  1. Went to take my top down and the top malfunctioned, would not close properly(and scratched my body in some areas). It would not fully close whether up or down (after I put it back up). It seems to have secured but my engine hatch is not fully closed. Any ideas or thoughts as to what may have happened? I know I will need to bring it into the shop ASAP(and drive it lightly). Thanks for any input(I assume some others have had this same issue.
  2. Thanks everybody for the input, checking out both shops. Appreciate the input.
  3. I would prefer a private shop if there is a reputable one that is close by but if I have to use the dealer I will.... thanks-let me know.
  4. New owner of a 2008 Gallardo Spyder and just wanted to see if any recommendations on where to have the vehicle serviced(I am in Thousand Oaks/Simi Valley CA area). I had heard that possibly Audi would service the vehicle, is this true? Looking for a local shop if possible.. Thanks for any info/input.
  5. thanks for the info. yes I got a snap report that apparently shows the clutch percentage left at 90%(which seems very high considering vehicle has 14k miles). It was one owner and I can only hope or assume that he drove it very lightly because I would have thought with 14K miles it would have been closer to 50%?
  6. Just picked up my first lambo yesterday(2008 Gallardo Spyder) and was interested to get any input on what will wear my clutch harder. Whether I drive using the E-Gear(hand controls) or put the car in Automatic-does this make any difference as to the wear and tear on my clutch? Is one better than the other to minimize my clutch usage/damage. Thanks for any input or info on this.
  7. Thanks for the input. The clutches were updated though in 2010 or newer models correct?
  8. I am looking to pick up a 2008 Gallardo Spyder and have heard the stock clutches had some issues and generally only lasted about 10k miles or so. Most I have seen have new clutches , from my understanding any replacement clutches are the same clutches that are in the 2010 or newer Gallardos. Is this correct? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the info, trying to stay in the 160-170K range though so I would assume his Performante is going to be higher priced than this. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for the reply, Yes I am in contact with Cats(I was actually referred to them by a member of this site). I am located in LA area. not too concerned with color(interior). Would prefer gray or metallic blue with black trim/Callisto rims(black). Mileage under 20K. I found a 2011 in Yellow for sale from O'Gara Coach for $159K but did not get to the dealership in time to grab it....
  11. looking for a 2010-2011 Gallardo Spyder, prefer Gray or Metallic Blue. Prefer private party sale but will look at other options. I am new to this forum so if more info needed please advise . Thanks
  12. Hi, just wondering if anyone knows of anyone selling a 2010-2011 Gallardo Spyder. Prefer Gray or Metallic Blue but will look at other colors. I am in the Los Angeles area(Thousand Oaks) but will look at vehicles out of state. Thank you.
