  1. On the pre OBDII Diablo's, the WSM references the "Lamborghini Test Box", which plugs into the LIE harness (see pic)

That price on that box is $4,000 but it doesn't matter as its NLA.

The WSM lists a series of diagnostic tests using that test box, measuring ohms and volts, which I need to do. I the absence of the test box, I am going to test right from the LIE harness pins (or at least try to).

First question, does anyone have this box, and if so can you post a picture? Does to go inline allowing the harness to be connected with the LIE (ie, running at the same time as using the test box)?

Second question, has any one mapped the 39 pins their terminal locations? I haven't looked at the connector yet, hoping they are marking in some fashion. If not, I am going to, or at least attempt to map them out.

    Thank you fellas.

I'm curious as to why you say 39 pins, as my wiring diagram only shows 35 pins on that ECU connector.

  2. Some union told him "no chute, no jump". So, he will be wearing a chute.

....and now at the last minute, they've come back and removed the requirement for him to wear the chute. Good luck man!

  3. Yeah, AGM or Absorbed Glass Mat batteries are supposed to be leak free I thought. Are you have power issues or just happened to see that?

Agree with Chipster that since it's an AGM battery and not a flooded cell, lead acid battery, what I see in the picture you provided is not a leak. I suspect that yellow stuff on and around the terminals is some type of anti-corrosion "pookey" (technical term). :-)

  4. Lamborghini has relaunched their restoration center and owners will have access to all historical documents, their collection of spares, and can utilize the facility for full on restorations. The new program will supply replacements for any part that was ever utilized. If they don't have it in stock they will have it made from the original blueprints and certify it. They won't be cheap, but at least the possibility exists now.

It's been almost a year now since this capability was announced, so I'm curious if anyone has any firsthand experience utilizing the Polo Storico department/restoration center. Who are the factory contacts for further information, access to all the content, etc.?

  5. So noticed today with the car on, my passenger side radiator fan moves really slowly. Slow enough to watch it go around. With the engine off and the ignition on it doesn't move at all.

    What's up with that?

Sounds like the fan bearing is seizing up. With everything turned off, are you able to reach the fan and try to spin it by hand to see if it turns freely?
