What the fcuk?!?! I've never had anything like that happen but I'd like to think I'd point lawyers at that mechanic or something to make his life hell.
Hope it's smooth going for you from now on, you had your fair share of problems a long time ago.

Gandini designed it, Chrysler did not like it... and assigned one of their designers to make changes. (this designer lives by me)
A very special photo for you guys...
Nice pic. The Cizeta looks a lot better than that prototype but still no cigar compared to the Diablo.
Can this guy be credited or is there a reason he's below the radar?Yeah who is this guy? He nailed it.

I just remembered on the immigration/passport cards handed out on incoming flights to Singapore and Australia last week they've asked passengers if they've been in "Africa, South America, and the Caribbean in the last 6 days".
Well it seems you can walk straight into Australia fresh off the plane from Africa without any checks or quarantine:
AN Australian businessman has questioned the strength of our quarantine procedures after breezing through Customs on his return from Ebola-plagued west Africa. Christopher Cooper from Marcus Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, flew in from Lagos, Nigeria via Johannesburg last Friday, July 29.
Despite going through Lagos Airport two days after a man confirmed as having the deadly Ebola virus disease, Mr Cooper said he was asked no questions about his health. “Lagos is the filthiest airport,” said Mr Cooper. “There’s dust and dirt everywhere and the toilets are a disgrace. They haven’t lifted their game whatsoever. “You can’t help compare it with the SARS outbreak in Asia (in 2003), when every handrail and handle was constantly being sanitised by airport staff.”
He made a point of not using the toilets at Lagos but was still surprised not to be asked any questions about his wellbeing when he passed through Customs in Sydney. “There didn’t even seem to be any infra-red cameras taking your temperature like they do at Asian airports,” Mr Cooper said. “Because I answered yes to having been in Africa in the past six days I was pulled aside, but the Customs agent only inquired about my Yellow Fever vaccination card.”
Australian border protection authorities have given assurances every effort is being made to ensure Ebola does not reach our shores. A spokeswoman for the Federal Department of Health said the World Health Organisation did not currently advise special screening of passengers at entry points, or any travel or trade restrictions.
“As part of routine procedures, incoming flights to Australia have on-board announcements, asking passengers who are feeling unwell with fever, chills or sweats to alert a crew member,” said the spokeswoman. “Crew members would alert border protection and biosecurity staff.”

Good to hear you are still with your supermodel.

Lost both as friends, but to me they both showed their true character during the divorce so I fcuked them both off.

I've got some noisy birds around here. I might get some bird eating spiders launched into the garden to take care of them.
-
Never driven one but I've been told the clutch slips under load to absorb the shock of the shift, so it wears out much faster too.

What in the fcuk I havn't laughed this hard in years. I'm in tears.
Looks like mustang-burnout-crash-fest is a yearly tradition:
cop was a jerk offPossibly a mustang fan looking out for his brothers.

If I tried that I'd break the other mirror off, both doors and probably a couple of wheels as well.

Excellent.
Interesting seeing the blue on the camshafts and hearing how they wear!

Thanks for the write up, it made me go and look at what my black over white is. It's an Autoart, got a broken off mirror too.
I thought both my doors were faulty until reading this, they are exactly as described.

OK girls if you ever come to Australia don't worry about spiders too much. Redbacks are not aggressive and only hang out in quiet areas out of the way, it's really only if you put your hands under or behind something where they are living will you ever have problems. You can spot them well before they can cause any harm, they are not aggressive and are easy to squash like a fly. If you do get bitten you have plenty of time to get to the hospital, but I still wouldn't take my time too much.
Now the Funnel Web is another story. They are aggressive, tough like leather, and go roaming around and into houses during mating season. Luckily most of the year they just hide in the ground or under something as they need a damp environment to live. If you do get bitten get to the hospital quick as they can kill in about 15 minutes. Luckily I have never come across one and I would probably turn into a screaming little girl if I did.
I don't really believe in karma, but this is weird. I posted a bunch of spider videos to mess with the arachnophobes a few days ago. My wife just got home from work and said that she almost wrecked on the way home. She was driving and a silver dollar sized grey wolf spider crawled up her leg into her lap. She's driving on the highway, freaks out, tries to pull over to the shoulder and almost gets hit by a guy changing lanes without a signal. Luckily she stopped safely, killed the spider and made it home unharmed. Crazy... car is always garaged, newer S4 so it seals like a vault, windows never open, doors and trunk always shut. Must have hitched a ride in one of her bags.Relax. That spider was probably in the car well before you posted.

Yeah there are videos around with Gandini in his studio talking about the Diablo and he shows drawings that look to me like the very early Diablo prototypes and the Cizeta, quite different to the production Diablo. No doubt without Gandinis help the Chrysler design studio would be lost but still Gandini was happy to have his name where it is.
In any case they nailed it.

You work at the Ferrari factory?

My understanding is that the Viper's engine was never a truck engine. The Viper V10 and the Ram's V10 were two different engines. Skip to 8:34 in this video:
I guess you didn't sense the sarcasm. Early Viper engine is 400hp from 8 liters, it's a truck engine in a car.
-
Even learned something new from the viper guys... Evidentially the lamborghini team helped design the viper when Chrysler owned both?
Just the engine, converting the V10 design from a cast iron truck engine into a cast aluminum truck engine.

Because he can!!!
No he can't!

What is the difference between a woman who decides to do it for money and one who dates a lot of guys and does it for nothing? THey both might have the same number of partners.
I don't know how I feel about it, and I'm not judging.
In some ways it's probably better to have it legal and "controlled" with required testing and protection to prevent the spread of STDs than to have zero regulation and no protection for either party.
If it's between consenting adults and no one is getting "hurt" (whatever definition applies) I don't see anything wrong with it as an occupation in order to pay the bills. I assume there are plenty of women who might opt to try it and find they are not cut out for this line of work.
As far as "trusting a woman" for "marriage material"....isn't that just a matter of getting to know someone REALLY well and getting past the "googly eyed stage" which includes arguing and making up and really seeing what they are made of? Unless you are both virgins - there is probably sexuall history once you get past late teens early twenties, and maybe quite a bit of sexual history the older you are. Whether the sex was in exchange for money doesn't seem nearly as important as what the woman shares about herself and whether she is a good person. I would assume consenting adults entering into a serious relationship might want testing (I don't know and I'm married a LONG time so this isn't my area of expertise) before having sex.
I'm American and I agree we are FAR too uptight about sex in this country and could probably learn a lot from European and other cultures.
I bet there are a lot of "mature" adults out there with all sorts of things in their past that they may not be proud of. When you start a relationship in your 30s 40s 50s .... will you ever really know everything? And if people make mistakes (and who doesn't) and then learn from them to become a better person - isn't that more important than the things they've done of which they might be ashamed? I can think of things MUCH worse than taking money for sex....
And what's the difference between being an escort and accepting money, versus accepting valuable gifts like jewelry, trips, meals, travel? You're not taking "money" in those cases but some might say it's in exchange for sex. Maybe there's more to the relationship - maybe not. But I find it difficult to draw the line.
I'm 34 and better the devil you know. If you're going to get involved with a current or ex porn star or prostitute it sure would be nice to know about that early on. Don't need to know everything but a partner who used to or currently sells themselves for sex then keeps that a secret from everyone important to her is capable of some pretty big lies and deceit.
It comes back to the knowing someone really well aspect, less so than the sexual side but keep in mind it's not uncommon for prostitutes to have many hundreds or even thousands of "partners". To me at least the sexual side is what makes a relationship different, without that you just have another friend.
I agree that having prostitution legal is safer than otherwise but the no-one getting hurt isn't so simple with post traumatic stress common later on in life for sex workers. I probably know a bit too much about this industry as I did a paper on it while at university, that doesn't make me an expert at all but there are plenty of journal articles published about different aspects. Sex work isn't simply an occupation comparable to other jobs.

Ok, I just skimmed through this thread......and wanted to throw a complete curveball to it, while staying on topic of the universe.
I've been wondering for quite a few years now about something my brain (and a few others) cannot understand, and I like to refer it to in three words:
THERE ALWAYS WAS.
Meaning, there had to exist negative infinity for time. Whatever you want to argue about matter and what not (big bang) is fine....but the concept that there was always something is very disturbing if you put your mind to it enough -- I know it has caused discomfort at times, lol. Just like there will be infinite time moving forward, there had to be infinite time moving backwards. How do you process in your brain something that "started" if there could always be something before that, in time?
Stuff like that is something I don't think the human mind can process. This is one area where I root for the reality of a "creator".
Am I missing something here? I don't think the big bang represents the beginning of "time", so to speak.
You're thinking about it philosophically from the consciousness of a mere human. Assume nothing.
When you start thinking of time in terms of general relativity it's not so hard to imagine "time" slowing and speeding up. When you understand that then the possibility of "time" starting or stopping or not existing at all doesn't seem so bad.

Congrats again andecorp! I vote for a new thread dedicated to smurf porn.
