  1. Sounds romantic We will be back at it in November with better DA's. Come on down.
  2. Last weekend we held a 1/4 drag event and had an incredibly diverse showing of cars. Two in particular made it into this video. If you ever come out to one of our events, make sure to say hi to Micah from Advance Diesel and Motorsports (Lambo) and Danny from Lethal Performance (V ette). These guys are super cool. Before everyone starts bench racing, both cars are 6 Speeds and drag racing is way harder than most people think. Can the cars go faster under different circumstances - of course. But on this day the drivers had fun and that's all that matters. Micah picked up retarded mph on the back half and clicked off a 9 later in the night too. Good time: Edit: Sorry about the word censor V ette owners. That's the forum.
  3. That's awesome Trent! Quite a stable you got there. Will firm up the October dates soon so you can plan ahead.
  4. Now you are talkin. DCT Challenge Fall 2016. Let's do it.
  5. Weather is out of anyone's control. We are fortunate enough to be able to reschedule though (did it three times last year). Will make a call next week. If there is a strong probability of rain its a no brainer. If there are viable days the decision gets harder.
  6. Yes but it will be given out at the hotel get together Saturday night. You can consume it, or make the new KOTS wear it.
  7. Spoken like a champ. Our sport is lucky to have contenders like you with an insatiable determination to win. The only way to get a taste of what I am talking about is to be at the event when you see all of the rigs lined up, drivers in the grid, and a pair of big power cars ripping down the runway at 200mph+, its just insane. We had an event for the Dallas locals at the airfield last weekend. Cars were trapping 140-160mph mostly. One of the TI monsters went out to make a test hit and the people watching about shit their pants. Photos and videos just don't do it justice. Looking forward to seeing you fight for the 7th win in a few weeks Kevin.
  8. LOL. The RWHP numbers are a vestige of when we use to do official grudge match pairings. Drivers could figure out who they wanted to run by matching power. So, everyone would sandbag. It also use to be the metric for seeding the elimination roster. That's prob why you see the sandbagging with the old school guys.
  9. Ole Blue is in Florida now. Hope they bring it back in the future. D3 has the next evolution of the car in the works for Rohan. It's a dirty Gen 2. Nth will be back with Ali's gen 2 on a tire and Felipe's gen 2 on a tire. This guy gets it. Attending drivers are rare breeds. Win or lose, they come to fight. RWD Challenge and 175 Trap Attack are competitive for the 1200hp cars. They still run KOTS though. None of them want to miss a chance to run the Monsters in broad daylight with cameras rolling.
  10. No participation trophies. Side by side elimination. This is "the" fight. The Texas Invitational is roughly 23 days away. The rivalry between the GTR and Lamborghini communities is epic at TI and we hope LP members can join us (sign up in the other thread). These are the guys pushing the envelope with their platforms and putting it all on the line. Jokes and drama aside, they all deserve kudos for cranking up their monsters for the event. If you don't know why we call them "monsters," come down to the starting light at the event and you will leave with the same impression. Here is a distilled driver roster of the GTR and Lambo camps rostered to line up for war. Who is your money on? Got a similar thread on GTRH as well. 11. Playing field is getting more and more level. Streetcar with Racecar results. Kevin: Get well soon.
  12. Just a heads up if you want to get on board. Here is the group so far: Bmk Kaiatelitems +2 M0cha TarHeelBlue
  13. You are driving, not watching. Tech in and get your revenge on Stacy
  14. New teaser video from 1320. Really gets the adrenaline pumping!
  15. The Proving Grounds are open for business April 29th weekend at the Texas Invitational. Everyone is welcome to register to drive and we will have 3 classes: 175 Trap Attack, King of the Street, and the Viper dominated Rear Wheel Drive Challenge. TI is side by side straight line elimination racing on an airfield near Dallas, Texas. Take a look at the videos below for a better idea of the event and register to drive here: TI Registration and Tech Form - Texas Speed Syndicate
  16. Consider it done. You can start from the runway burnout box for a 2000+ foot pull, start from a dig at the light, and/or do a regular TI roll. Smart money is on the Turbo S.
  17. Great. Feel free to bring your wives and GF (especially if they are hot). This will be a good chance for LP members to put a face to a name.
  18. We are gearing up for the spring 2016 Texas Invitational and will be going live with driver registration at the end of the week. Awhile back some of you asked if we can get the LP board members into the event. Well, we can make that happen. If you are not coming in as a driver or a driver's guest and would like to, PM me your name and email address and we can get you squared away. The event is scheduled to start April 29th. If you are flying in the closest commercial airport is Dallas Love Field. If you have a private charter flight, you can land on one of the TI runways. Hell you can even jump out of a plane and parachute in if you want, your call Would love to have enthusiasts join us. UR and FC Corp thank you for your continued support sponsoring the event. Take care. Videos from past events:
  19. Most of the GTR's are setup and teched for the 1/4. Good idea and keeps em' straight if things go awry.
  20. Media is still coming out from Project X. This is Nick's UR 2R. Went undefeated at the event. 1/2 Mile event in the spring of 2016 is coming together nicely. Hope you can join us.
  21. Speaking of traction, check out this video just released of the "Unicorn POS" at TI:
  22. Good question. TI has a dedicated burnout box and the concrete flat hooks. Drivers can put some real heat in the tires and the concrete has an abrasive texture to it. Do all cars magically hook there? No. The big power guys are all dialing in boost and traction control with laser precision correcting for any wheel spin. That's the benefit of having your builder there. They can custom tune for the surface. Aransas is asphalt. There are no expansion joints and its new. Surface is flat with no disruption. Will all cars magically hook? No. Like Caddo, everyone will have tune for it. We have tested some fast cars at Aransas. JC in the AC Motorsports FGT @ 1100+ and Jarrett in his 1R and T1 GTR @ 1,300+ reported no problems hooking. Lupe did use some traction control in his Supra @ 1,350 and reports that the surface is "very smooth". Most of the testing so far has been done on the shorter runway. We are going to try and get some of the bigger power monsters on the mile long runway to collect some data soon I hope. At at the end of the day, you can compare this stuff to golf. All courses are different. You adjust for the game. TI is still in Caddo. Aransas is a different concept and we should be announcing what we will do there and when soon. Hope you can join us.
