  1. Again, it is stunning and will bring big coin. Just work your best deal and buy it. You will be very happy I'm sure. Offer 20k

less and work your way up from there. Its for sale so you guys will be able to work something out. Opinions are useless

on a car you want and love. I love it! I have no dog in the hunt but I say pay your lowest worked out price and get it in your

garage. If you think you are paying too much, who cares. They are holding big value and I think the bottom has already

arrived. Most cars that went up crazy have come back to a stable resting point in my opinion. A 99 Roadster is super rare,

How many are for sale? Jump on that beauty!

  2. Aggression? Lol.

This just in, Trump's lawyer hires his own lawyer...

I don't have aggression but the democrat, republican, liberal, conservative

wars get old and I see the hate. We got what we got. I would bet we got it for 4 more

years. The drama will also continue for 4 years. I'm not a drama queen so carry on.

    I'm backing the President.

  3. Take it right back where it all got rebuilt. Virtually impossible to troubleshoot with the info given. I know there is a learning mode that it can

be put in. Techs can do it for sure. Was yours ever done? Disconnect the power to the battery for a few minutes. Reconnect and drive it for 10 minutes or so.

    It may fix itself.

  4. Took it to Norwood, has 40% clutch left.

40% for those miles is awesome. Someone really knew how to baby it if that is the original clutch. Most of the wear comes off

new clutches in the first 5k miles. 60-70% left in the first 5k is normal so only 60% wear on that car is outstanding. I would have a tough

time buying a car with those miles from a non Lambo dealer that knows how to completely go through the car and make it right. Michael

at Norwood is the top two Lambo Techs in the nation in my opinion so Let him do your PPI if he hasn't already and you will be good. He worked

    for Lambo Dallas 15 years.

  5. Carbon looks like Italian marble for a fcuking bathroom. Hate it. With passion.

I love the marble look! I had all the carbon on my Huracan clear coated instead of the mat and it looks like this. That's all they did. Not saying it

looks better than weave but it looks very high end and classy.

  6. Yeah, it's not your exhaust gasket. You won't get a code if that gasket fails.

It's probably your gas cap. Take it off, pull out the rubber insert and clean it well, then put on some lube and tighten down well. Then clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it does, you have a leak somewhere else in the gas tank venting system, not the exhaust system.

+1 Those gaskets typically look like that on the outside but aren't leaking. No 02 sensor after them so don't bother with it unless you hear a leak when it is running.

  7. The government healthcare provided here in Canada is absolutely fantastic. Can it be better? Sure. But when my dad got cancer and treatment is covered even though his financial situation is not great, thats when you know THE SYSTEM WORKS. Its very likely in the US that given his finacial situation he would simply have had to accept his death or it would be to the financial demise of the entire family. If my taxes need to be higher compare to an otherwise private system then so goddamn be it.

Of course everyone will have to deal with the way things are but to speak up for things that CAN be changed is very important. And as I said I think in the name of the blue collar worker/average american, some horrible things are going to be done to those same people. The reality is a lamborghini forum will represent a disproportionately high % of people who won't be worse from the proposed plans (or may be better off because of them) but that doesn't change the fact the Trump movement was (supposedly) about the average American. Problem is, almost no one from the administration has ever been an average middle class american. They simply do not understand the issues or have the right perspectives and don't understand how it's going to affect the people they claim to help.

For everyone of these statements I can find a Canadian that says it is terrible.

  8. i am not sure why you say big difference btw 97 and 99

i can understand the 6.0 is quite different from the rest, not sayng better or worst, but sure different

but a roadster 95-96...99...they are almost the same

and the same goes for VT or SV imo: take an early SV or late SV, probably a euro car is more different in the same year than a US 96 is from a US 99

i do not like the most notable difference: fixed lights (nissan 300Zx)

as for the most important interior difference: 99 dash looks not so much nicer than the 94-98 to me.

i mean i like both, you can prefer one or other but neither is bad looking

yes, the early big TV 2wd dash was ugly but from 93-94 they stopped making them

the other differences btw a 95-97 to 99 (power gain, airbags, abs....) are some good and some bad but nothing major

i mean 530 hp vs 520 vs 492 quoted....so close that hardly can be noticed, not to mention the dyno runs for diablos usually have very closer results and the later cars got heavier for the ABS, airbags, variable timing etc...

99 commands a premium over the older years but i venture to guess it could change.

the reason being the original diablo look was the pop up car and lot of nostalgic people for pop up cars in their 30's and 40's now

p.s. i have NOTHING against the 99 diablos, but i always thought the fixed lights look better on 6.0 and GT than on the rest of diablos. the reason being the GT and 6.0 were designed for them, the other cars adapted to fixed lights

Lets see, variable timing for cams (big technology btw) verse standard timing, fixed headlights vs pop up and major instrument panel change. Like I said big difference between the two and the price reflects it. The 99 will always command a bigger price in my opinion. Most think the instrument panel is much nicer that the previous cars and it is pre 6.0. Not knocking your car if you have a pre variable timing but it is a noticable horsepower difference and it will always top the previous years in value. Love that car in silver btw. Also love the wheels. Just one persons opinion : )

  9. Going back to the OP's question. Does anyone know the silver '99 at Interstate. Didn't "meandmyredcorvette" most recently own it?

I have lots more to say on the topic of Diablo values. Firstly, why the insistence that only Lambo owners/dealers know what they're talking about? I know what I'm talking about.

Do you only go with a heart surgeon who's had a heart attack themselves? Of course not. They may not have had one but they still know their shit.

To me a quick glance of Roy's current stock shows that he's on the sidelines for now until things become predictable again. He's got an outlyer 6.0 - a staggeringly amazing car that he's comfortable with; a '99 that he's already made money on and has a crazy low cost on, and a roadster I bet he wishes he didn't have. Countach? Only older carb cars.

No 91-92 Diablos. No mid range cars. No 25ths. No fuel injected Countach. Stuff he was selling like hot cakes not long ago. No sign of them now. Oh and he just cut prices on all 3 Diablos a week or two ago.

It's currently tough to argue, folks, that the Diablo market isn't dropping.

Sure, the cars with mileage and other concerns that were priced with the ones that did not have those concerns. That's not the market dropping that's cars being adjusted to what they were or are worth. I know you are hoping and there is nothing wrong with that and you can justify just about anything to talk the market down so it will come down because you are a buyer. Its not a buyers market. That is clear. Good luck.

  10. Lol always buyers with that view. Pretty sure the 94 had significant miles, accident history, and needed an engine out. You're talking about the red one? That's hardly a market indicator.

This is exactly what I mean. Chipster has been around so sound advice for sure. Apples to apples is the key when comparing.

  11. I agree the newbruno. Too bad I bought in early 2016. I've been watching the market too and I think you are right. I follow the FGT market and the Diablo and both have dropped. I think 250-260 for a 99 is WAY high, unless its a very rare color and pristine collector condition. Plus, lower mile Diablo's or "old" car for that matter doesn't do too well from little use. I drive my cars so no garage queens for me.

Sounds great! Go find that 175k Blu Scuro rdstr he was talking about and jump on it. Sounds nice! Hey, opinions vary so mine is just one.

Get a solid inspection done at a reputable shop first. Sometimes the 170 car jumps to 210 or more to get it right. Ask me how I know and get some real knowledge on this board and others.

  12. Why don't you start a poll of Lambo owners, current and old to see how your numbers look. The market jumped a couple of years

ago by 40-50% . Testarossas that could be bought for 60-70 went to 150 and they are selling for 120 now. 6.0's that were 170-180 jumped to 290-300 according to mileage and are selling at that for very nice ones. Of course there is the 230k car. haha. I know what they wholesale for and retail so I don't know where you are getting your info. Dealers will never tell you the honest number that their car sold for and owners will not either for the better part so keep that in mind. The OP needs to buy the car that suits him and not worry about that special deal on that one diablo with the lower price you are talking about that probably needs 20k worth of service. There are much more knowledgeable people than me but I have owned and sold many. Check your numbers out with the many on this board. You might be surprised. They don't make them anymore and the nice ones are few. There will always be the 150 or 175k car that is worth exactly that but nothing compared to the 225-250 car of the same model and year. Just my two cents based on real experience. Best of luck in your Diablo search!

You might wait it out to see if the economy tanks. That will put them back again hopefully. I'm living today myself not for the future hope. Hey I don't even buy green bananas after the heart scare I had this wknd. I know how exciting it was when I bought my first so enjoy it brother.
