  1. Ask them to send you a picture of the chipped windshield. If it wasn't that big of a deal why didn't they tell you up front that the windshield was chipped, they had a new one on order, and it was a non-issue.

My only fear would be that they broke something big and are buying time to bandaid it. Probably far fetched, but we've seen worse here in the past.

+1 At this point if it is just a nick I would have them take the replacement cost off the price and let you deal with it locally as you see fit. I have had three windshields put in three different cars in the past few years and two had to go back due to air leaks and one had no leaks but it had adhesive crap I could see down in where it meets the dash that would not be there from the factory. I think I have been particularly unlucky but either way I would want the install local so if there is any issue it can be taken care of.

  2. That's funny as are the rest.

Some good names to select from - need to decide by Monday for signage.

Before ordering signage you need to check whatever name you decide on for trademarks. You def don't want to spend a bunch on logo stuff and signage and then find out someone already owns the name. Good luck with the store.

  3. I don't know much about salvage cars except a huge "buyer beware" and do the research first but I know some cars do get branded salvage for many different reasons. This car could be a pos but if someone did their homework and did not mind the salvage title and it did only need minor work I think for the price you could have some fun for a relatively low cost and not lose a fortune when done. Knowing the guys here some may know the car and the true situation.

  4. Would have put in the Mac section but I don't think it gets much action but feel free to move if needed. No affiliation but on the surface this looks like it could be a sweet deal for a driver with relatively little repair work. What is the consensus? Salvage title, no airbags deployed, looks like 2 wheels/tires are all that are needed to be road worthy. Of coarse underneath would need checked out but if it did check out seems to me it could be a lot of car for relatively little money compared to a no story car.

  5. And while I'm still a bit undecided on Trump myself, I do know that if he wins the left will feel what most of us have felt the last 8 years.....

Except Trumps ego is so Yoooge that there is no chance he will let anyone walk all over us let alone ruin everything he touches like our current potus so even though they will hate him, things should get much better. Just hope we have not passed the tipping point as I didn't think after the first term there was any chance he would get a second and look how that turned out.

  6. This car looks great and I am sure the top will be down most of the time but from someone that has had numerous soft top and a few hard top converts the advantages of a hard top are many. The biggest plus is that a hardtop won't start looking bad after a while like a soft top can. You will start to get creases and thread pulls that will happen after a while. You are also subject to sun fade and little bullshit things like washing your car is not as easy. Def not a deal breaker and may not make any difference to many but if given the choice between the two I would think most feel like a hardtop is the better way to go.

  7. The show was good but for someone worth billions and billions it seemed like there was only an inner circle of like 15 guys living in the middle of nowhere. Obviously there had to be a huge infrastructure that dealt with the cash and the product etc. Would be cool to see a bit about that in season 2. When they were arguing over 200k here or there or burying 3 mil it didn't really make sense because he was making that in 10 min. Must admit though the show had me rooting for Pablo even though he was a scumbag.

  8. If it wasn't for the money generated by safari hunters, the locals would have exterminated the remaining big game animals generations ago.

I don't know but I would think the revenue from people that go on normal watching safaris far exceeds revenue from jack ass big game hunters so I don't agree that these animals would be killed off. I would also think many are in the middle of no where and don't bother anyone but a farmer killing an animal that is fcuking with his flock is much easier to accept than some dumb ass trying to mount a head on his wall.

  9. As shitty as that is, I just have to bring up that big ticket game hunting permits are what fund conservational wild life parks and where most of the funding to protect the animals and endangered species come from.

I personally would never kill a beautiful animal like that, but it's a necessary evil. No money from wealthy american hunters=no funding= poachers have free run at everything.

I know that is the justification they use everytime this comes up but in reality the areas where much of this stuff happens are so corrupt I wouldn't be surprised if barely anything goes to conservation. This guy is a POS. He should go stalk the animals with a damn camera and get some close up head shots for his wall the piece of shit. Would love to see an article where the hunt goes wrong and the hunter gets his arms ripped off by one of these animals.

  10. Looked at a number of boats in the past few days and now have a few more things that I was not really thinking about to consider. It seems that in the marina I would be using most people with the large center consoles do not keep them in slips when not used, they actually take them out and keep them on racks and with an hour notice they will put it in and have it ready. One thing I did not really think about was that the marina is very nice and has pools/restaurants/bar and it seems like having a boat in an actual slip you could hang out on it and use these things when you want which would probably be fun from time to time and have a "base" to hang out on. Also, it seems the center console guys I spoke to were all about the speed to get there and back, kind of like lambo guys vs rolls/bentley debate. I like both and I can see benefits of each. Am going to do a few more charters and go out with my buddy on his yellowfin and pay closer attention to the boat aspect and gain some more knowledge. I am envious of you florida guys that live on canals and can have these boats right in your backyard with many great locations to go to.

  11. So I looked up the Hydrosport and the deep impact, those are both great looking boats! When you mention out dated, is that hull design? Assuming electronics and engines can vary and be changed but the hull remains the same so what do you look for in a hull? I notice that many of the newer sleeker boats are much lower in the very back and come down on an angle as opposed to many that just have a squared off rear. I will definitely reach out when I start looking at a few. Thx

  12. Thanks guys, am going to go looking to start to narrow down what I think would like. Boat show is probably a great idea, will have to see when the next big ones around here are. I guess until you have your first fishing boat and start using it regularly it is kind of difficult to know what you would want/don't want. At first I was just looking at open center console types but I do really like the wider hatteras types which would give you an actual inside. To got his route though it would be a much older boat than the other. Abolfaz, what are your thoughts on something like this to get started with? Thx

  13. Does anyone here have an off shore fishing boat or have a decent knowledge about them? Here in md you need to be able to go out at least 20 miles and from the few boats I have been out there on I would say the minimum size for me to feel comfortable on seems to be in the 30-35 ft range and I was wondering what the guys here would recommend to look at used in this size with say a 75k-100k price range. I realize there are center console "yellowfin" types of boats with the outboards As well as the wider cabin cruiser types with an open rear and inboards. I like both types but have not spent enough time on either to know much about the benefits of either besides the obvious. Anyone here have thoughts/ input besides the "boats are money pits and should be rented" argument? I agree with that however my son is getting older and loves to fish and I love hanging out with him and we have great times on the water so I am ok with the pain of owning another boat. (Have a back bay runabout now but it is not something to take out in the ocean.) thx
