  1. I’ve driven both and would take a Bentayga over Urus for every day (not the diesel though, feels it missing something although good for a diesel) much nicer place to sit and a more relaxed drive style with a lot of grunt if you need.

Which you prefer will be personal, I wouldn’t want a Urus as a daily car, feels cheap inside, lower driving position and worse visibility but it handles better but that’s not really that much of a consideration for me unless you use it as a sports car.

More interestingly  they will be in a depreciation race, pretty much nothing will lose money quicker than a new one of these, so go in with eyes open.

Land Rover is worse in every way except standard tech on a good model and price, they are a great compromise for the money by comparison. Probably no better daily car really for the amount they are. I started to get annoyed with the amount of money I was burning on expensive daily cars such as Bentleys as I’d just don’t get the joy out of them I do from sportscrars, they are lovely and if you are on an unlimited budget great but otherwise I would get something a bit cheaper and save the really good stuff as sports cars that will, make you feel, and drive special, but that’s me. Think I might be getting old an sensible though!

  2. I doubt you will see many cars there randomly unless there is an event on, there is a lot less supercars in Dubai than say London

You could go to Ferrari world and buy some socks and gloves!

When are you out there?  I'm heading there soon for Christmas, of which they make an excellent effort, very christmassy. Could do drinks if you are around, I'm staying at Burj Al Arab

  3. Not enough swearing boys, the old LP would definitely have had handbags at dawn.

Well measured response VCR, have to say i don’t get most of what Novolari posts generally, apart from th odd interesting fact, I find the style generally confrontational even when he seems to be trying to be nice, maybe that’s just the internet for you.

Why did fortis leave? I missed that.

  4.  Have a deposit down, not heard a thing though, I would be very surprised if it is released this soon after performante spyder.

I usually get cars about 3 months after the1st customers arrive and have to spec 3 months in advance of that, not been asked for more money either which you usually are just before cars are released here to confirm your interest

I hope it is a more exciting drive than Huracan

i am still playing with the idea of ordering one trying to make it work from every angle. getting rid of my Bentley speed for a bentayga is cool but replacing it with an urus is the way to go.

If you have one car for everything I can see it but Bentayga is a better everyday car imo if you have other sports cars, but I guess it depends what you want in a car. I prefer relaxed with a lot of grunt for normal use, urus is not as comfy or as nicer place to be. If you want to use it hard then fair enough but most people will just tootle along most days and never use any of its abilities over any reasonably quick suv and sacrificing other areas for that

  6. S is more of an all rounder as easier on the driver to be comfortable with, SV is more Special but harder work, more of a sensory thing, stupidly hard suspension noisy rattely cabin with all the carbon and rough ride and steering by comparison. Guess you would call it raw or more old fashioned, SV makes you feel like you are in something unbelievable from the second you sit in it because its not an easy car, S is the same compared to a normal car just not compared to an SV, in reality the S is a better car the SV is exactly what it was supposed to be a road compromised more hardcore track version, but it is cooler.

  7. Maybe create an additional private version on Instagram (as it’s probably  the biggest most used  channel now) and repost stuff from actual verified  members rather than the general public so they can interact with just owners and members on pics, etc.

I can can see you already have a load of random followers straight away, if it’s just for announcements fine, but if you want interaction I don’t want to read 1000 comments from kids saying wow before comments from actual members.

The interior is killer, car looks great in person.  Driving it, it is fast but "casually"

Basically a Cayenne on steroids is what I think of it.

I actually agree with some of that, wanted to love it but it’s just a 4x4 that defies physics rather than a sports or supercar it claims to be. Non dramatic speed in any mode and not interesting

Not really different to a fast cayenne

I think the interior is really cheap looking also for a very expensive car

If if they put arch extensions on it at least it would look the part, but it’s just too Audi looking, take the badge off it and you would never guess it’s a Lamborghini.

  9. Spoiler looks rubbish and high exhaust looks wrong without a wing , unbalances the look towards the centre other than that  bumpers look mean. maybe the camo off will change the proportions though

I ordered one a while back but will only take it if it drives more like performante than Huracan which I didn’t like as felt too easy and not special enough when inside

I’m talking coupes, my dealer got less coupes than they got SV coupes, at least if the number they gave me is accurate. They have guaranteed me a roadster so if I don’t get one I will be switching dealers for future lambo purchases.

They are slowing delivery here as well less to be delivered first year than SV was and extending production time as the replacement is apparently delayed, same numbers though, apparently.

I caved in,  car should be with me in March, just speccing it now. probably be stuck with my SV as well as not a lot is moving

Honestly, if I had a SV, I wouldn't trade it in for the SVJ.  The price difference when you trade the SV in is too much and the difference ain't worth that.  Fortunately, I don't have a SV, so I'm looking forward to my SVJ :aiwebs_011:

That’s it, if I didn’t already have one already i would be all over it regardless , I just like Lamborghini despite the faults.

  12. A lot of people I know are bailing, several reasons :

Scared of recession and won’t be able to make money on it or even cut even if you use it

SVJ is way more money than SV was for a not dissimilar and more limited car

They are making loads of them (as above)

Design is a bit bodykit looking and not as cohesive as SV,  a stupid non fixed rear deck lid for any visibility or if you have to put oil in as you have to entirely remove it which you do every 1000 miles if you use it properly. It’s like a designer that does not do outrageous designs was told to do one and that’s his interpretation rather than a guy that does it naturally or at least that is my opinion

Getting bummed on SV trade in, you could almost buy a performante for the difference if you have put a decent amount of miles on it

Would love one one if money was no object but realistically I’m not a billionaire and I’m just not sure it’s worth it to me to upgrade with a new model coming in a couple of years that I will want,  as I’ll get raped twice then . Dealers are becoming a right arse to deal with in the way Ferrari are, with a attitude that they are doing me some big favour to sell me a half million pound car, I’m not going to blow any salesman for them to sell me something. I’ve bought every modern model Lamborghini and they treat me bad in favour of people who basically bribe them.  Also for what I use it for I’m paying for 4 wheel steer, which is brilliant to make it more fun handling and feel smaller as the rest really isnt that noticeable except on a track or very fast road which I rarely see. Obviously I’m now trying to talk myself out of it! Newer is nearly always better!
