  1. Don’t forget he’s also a high-end IEM/earbuds connoisseur who knows a lot about soundstage too! :turboalex:

Btw, derphurf, among other things, you know nothing about “bosozuko” either. That term applies more to modded bikes and biker gangs than the Japanese car subculture which you also have no idea on what’s actually involved. Nice try but not even remotely close! :lol2:

Yeah, actually I do, and trying to get soundstage from a IEM is like trying to get blood from a stone. Get a speaker setup if you want soundstage. All my favorite headphones aren't known for big soundstage.

Bosozoku was started by motorcycle gangs but the style also carried to cars, of which they were influenced by group 5 race cars.

As far as the diffusers go, wanna tell me why Ford and Aston have same looking diffusers on their top line GTE racecars?

  2. You realize that Bosozuko cars are a extreme mimicry of real Group 5 racecars? Splitters work. Big ass splitters work better.

That combine harvester has a nice front diffuser. How fast can it go?

    Here's a few racecar diffusers

It's a racecar, it's got racecar aero. Air doesn't care about what you think is pretty, unfortunately

  3. Probably being way too esoteric here but for causal tunes, IEM's do the job but they aren't really too hi-fi per se. The frequency response might be right and some tonal qualities do make the grade. But as far as soundstage and imaging go, they flop completely. And some of these are getting ludicrously $$$ for what they really are. Take one apart and you will probably have an idea. Yes, one might be able to say the same about phono cartridges (some are in 5-figure USD now) but those are a lot more difficult to make as compared to IEM's. There are a lot of limitations on IEM's due to their size and the power required. They have a long way to go yet especially for the wireless ones.

I prefer lots of my IEMs to my full size headphones. Personally I feel soundstage is overrated. There's a minimum acceptable level for me and then the rest is tuning, separation, impact, decay, isolation, etc.

Have you listened to Campfire Audio Andromeda or 64Audio U16?

  4. I said it is in same bracket, I meant that for performance. For everything else, looks and "emotion" from high revving NA engine it will eat it alive.

But it could be also faster as if that was important even.... a lot more massive aero package and lets not forget the founder. "Roland Gumpert, the founder of Apollo, once held the position of director of Audi Sport. Under his management, Audi won a total of 25 World Rally Championship races and four World Rally Championship titles." And Gumpert Apollo was already amazingly fast compared to any competition it had on it's day.

What does that even mean? When one says eat it alive, it suggests in performance, not in subjective matters. Not sure if you've noticed McLaren's pedigree, but it's a lot more than Audi's/Gumpert's.

When you say a lot more massive aero package, do you realize that it makes about 100 kg more downforce (but not active) with significantly more drag? And that it doesn't have fully active suspension like the Senna (hydraulically adjusted roll, heave, spring rate, ride height, etc)? Or a DCT? Or 580 ft lb of torque from 3500 rpm to 7000? And likely 100 hp less?

And yes, buying a car with that much aero, speed is important.

  5. I would much rather go and buy Apollo IE in this bracket. As it will propably eat senna as a breakfast and look freaking awesome doing it...

What makes you say that? Personally I really like that purple carbon and the Apollo IE chassis, but I think the styling is extremely overdone. Not a fan of those sharp edges on the fenders, the flower petal exhaust, the canard/front bumper design, or the rear wing (seriously, why is it not rectangular). Not as "ugly" as the Senna and sounds absolutely fantastic, but not sure how you're coming to the conclusion that this thing is any faster. I would be beyond surprised if it was, and that's at 3 times the price

  6. Those other lap times HAVEN'T been done already, they exactly state it:

"(The others mentioned above in the 0–60 test haven’t been lapped at this track.)"

This doesn't get any more clearer. Motortrend themselves are stating it right after the lap board. Or do you believe in flat rumors and lies?

Also you talk shit about lap times, yet you don't even notice or mention that Viper ACR was lapped by the very same Randy Probst in that video. It doesn't damn matter if it was manufacturer effort when they had the very same driver that was lapping these cars.

Your ability to deduct from the wording is EXTREMELY lacking. The 918, Performante, and 720S are faster than it. Hell, I can show you the lap video of the 918. The extra statement is to regard cars in the 0-60 mph list such as the NSX, Camaro, GT3, GT3RS, F12, ThethetheFerrari, etc that weren't run at Big Willow and thus aren't on the laptime list. You think they friggin make up a laptime down to the hundredth and put it on their board? Dellusional

ALSO, the ACR was lapped by Randy Probst at Laguna Seca, not Big Willow. The record setter for Willow Springs was C. Winkler... At least get your info right if you want to discuss lap times.

  7. From the Ford GT article:

Among those "others" are Performante, 720S, 488 and etc. That means:

    1. They haven`t tested/lapped the other cars yet, and the times are only estimates.

    2. They have tested only 0-60 for the cars that are mentioned there.

    Have a read here:

    http://www.motortrend.com/cars/ford/gt/201...st-test-review/

Also the overall record at Willow Springs belongs to Viper ACR:

    1:21.24

Those other times have been done already. In fact, before the Ford GT. lap record was a manufacturer effort. Not apples to apples.

  8. Why do you think that?

Because Ether is out to take its blood and soul, aka flippening. Bitcoin has significantly limited utility compared to even other fund transfer coins. It's expensive, it takes fcuking forever, it's one of the primary coin pairs so as altcoins go up, Bitcoin goes down. I'm kinda salty that I have about 5 grand in Bitcoin. Could be used so much better in altcoins

  9. Well at the sake of sounding dumb over a $3000 investment. But we didn't buy Lambos cause they were safe. We are all a little fucked up and crazy, and we take risks. Go big or go home.

You're not really taking risks with only 3000 dollars invested. Hell, I could afford to lose that completely and not even blink an eye. I know people with debt that are going in 10k into crypto. Now that's risk
