I don't know about you guys, but these body-kit cars from Lamborghini is just getting annoying.  Come on Lamborghini, give us cars with real engineering improvements and solutions like the Performante and the SVJ.  Stop with these Reventon, Centennario, STX bullshit!

Doesn't seem to be a ahortage of buyers , as long as that is the case , it will go on .

  2. I doubt there are readily available spacers for such a limited production car , find a reputable race team in your area and get them to make you a set , should be a no brainer and will be done correctly by anyone who knows what they are doing .

  3. To those that say 1000 SVJ's WORLDWIDE is not exclusive enough...get a life! Maybe 500 will make their way to the US market. I can pretty much guarantee that I will have the only one in the entire state of Utah. Thats exclusive enough for me.

Ferrari V12's? LMAO...the 'Superfast' is ugly as F@@k.

It is and it isn’t . By the end of the production cycle , my guess is that there will be 10000 aventador’s out there , call it whatever , 50th , S, SV , SVJ , still basically the same car with different front spoilers or stickers . To the average joe , same shit , one would be hard pressed to tell the difference between all of them . Are they good looking cars ? Definitely and best bang for the buck in the supercar segment but hardly exclusive , the same body shape goes on for way too long and that has been Lambo’s issue since the Gallardo . But they need to be profitable and I suppose this is the only way to do it . The Urus might be the game changer for the company , it should fill up the coffers very nicely and might allow for new cars with a shorter life cycle

  4. I agree. some are more accessible to the average driver than the others, personally I am not interested in any numbers that's for the "too fast too furious" crowd LOL, the older I get the less I am interested in going fast, I am now mostly interested in luxurious 5 star resorts and Kobe Wagyu beef LOL

There is better way to take the fun factor out of a car that to do radical mods, especially in the hp department , when a chassis developed by the factory with extensive hours of testing gets expected to handle twice or more than the original figure from the factory . Works in a straight line most of the time and ruins everything else by making the car undrivable except in a straight line

  5. IMO none of it matters, to me anyway, what matters is what stirs your soul, also side by side line racing on the street makes me laugh, let's buy cars which the manufacturers tune for race tracks which have corners and run them in straight line side by side LOL

I am not saying it's not fun but if that's what you like doing there are plenty options out there more suited to it which cost less than a set of wheels people put on these exotics, if you still want to race your exotic in straight line of course you can do that but I wouldn't be too upset if I lost because that's not what they are designed to do, most manufacturers take different approaches in order to reach the goals their cars are being designed for, they aren't always focusing on the same metric.

All the modern sports cars handle well enough to have fun with on the street , the track numbers achieved by magazines are jut nit picking , whatever works for the prospective or actual owner of the car

  6. Depends on how much the ZR1 owner cares about straight line racing and ego.

If the ZR1 is faster around VIR than a new Ford GT, then it probably is faster around it than the 720S as well.

What I found shocking was that it didn't put up a fight in the roll on race, where the Mac's mid engine configuration and launch control advantages were minimized.

More evidence the McLaren is underrated in hp/torque.

ZR1 still available in a manual. Might be more fun to drive.

And how many people go to VIR to test their cars ? All I hear is how bad the handling of the 720s is , total nonsense . In the real world , almost nobody can tell difference between any supercar or is good enough to make use of super handling , the bragging rights almost always end up being who is fastest in straight line and the 720s is a monster

  7. It would be amazing to see a "Singer" Miura, basically a reimagined Miura. NOT that miura concept of several years ago.

The Miura is too valuable to retro mod ,911 ‘s are dime a dozen . It won’t be MB like fortis is alluding to . The donor vehicle , whatever the make , has to be relatively cheap to begin with and somewhat desirable , past or present

  8. I had a long conversation last weekend with a friend of mine who is major figure in sports car racing about the Singer Porsche , I will not name my friend as he is about to start a similar program with another make . I was puzzled by the price of the Singer , it seems it starts at around a million and can go as high as 2 million with the Williams motor , he says they are making 1 to 2 cars a month and there is a 2 year backlog . In other words , lots of fcuk you money out there , the cars are magnificent and the finish is second to none , but , when all is said , it still is a 911 and no 911 in my eyes is worth 1 million , never mind 2 million

  9. Was it your 570 that had problems? I have owned mine since new (Sept/Oct purchase on 2017 570S coupe) and have 2,400 miles on it now. It has never had an issue and never been in the shop and has an ECU tune and exhaust running 570 whp. I have six other close friends that own 570's and zero issues as well. We did a 2 day track day thru McLaren Scottsdale at Inde Motorsports Ranch and most of us even drove to/from track and beat on our cars for two days and not one McLaren there had an issue (about 10 cars).

I think I am number six or seven at McLaren Scottsdale for the new 600LT.

I have owned five Lamborghinis and I can honestly say I would take my car over any Lambo right now on the market. I have driven the Huracan and Aventador and off the line it just does not compare. The gearing/shifting is so much faster and smoother in my car. The handling is incredible - it truly feels like a shifter kart if going from any Lambo to the 570s. It took me months to decide and was not easy for me to leave Lambo but I honestly love the McLaren brand now.

It is unfortunate you had issues with yours and maybe it was an early 2016 but I do not know anyone that has had any issues with theirs personally here in AZ that I have became friends with from the dealer and doing drives together, etc. I have had two friends in the last three months buy news ones alone after driving my car and one is doing the same tune as my car to get the sound he wanted since stock they do not sound as good as a Huracan stock. With the exhaust they sound amazing with the turbo even at idle. The Huracan, Aventador and McLaren brand are completely different cars in my eyes once you drive them. The 720 is just in a completely different league - that car makes your internals move it is that quick...I have never had a car do that to me...

It was not mine , one of my good friends . He ownerd the car for 3 months and it spent most of the time in the shop . Lot of electrical issues and something about the coolant system that they could not figure out , at least fast enough to make him happy . He was so disappointed he gave them the car back .
