  1. To ignore tires in any cornering or track comparison is not a good way to determine the cars ability. Slap Trofeo R on the 720S and it will be faster. It also will lose a big part of its design philosophy, where it's meant to be used on the street, that includes rain. The Performante was over 5 seconds a lap slower than the 720S on Autocar's wet test track. Now, you might not drive in the wet with a supercar, but tires are a HUGE lap time contributor, and arguably is the biggest improvement for any of these cars over the last 4 years. It's why a F1 car on Ultrasofts will blow by a car on Soft, even with 100 less horsepower and a worse chassis

  2. It does handle corners you'd be nuts to think otherwise but slower accelerating cars perform equally or better on tracks so it is always about the sum of all things, straight line acceleration is the 720S's party trick.

I would LOVE to have access to the FikseSTS Highway, in that instance I would need a 720S :icon_super:

On a separate note, how about the P15 now that thing will be a monster! I can't wait to see it.

The P15 will be insane, but straight line is not the party trick of the 720S. It's that it can be fast on the track and then be a great cruiser, even in rain because it uses Corsa tires. The car puts those lap times while being sprung softly. That's incredible. Trofeo R tires is worth a lot of lap time, they're not really usable in the wet as seen from the Autocar wet lap times, and they wear fairly quickly. That's mostly true of the MPSC2 as well. Of course it's strong in a straight line from power to weight and aero. But if setup with Trofeo R, I'd be surprised if anything in this class other than the GT2RS would take it out

  3. wow, i really under estimated the 720s. if you're all about straight line speed(with a warranty) it cant be beat

I still prefer the performante though

It's not just for straight line. Probably the best all-rounder for sale. That doesn't appeal to everyone, of course. Lots of us prefer the harder track focused stuff, have preferences for sound, looks, etc. This car can handle. Doing Performante and AMG GT-R lap times with less sticky tires. Rumor is it did a 1'21.7 at Willow. That's crazy

  4. Um, what a crock of shit. The economy advances that Trump loves to claim is a result of Obama's fiscal policy. He hasn't actually done anytime other than float the idea of a tax cut, one that he isn't capable of pushing through which will result in the largest drop in the stock market in 9 years. The GDP growth of 3.1% vs 3% expected is the biggest joke in years. It's not even the best in the last 6 years. And it's such a small margin that it's within the error of calculation. When you have to claw at shit like that, it's a sign of desperation. Unemployment also a joke, the trend was clear since Obama's terms. Privitization of air traffic control is the biggest joke in aviation history. Ask any pilot if they would like their lives in the hands of the lowest common denominator in contracting. Cutting banking regulations sure helped in 2008, with the largest crash in recent history and banking bailouts costing the taxpayer billions of dollars. Good idea.

Can't even keep up with the amount of dumb posts with no sourcing that you posted, and even the ones that are known, they're fcuking stupid decisions to begin with. Cut all regulation to environmental affairs and take us back to LA 1985. Environmental pollution kills millions of people a year, he wants to deregulate it all. He puts people who have no business of being leaders of departments in charge. Their incompetence truly is fascinating. The sign one, cut two regulation stance also makes absolutely zero fcuking sense. If you have three good ideas, you can only do one? Even a second grader can understand that makes no sense. That's just to start, but we can go on

  5. Race cars used to have power at those levels. Can Am Posche and 80s turbo F1. They'd still have that kind of power if they didn't have limited on number of engines in a season and fuel flow limits. Time attack cars now have power close to that and it's needed for lap time. You can shave off seconds a lap with faster corner exit acceleration and straight line speed. You also can add significantly more aero, look at Mercedes killing everyone else in F1. That's with just 40-50 hp more than their competitors

  6. The same number that have been attempted. And the same number that happened prior to 911. Which is my point. They are abarent events. The number of people who even WANT to do them is minuscule.

There have been many hijackings in the US prior to 9/11. Heck, over 130 in just a 10 year period. How many are there now? 0

  7. Planes crash and the NTSB crawls all around that shit, determines what went wrong, and forces manufacturers to make changes to improve safety if possible. People fly planes into building and regulations are implemented to significantly increase cockpit security.

  8. 69’? It wasn’t? Remember in 66’ when the Texas belltower shooter used a bump fire stock semi automatic rifle to murder 18 people including an unborn child and injure 30 more? Wait. It was just a Democrat with the bolt action rifle

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_..._tower_shooting

How many do you think he would have killed with the setup that this coward used? My biggest concern now is times square with all those people at the ball drop and one of these nuts going full auto there. That's a security nightmare.

  9. The NRA is a legislative body now???

It’s not the NRAs job to “correct” regulations by the ATF.

Listen. I know more about guns. Own more guns. Have shot more guns than you’ve had hot lunches. And these bump stock things were largely below MY radar.

Until I watched a video of one about ten minutes ago I was pretty unaware of how effectively they mimic automatic fire. It’s pretty amazing to me actually. And I still have a ton of questions (like did his finger fall off admirer the first three minutes) but I’d be willing to REGULATE them.

And how was this “not an issue” in the past? Machine guns have been around since the 1910s. And we’re much more available than they are now until 1986. And yet they just don’t get used in crime.

Those of us who religiously watch gun YouTuber personalities have known about bump stocks for years. Not the most popular since it's a huge waste if ammo and accuracy, but sure, perfect I guess aiming center mass of the crowd

  10. You realize statistically in the US, there is a mass shooting once a week, right? Why is it that we have so many more than the rest of the world per capita? I don't care if you own guns, I own a few myself, but the private party sale loophole, gun show loophole, and all these accessory runarounds make no sense. Where does it end? How do you think it would work if there was no regulation whatsoever? Obviously there is a middle ground and where we are at, you do nothing, it will only continue. PS, that Washington Post article didn't mention that the GOP has canned funding for the CDC to investigate guns and their effect on public health, so we don't have a clue about what does and doesn't solve this issue. The NRA has this country by the balls and will never let go

  11. Want to guess were 57 Americans were also killed last month?

I’ll give you a hint. It has the strictest hand gun control in the country and should be a liberals wet dream, especially one that doesn’t use social media

And where do those guns come from?
