Yes I was surprised to see the orange script, interesting color choice. I didn't think it looked that bad in the flesh but black would be much much better. If you want all the pics I took at Motorclassica last year PM me.

  2. I am surprised at just how low Diablo prices have been over the last 10 years, IMO they were basically fully depreciated for a long time. It's easy to say that in hindsight but I didn't want to talk up the prices earlier to make them more expensive! I guess I missed the boat on this one for now.

Pic taken by the seller. I am finally going to receive her on Saturday and I'll update with my own pics then.

Fcuk yeah congrats and have fun tomorrow! I have a couple of poor quality phone pics somewhere I took of that car without the "SV" scripting, I'll dig them out and put them in the thread.

I see what you mean about no Diablos on the market here right now, just one high mileage 6.0 for sale at this minute on Carsales.

  3. Here's my youtube flag, there wasn't a category for douchery:

Thank you for submitting your report. Here is the information we received from you:

    Issue reported:

Hateful or abusive content > Abusing vulnerable individuals

    Additional details:

The guy videoing abused the Lamborghini driver by relentlessly stalking him for close to an hour.

  4. Yeah this ain't no fire from a faulty heat shield or poorly positioned oil line. The engines have been throwing rods from either incorrect tension on the bolts, or from faulty rod bolts, punching a hold in the block then oil goes everywhere in engine bay. It's easy to imagine what is required to replace the rod bolts on a boxer engine, hence the whole new replacement engines from factory.

  5. Thanks for the info in this thread, truly amazing and very interesting.

A little more...I am sure some of you are asking why the Diablo GT (total of 80 built from 99 to early 2000) are not DOTA/EPA approved. There is still one at the factory and one was crashed were the new owner and the Factory Sales rep died in the crash within a day of taking possesion of it in Spain..so only 78 made it out to market."

Wasn't there a black GT that was destroyed in a horrible crash in Sardinia at the official introduction of the GT? Test driver was driving with a potential client as passenger, test driver killed along with a passenger in the car involved, a truck was also involved. (info from some magazine article)

  6. It's really no different than a 6.0

I don't think there is any gotchas but they are aging and often need lots of restoration on brakes, suspension, exhaust, interior, body (especially those parts prone to scraping and rock chips), clutch is engine out, leaks, hoses.

Lastly, check if it's real gt. Not many are from factory

The GT and GTR have a unique intake into the engine with an individual throttle blade for each cylinder, can spot a real one miles away.
