Thanks Stimpy. As you have seen I try to keep it like that. An OCD problem.

Don't know why they did it like that, but if it goes in first it still has to back out right? In any case the clutch snap when I bled the actuator was only down .01mm :-)))

If they put it in facing forward, the car wouldn't be reversed uphill, it would be backed out downhill. Reversing uphill is what's bad for the egear clutch. Even if it doesn't wear it out, it can glaze the clutch since there's a lot more slippage going in reverse in the egear.

Damn Doug... HE caused me to buy my first Lambo, seriously. A few months after watching this video, I had to have one. I love mine.

    Here's mine getting delivered.

    So pristine!

Why did he back it into the trailer? That’s really hard on the egear.

  3. That software works.

Answered my own question on the cable above, it works with LDAS to talk to ECU’s.

Another question for JeffLambo: What’s the procedure to clear the airbag code with the Airbag software? We are talking to the airbag module, but can’t find the instructions on how you use the software to clear the light. That software seems pretty cryptic.

  4. Just watched an episode of Wheeler Dealers where Ant did this job on an old Golf GTI. That car had the bolt like your top pic, and after the job he made the comment that the seals are a lot easier to change on GTI than on a lot of other cars. It's very possible the 2007 LP-640 falls into that category of being a lot harder.

I would think JeffLambo is your best bet for experience with your model year diff.

To use Lare you need cables as I list.

First Gen Gallardo's Basic XS and Grey cable.

Second Gen Gallardo's Basic XS and Black cable.

04-07 Murci ABS/AIR BAG Kline cable.

08 Murci Basic XS and Grey cable.

09-10 Murci Basic XS and Black cable.

First Gen Gallardo's use Lara and LDAS for diagnostics.

Gen 2 Gallardo's  use Lara only.

02/03 Murci use LDAS and AIR BAG and ABS software.

04-10  Murci use LDAS, LARA, AIR BAG and ABS software.

As far as different software I will list.

LDAS which uses a LDAS cable and dose not plug into OBD port.

LARA which dose plug into OBD port.

AIR BAG program which plugs into OBD port.

ABS program which plugs into OBD port.

ODIS is used on Aventador, Huracan and Urus and is used to get radio codes for both Gen 1 & 2 Gallardo's, it uses a different cable (5054 head cable) that plugs into OBD port. Note Gen 1 Gallardo's will also need the OBD adaptor plug you see in one of the pics above for radio code.

Awesome info Jeff -- thank you!

Can you tell us what LIE is used for with Lamborghini's?

NGK is recommending 4347 instead of 2316.

Anyone using this plug? 2004 Murcielago

Do you have a link to this information? NGK makes cross reference tables and I remember the table showing the stock Champion matching to 2316.

I am using 2316 in my 04 for a couple of months now with no issues.

I enjoyed your real time video.

Why the bleed screw access is not so easy...Italian tradition I suppose.

Would you consider an access panel on the outside of the center console's leather?

Lastly, the Neutral Switch DTC code...was its failure coincidence or related to the bleed procedure?

Looking at the location of the bleed ports, any access panel would stick out like a sore thumb above the passenger's seat. Another idea would be to re-engineer the internal panels to somehow make it easier to get just that side panel for the tunnel off without having to pull the entire interior.

I need 7 tons of AC to cool my shop, at least.... The heat I can somewhat take, but the lift is more important. Tired of crawling around on the ground. Had quickjacks and others, this Bendpack LP is the shizzits.

My garage has one of these 2 tons in it.

Don't get me wrong, if I could have both, I would have the lift and the AC. I can't the have the lift without moving houses.

Your shop must be huge! 3 tons can do a 2000 sqft house.

Being old and 100 degrees in the shop did not help either, LOL

I used to have that problem.

Check out Mr Cool. You can do the install yourself without any special A/C tools. 3 Ton unit gives a lot cooling power, so you don't need to insulate the garage to stay cool.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NW1GQVS/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

System comes pre-filled with refrigerant and uses special quick connects to avoid the need to vacuum and charge. You only need to drill a 3.5" hole in the wall for the pipes and wires and run 220V. It throttles itself down when less cooling is needed, so go with the bigger unit to have the power when you need it. It's also a heater. Has a remote, and app for remote control.

I wish I had room for a lift like yours, but if you asked me to choose between a lift or Mr Cool, Mr Cool is winning every time! It's makes all the difference being comfortable.

  10. That sounds like you’ve got a good plan now.

As mentioned before, it’s only 4 allen pretty easy to reach screws and the seat comes right out. Not even any wires to disconnect.

Note, whenever you put a seat back in using the factory screw holes, the screws need to be well started into the holes by hand before using any power tools because it’s crazy easy to cross thread them. The threads are extremely soft. If not, you’ll be searching for a tap to clear the threads and making a simple job into a task. Don’t ask me how I know!

The system has no memory so when the error light starts to blink test the system and see what code comes up. Recommend to use a stethoscope to listen to the shock while someone operates the control pad. Have them keep scrolling the up and down buttons while you listen you will hear the shock that dose not work. Bad part is no one has the electrical portion available that I know of.

Yeah, I got the code saying the issue is with the front right shock. I already cleaned the connection, so there's not much left to do about that other than spending $6700 for a new shock. Hard to do that considering that I don't notice any difference in the ride or handling when the error light is off or it is blinking.

Considering the Diablo's and Murci's with Koni's have 6 of them to potentially go bad, hopefully someone will come up with a way to repair the electrical portion the same way John Custer came up with a way to repair the seals.

  12. I got my shocks in the mail today and wasted no time installing them. Still have an intermittent error light, but the shocks were rebuilt for the leaking issue.

I added added an on/off switch to those 2 wires and now I can turn on diagnostic mode!

Very happy — thank you again Jeff!

  13. My Koni front shocks are on their way back tomorrow from John Custer. He is still rebuilding Koni's and he claims to use better quality seals that last longer than OEM. It's $550/shock, and you have to remove the spring before you send them to him.

    Here's his email: [email protected]

    And what he does: http://www.lamboweb.com/Repairs_Section/All_Repairs_Leaking_Koni_Shocks.htm

Lambo**stuff shows they have one in stock for $6700.

From what I have heard, you can't get them from anyone else, and Koni won't talk to you about Lambo shocks. Rebuilding is the way to go.

  14. If you're thinking it's a ridiculous and unsafe idea to just velcro some foam pads to the carpet to make a much roomier seat in the Murci, that's exactly what Lotus did with the back seat of their Evora.

You could get an upholstery shop to shape foam to fit your position in the car and then have them cover the pads in leather.

    Just a thought...

If your talking about the light in the cluster that blinks when going up/down and locks on when car is lifted it is not included in the diagnostics system. It has to do with the low/high pressure switches.

By shock stiffness what I was referring to is the 1-4 adjustment that lights up in control pad. When one of the shocks stiffness adjuster motors stop working if flashes error light in control pad that's when you would use the diagnostic system.

Yes, it’s the error light on the center console that occasionally flashes. It’s very intermittent, so it will be good to know which shock is causing the error.
