I just got the Brilliant exhaust installed on my SV. Sounds awesome... I also talked to Gintani and they could not show me a version of their exhaust for anything other than an SVJ, and I basically walked from that discussion quick, assuming they never made one for a regular aventador.
My only issue now is that I got a tune from VF Engineering an unfortunately the car goes into limp mode after idling for about 30 seconds after car is warmed up. Throws an error code and I have to restart the car and hurry up and get into gear.
Are there any good aventador tuners out there that really know what they are doing? I feel like alot of tuners are doing guesswork.
They sent you pics of SVJ exhaust? When I requested pics they didn’t respond which made my exhaust choice easier.

I kind of disagree. It’s one thing if it made no extra power but sounded amazing. But how do you know it’s not losing power ?
I’m not sure if you were around or remember but a couple years back when the factory was offering the race exhaust and tune and they claimed that it gained 10% power and now mind you this is factory not some little shop in California i’m not sure if you were around or remember but a couple years back when the factory was offering the race exhaust and tune and they claimed that it gained 10% power and now mind you this is factory not some little shop in California
Well for once the smart buyer had his Aventador dynod the day before the exhaust installation by the dealership and had it immediately dynode after and he lost almost 50 foot pounds of torque in the process and gained 4 whp at 8500 rpm lol.
He was in a battle with factory for months and they had no explanation and at the end of the day they completely removed this option which is why you can no longer but a race exhaust and tune for the Aventador from the factory cause they couldn’t even back up their claim.
I don’t give a damn how good an exhaust sounds if I’m gonna lose 50 ft/lb
I wasn’t speaking on behalf of everyone.

A lot of Japanese for example go for looks and sound but they probably tune their cars to minimise any losses. As I said their Stardropper exhaust weighs 80kg, if everyone cared about performance then Stardropper wouldn’t sell any.
-
good point regarding before and after dyno’s. I suppose exhaust buyers that are getting exhausts for the sound aren’t too particularly concerned about power especially when the Lambo’s already have heaps of power. I know that the Stardropper exhaust for SVJ weighs around 80kg!!!! That’s a huge increase over stock.
Having said that, titanium exhaust systems are typically designed to reduce weight which adds performance that can’t be measured on a dyno.

I bought it from a fellow Aventador owner for my car, and then sold it shortly after to another.
so not an SVJ? As I believe the sound characteristics between SVJ and non SVJ is substantially different. i.e. I don't think powercraft on non SVJ is comparable to same on SVJ

I had Powercraft. It doesn't scream like this. These Gintani's are equal length headers. That's the condition needed for the pitch.
What car did you have Powercraft on?

Thanks for that, sure screams doesn’t it. It’s between this and Powercraft for me.

That sounds bonkers, the audio seems to be a bit off, need another vid with a different recording device. Does it spit flames on idle though??

Another special edition but it's rarer than the 63 roadster. Makes no sense whatsoever but it's Lambo been Lambo.

What’s so special about it apart from pictures of hexagonals on it?

thanks for that... I had it installed on the SVJ last week, it's improved the sound but it's still a far cry from our LP-700 stock exhaust

Love it and black accents really transforms the look of the SVJ. Reminds me of rana65556's SVJ.
but better.
how did you do the tyre markings?

Great spec. Was considering the same but got Rosso Targa instead (also with no SVJ lettering).
What is this exhaust valve controller you speak of and where do you get it from?

I have one. Its Black on black. I spent time (2 years) assembling material and working with artists. My last AVSV was epic. this one...the svj its 100% me. I am gushing. for once I believe I will 100% be able to express myself with this car. This is something for me. It is so beautiful. I am so happy. this is MY favorite … even redesigned the Trinacria for this one. Concubine throwing a real fun reveal party (holy shyt that means … a real reveal like I like. A real reveal … you know. and I cant wait to show this car off. I can see it now! its going to be amazing. and when I open the door...… that's when the magic starts
any photo's/vids of the reveal party?

I'll add this...
I was at the factory last week. Looks like the AV line is making SVJ's only but none looked very "Ad Personam"; fairly standard specs as far as I can see. And they haven't even begun to make the SVJ roadsters yet.
??? Many roadsters have already been delivered to customers...

The 63 is listed for $899k but open to offers.
Is that above or below original purchase price?

So whoever bought it, I assume did so to flip it. Interesting to see how much it will fetch and if it will be over original purchase price.

Was it a cancelled order?

One SVJR has just been delivered to my local dealer. Was advised that their next SVJR isn’t due until December 2020 and another sometime in 2021.

whatever it is, get rid of those tips...

So I saw in the thread 2022 timeframe but recalled seeing something in the late summer that said 2024 for replacement. What’s the latest? We heard SVJ pinnacle of V12 & just variants of Aventador S but that’s a long runway to 2024. So what’s the chances of getting another “light weight” version similar to the SVJ but positioned above it?
If they do something above the SVJ and at around the SVJ price point I’ll be pissed. They already bent over loyal enthusiasts by releasing so many SVJ’s (higher number than SV’s also!).

Is it valved?

Who knows anything of Gintani?

He wrote “kg” but must have meant “lb”. I was surprised when he said 80kg. That explains that.
