  1. finally privately previewed the car in Silver Grey. Not my fav colour. Interior superb and solid and it sounds gorgeous. Have decided against all options especially glass bonnet. With a black engine and a forged CF bay that looks like 3 year old kids' plastic, I will pass on that. It doesn't even look special to me as it is just one big black chunk. Otherwise, car is good. Launch trailer in Orange so I will get it in Orange most likely, if not, yellow.
  2. I did expected more... but that' just me. The press will test Huracan head to head and it is an inevitable fact. While many say it doesn't matter as we won't drive that fast, the facts will unfold itself and they will all see if all the technology and jargons will walk the walk and talk the talk. It does matter to the brand and marketing. Like Aston, many can say the recent PEDALs issue doesn't matter and the speed doesn't matter, it's all about the look but at the end of the day, it is quite personal though. Guess not many care is the truth. Drive the Badge and look.
  3. 458 Speciale 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 3,0 sec 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) 9,1 sec MP4 0 - 100 kph, 3.0 s. 0 - 180 kph, 7.4 s. 0 - 200 kph, 8.8 s Huracan 0-100 3.2 0-200 9.9 Quoting http://fastestlaps.com/articles/lamborghin...e_on_paper.html It is not very impressive for a modern supercar given that it's 2014/15 brand new... I still don't get MP4's figure... it is just a UFO... Lamborghini press release states 3.2 second 0-100 and 9.9 0-200 kph times. The former is rather less impressive, but the latter actually does reflect the great power to weight ratio that this car possesses. For comparison, latest generation Nissan GT-R does 200 in 10.6. What I expected most from the new "compact Lambo" was world beating track performance. Huracan has the same recipe of a Nissan GT-R, plus a much bigger budget for the actual ingredients. So I can't help but wonder, why would it not be decisively faster than the GT-R in every possible track test? First test drives are scheduled for January and in a coupe of months we will find out if the Huracan is indeed a new benchmark in street car track performance, or it is just another "luxury sports car" with no real excuse for being slower than a Nissan GT-R.
  4. Beantown, that's where I grew up! amazing! The days when Newbury and BU had all the hot cars... still the scene? and outside Sonsie?
  5. anyone has a picture of glass bonnet w forged carbon versus std? The std looks mean and the business. Is it plastic? Like back to back comparison?
  6. Yes I am also thinking of moving my Huracan order to an Aventador. However, the Aventador's tech is a lot less advanced compared to the Huracan. We all know the Huracan is a much more driver friendly, track oriented weapon and a lot better in handling but the Aventador is such a brute that it is pretty much a piece of art... Really crazy... Imagine if they put the LDF on the Aventador... that would be totally a buy but that would have to come in the next iteration... the 800 bhp 900 bhp LDP SV Aventador gen 2... :-) I am a buyer but it will cost me a million USD.
  7. glad u have no vices. Me neither. Re: Aventador, nothing beats the grand daddy of V12 flagship. The Huracan is good but it will not kill the A. It doesn't have nearly the Panache of the Grand Daddy. It will murder the 458 on the ring and MP4 on looks. Wait to see how it rings up on numbers. I am set on YELLOW. Not a fan of Lime Green.
  8. Fortis, here's one for you. Really? http://www.motoring.com.au/news/lamborghin...rice-drop-41372
  9. 8 hours of sleep improves immune system. Don't let it run down before it's too late. Eat a balanced, adequate, moderate and varied diet with minimal junk and processed foods. Nothing beats a well maintained body (like a well maintained car) by using NO POTION NO SECRET methodology of eating well, resting well, lots of water and moderate exercise. You put in the best fuel in your Lambo, you don't have to trade it in so soon. So call me a grand daddy but your body, your choice, wanna trade it in early? Be my guest :-)
  10. split on arancio borealis, giallo midas and rosso mars... to save bucks, go rosso mars :-)
  11. To Rosso Mars and Fortis. http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/01/31/lamborg...k-adv-1-wheels/ amazing.
  12. Actually, Fortis, NOT OK. Sleep before 11 pm and get 7 - 8 hrs preferably 8. Don't run down the immune system. I wouldn't. Life is about balanced. Not just cars... I work out and have many other things in life.
  13. agree... chk this out meanwhile. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/lamborghini...ent-531137.html New teams have until January 3 to register their interest, but Stephan Winkelmann, president of Lamborghini, officially ruled the Italian sports carmaker out of the running. “There are no plans to go into Formula 1 business. For us, it is more seen as an activity linking us more to our customer... We do gentlemen’s drivers clubs around the world and they are pretty successful and that is the way to go. The cars you see on the road are much the same as the ones we put on the racetrack,” he said in an interview with Arabian Business in Dubai. So Ferrari put cars on road that are much different than the ones it puts on track? you bet!
  14. Arancio Borealis is SEXY and sex on wheels colour. Now I am split between Giallo Midas and Arancio Borealis. My challenge, I know I like the Arancio Borealis but I don't know for how long and I really think it is exotic but the colour reminded me a bit of the McLaren metallic orange. I also find that the Orange is more a launch colour for Aventador... so I am split. Comments?
  15. Did you order one? Despite having a ISR, nothing beats the grand daddy of V12.
  16. Agree DoctaM3 but you do have a very nice Aventador. Nice seeing you hear and have only been watching your videos and seeing your car porn pix. It looks toned down and low profile w much elegance in that colour in the video but I'd prefer it to be in Giallo Midas or triple layer Arancio Borealis. The glass bonnet seems to be std on show cars but wondering what it looks like without it (save costs). The LP720 and the Sesto as well as VENENO went without the glass so maybe it works. I suspect on show they will only show the one with high options? I do want the glass though as I think without which when it comes time to sell it will be very difficult... ?
  17. even if they can, I wonder if I want to, for such an important piece of equipment. Painting calipers or CF bumpers ok but... glass bonnet... unsure... plus they said to the the wiring of the new bonnet (LED lited), no retrofit. perhaps I am wrong.
  18. engine bonnet per dealer, NO RETROFIT... perhaps they are pulling me. Plus I don't trust the dealer doing a proper job if they can. They said they can paint my calipers. They aren't ripping me they told me not to get many things. They did say do get the Magneto suspension, LDS and lifting and sensor... all else I can skip. Colours, depends if I like Rosso Mars or Safe Colour Bianco... they told m not to get silver, grey or black as they can't sell later (plus I don't like them in grey.) He even told me to skip the alcantara as that was expensive although I would like it. They are pretty cost saving on my side. They highly recommended the engine bonnet and the forged carbon.
  19. tks, agree. the engine bonnet cannot be retrofitted neither can unicolour sportivo or stitchings. The only things you can retrofit would be calipers (not parking sensors or cameras or LDS or Suspension.) Beside the rims, I can't really see much you can retrofit without much hassle. So while it is helpful, it is probably challenging to try to save the bucks. So the idea is, just get them now or never. Depreciation is a bummer indeed and if that's the case, my plan is get it in Bianco Icarus (safe) / Rosso Mars (launch car colour) and just get lifting and sensor. Forget about everything else. Then I am pretty much looking at a small bill. Then I am struggling a little. Car is an emotional purchase and the last thing I want is to spec a car (while money doesn't grow on trees) trying to save a few bucks only to find that I live with a car for 18 months that is not in a colour I want. Worst, sitting in a cockpit that is bland because I saved bucks on the branding (which cannot be retrofitted). The only thing you can retrofit will be the rims and carbon parts which are NOT available anyway and CF parts to be a real bummer when it comes to costs and it is highly decorative to someone like me. If I wanna save weight, I might as well lose a few pounds :-). So answer is either go basic or just go deeper. The biggest cost to me here will be the glass bonnet which will cost 18-20K with TAX. So that's a big hit. I am slightly inclined to go with Giano RIMS and Louvre. That will save bucks and big bucks and get the interior a little better with LDS and Suspension.
  20. sorry, ccbs are all standard everywhere. Lift system parking sensor, LDS, Magneto, electric seats are all options. If you get the car as is, get metallic colour lift and parking sensors/or camera and car is good as is. No glass bonnet (maybe an issue when it becomes to resale as I hard it is a feature to showoff the forged carbon), no option. Plain vanilla, car is good as is but I have always heard the LDS and Magneto are must have as they are superb. I think the LDS is a love or hate as it may take away steering feel. The car seems very high tech despite no numbers and no test yet. It will do well with a tiny bump in HP to keep on par with the competitors despite it is not applicable to most but just to keep the product up to date as the newest supercar super weapon. 640 is a minimum but the nomenclature prevents that from happening since it is already LP610-4 and not LP640-4. It can use the MP4 upgrades. MP4 upgrades the hp every year. 458 stays the same.
  21. Rumour can't be true. If they bump it by 40 making it 650, it leaves little space for the SL and puts it to close to big brother. But at 610 it is a laggard now.
  22. Rosso Mars is std here, Giallo Midas is what I want, Verde Mantis too brave for my profession. I am split. Rosso Mars is good and proper lambo colour but the problem is over here, anything Red (or pretty much most of the World), it's a Ferrari. If it's a McLaren, it's a Lotus. Funny, the other day, parked 3 cars, 1 Lambo in Yellow, 1 Ferrari, 1 McLaren in Orange. People correctly identified the Lambo and Ferrari and people couldn't name the MP4 and a kid went up with his folks and the folks said, "O I KNOW, it's a NIKE..." 100% real account.
  23. Std = metallic colours, unicolour seats, bluetooth, navi, tpms, multifunction wheels, tone to tone stitching, decorative stitching. Nothing else, no bonnet, no LDS, no Magneto suspension... cost me a fortune and really split on what to order. Looks like the glass is a must so I heard. They have LED lit engine with forged carbon cover so I heard.
  24. trying to spec mine. I am a bit torn here. Options are expensive. I want to either go low with minimal option just colours and lifting and sensors (cameras?). Otherwise, I want to go out and do it up. Unicolour Sportivo Alcantara, stitchings, branding, my real question is should I get the Magneto suspension and LDS? Furthermore, my dealer highly recommended the glass bonnet said it would be gorgeous to see the forged carbon cover! Any comment on that versus standard... the glass bonnet is very expensive.
  25. I agree with you. You are right. It is nonetheless a big upgrade from a LP560 on tech but this is much overdue as well. The car needs all these tech to keep the brand on the forefront, without which, it will become like Aston... rehash rehash and more rehash with a slush box.
