini Sensonum sound system ... 730 watt of power over 17 speakers.

And this is only a few years into the production of this amazing Super SUV from Lamborghini, I'm already excited about an additional model and a mid-life facelift ... this will be something amazing to look for shortly.

With everybody posting the Verde Mantis and Arancio Borealis images (there is no Giallo Inti in the press release photo set) I just couldn't resist creating the pearl yellow version myself.

  5. How about something like this, not too much blue on the interior, but as the exterior is blue with yellow accents, I went for blue trim on the seats, side of the steering wheel, front of the dashboard and the top part of the dashboard pod. Yellow comes in on the 'Y' on the seats, the SVJ logo, the Bull crest on the headrests, stitching on the dashboard and a horizontal bar ... as on the exterior, the yellow is there, but it's not overwhelming and 'pulling attention'

The front of the dashboard has a blue section, that is continued on the steering wheel, but only on the sides, might be a nightmare to maintain, but blue on the top and bottom of the steering looks off with the front of the dashboard being blue ... in that case the top and bottom of the dash should be blue ... and then you're getting too much blue again.

    With sport seats:

    Or with comfort seats:

    vcc_wibagllab02gdghl0gh0glhadallhh12glahagaaaaaaaaaaaa.png

I prefer the look of the sport seats, but personally I would also go for comfort seats ... I'm getting old, I know :P

  6. Belgium has been put on lock-down as of noon today ... they don't call it a lock down, but it effectively is.

All shops are closed, except groceries, pharmacies and pet-food shops ... gas stations also remain open, but everything else closes down. Only one person per 10m² is allowed in the groceries shops and for up to 30 minutes only. No visiting relatives, not even when they are sick, it's not allowed. People aren't even allowed to visit their husband or wife in hospital fighting the Corona virus, even if it's lethal ... no way to say goodbye anymore.

Toilet paper, sanitizing gels and pain medication is sold out just about everywhere, massive lines in front of the groceries stores, and they all have security guards posted outside ... my local pharmacy installed a glass plane to stay behind and they don't take any cash ... only payment by card.

Things have been played down for weeks over here, but over the last few days it's obvious this is going to create massive economical impact.
