  1. You obviously have not tried Launch Control..

Brings back memories of your first attempts to use it in the Gallardo Spider on the streets of Beverly Hills... I never new a clutch could smell so bad.. :icon_oak:

Anyway I think that anyone who uses Launch Control on a 670 should be hit with a shovle.. :tyson:

  2. Note that most the cash is $20 dollars bills, ... that's street money, that's what people use to buy their drugs in America, get it from the ATM and buy dope...

The $100 bill stashes is the laundered money after it was generated by straw companies and/or legitimate businesses that never registered it..

  3. 1) I like my Lambo as close to stock as possible, especially the Murcie which is in my opinion looks as close to perfect out of the nylons...

    2) I agree that individual taste is...individual, some cars look ugly to few and great to others, I sometimes laugh when I see a Lambo with funny wheels but some other times the occasional bone stock Gallardo on the street looks to me as plain and boring as a Toyota Camry LX..

    3) The picture of the lady with the Lambo jacket and making fun of it... not cool :eusa_naughty: she can be a wife of a LP member who reads this thread and besides, making fun of other people looks is soooooo wrong...me thinks.. :eusa_think:

  4. While some here have some good points, like it's going to be a motivating experience and that $800 in vegas is only 2 min at Blackjack table etc... I agree with those points but I still think that renting a Lambo in Vegas is one of the biggest tourist traps that Vegas has to offer..

The only thing worse is getting your picture taken with a F360 in the Forum mall dealership for $20... :jackoff:

I don't know, maybe it's just me... I remember being flat broke years ago and zillion years from owning a Lambo, I never had a desire to pay someone to drive his nice car around the block.

  5. Thanks for the input joe. although that's not what i intend to do either.

i do want to go drive the car. not drive it to the club.

id rather do the tour thing actually.

its only few hours, i dont want to waist it parked at a club. ill have the nights to hit the club.

to be clear, i said right now i won't be able to do it.

I'll still be an owner in the future.

about the insurance. i agree i need to get insurance before this happens. and it may very well be the end of this idea if the cost is too high.

I'm just looking for opinions on whether its recomended.

seems to me the consensus is it's not a good idea.

I just want to add this. i dont plan to drive it up and down the strip. I am here for a reason. the people that rent one to look good arent here reading lambopower. just sayin'

what i want to do is find some roads to take it too. Somewhere i can sort of feel what the car is like, without getting beyond my limits. obvisously something close with the limited milage allowances.

I'm sure your intentions are good... just remember where they lead.. :icon_mrgreen:

Good roads are far away from Vegas, you have to drive out to the desert and even then it's not what I really call good roads..

Sure you can open it up on a street off the strip but remember, Vegas is one giant grid so every 1/2 mile you gonna run into traffic lights or a a stop sign..

Just trying to save LP member some money.. but if you hell bent on driving a Gallardo then go ahead, enjoy your time and post some pictures.. :icon_thumleft:

  6. I would rather rent an exotic hooker in Vegas then an exotic car... Those who rent "exotics" in Vegas, i.e 2005 Gallardo or F430 spider, end up driving 7mph up and down the strip constantly looking for people who give them stares.. That's what it's all about, feeling rich for the day, not "driving" and putting an exotic car through it's passes.

and let me give you a tip, before you nonchalantly trow the keys of "your" "exotic" to the valet guy remember, you are not impressing anyone to say the least, the valet guys seen the same car driven and parked hundred times before by a different out of town wannabe with $1500 to burn..

    :eusa_think:

  7. The black guy although throwing the first punch is the victim of the situation, at least he stood up for something here, in his mind he was defending the black people in front of several vocal Black ladies on the bus...

The old crackpot is a trouble maker who possibly lost his mind 40 years ago in Vietnam.. I believe that 50% of what EBM saying is a factual truth but the other 50% belongs to LALA land..

  8. Go with the standards at that price point: Panerai 001, 005, or 111, or a slightly pre-owned 2006-2007 Rolex Submariner. They're very easy to get out of once you're ready for the next class up as they're always in demand by the first-timers, and you'll likely retain 80% of the value (or more if you buy smart) over the next couple years.

Those are your best bets, try to stay away from TAG as they're a great choice below $2k, but there are much better choices at the range you stated. No offense intended to the TAG crowd, I enjoy their time pieces as well.

    :iamwithstupid:

another odd tip I can give you is if you want Rolex, try to buy the OLDEST Rolex you can find in your price range and not the newest... older Rolexs looks better imo and retain full value..

  9. I keep stock rims on sport cars. Don't mind running aftermarket on DD's that's not meant for 200mph+.

Edit: If I don't plan on going above 150mph in the vehicle I don't mind aftermarket. Any vehicle I plan on going faster than 150mph I leave stock rims.

    :iamwithstupid:

That's a smart aproach and I will also ad that on cars that go over 150 mph I will not patch a flat tire but rather replace it with new..

  10. After reading the Youtube comments, as well as, some here, it's funny to see how some peoples' closet, racist views come to light when videos such as these are posted. It never ceases to amaze me that people of higher education and social economic status still harbor racist views and attitudes.

    :iamwithstupid:

Some words to live by.. :icon_thumleft:

I thought that it was generally the uneducated, ignorant rural dwelling folks that were the main harborers of racial hatred, well, I guess that I was proven wrong today.

Now you joking or being sarcastic right? :lol2:

  11. We don't know what happened prior to the recording.

We don't but I feel that it doesn't really matter:

The fight took place Tuesday afternoon on the San Francisco-bound NL line in downtown Oakland, near the corner of Harrison and Webster streets. Alameda County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene and took both men to the hospital, said AC Transit spokesman Clarence Johnson. The younger man was treated for cuts and bruises received during the fight, and the older man was under observation for mental instability.

  12. As a CCW-holder, I have spent more time than most "normal" people would studying self-defense laws and various situations. I don't think most prosecutors would try to bring charges against the bearded guy. Making inflammatory verbal statements to someone is generally not illegal and he clearly moved away from the situation once it escalated to a heated argument.

He only used any force when the African American gentleman FOLLOWED HIM and struck him at least once. The bearded guy attacked after he had been struck and he did not prolong the encounter unecessarily. Once he had physically handled his assailant, he left the bus. He was understandably riled up and yelling but did not carry on the physical counter-attack. From the video alone, I'd call this a clear-cut self defense.

The old guy is a notorious trouble maker who initiated the confrontation and you know what, the Ambulights guy carried himself with relative dignity, don't let the ebonics fool you...

However, the biggest losers of this fight are all the racists who let their true colors show in their comments...
