  1. Tires on tire rack are very close in price . Pirelli has a monopoly on these urus tires for now. The alignment required all the adas system components to be calibrated which required between 6-8 hours so needs to be done at a Lamborghini or Audi dealer.

  2. Question for Urus owners. What kind of wear are you seeing on your tires? I have the 23 inch Pirelli P Zero Pz4 285/35R23 325/30R23 tires and after 7500 miles I was told I have about a mm (2k miles or so) left before replacement. I dont track the car or do burn outs. I do drive at decent speeds with not much stop and go traffic.

Im having the dealers replace the tires and apparently it also needs an alignment because its slightly off. No pot holes hit or sudden shocks that I know of. The alignment is 1400 bucks and the tires are 680 each for the fronts/860 each rears. Pirelli has a monopoly on these OEM fits and prices them accordingly.

Interestingly I was also told that if I go with same size in another brand tire it could void warranty for transmission because they have seen faults appear due to different compounds.

So was talking to someone well connected today and I don’t know if it is true as I’ve not heard it elsewhere.

But apparently the V12 is to be dropped from the Aventador replacement as they just can’t get it light enough.
Same person said the order came from Lamborghini head office and the factory is not at all happy about it and the workers went on strike for several days over it.  Pretty specific stuff if it’s bull.

I had heard in August that Audi was putting a lot of pressure on Lamborghini to replace the v12 with 4.0 v8 but I thought no way. The v12 is part of Lamborghini heritage and soul. I cant believe this would be possible.  I wonder if the weight is an issue because they are trying to combine it with a hybrid system.

  4. Ok I didn’t know that it is bypassed when valves are open. Thats weird that it would bypass so it defeats the whole purpose of  having it if all you need to do is go above certain rpms. Is that just an US feature since it’s not required in the states?

if that’s the case then valve controller sounds like a necessity.

  5. Has anyone heard if the 2020 Urus is going to have the GPF filter ? Its required in Europe I believe for 2020 models but not in the US. Hoping that they won't have it for my 2020 thats arriving in the fall. It muffles the exhaust and also reduces engine power.
