  1. Didn't know about the outsourcing situation that sucks sorry to hear that... I haven't tried the method it looks interesting though!
  2. Yes I know don't get me wrong his work is sick and he works on some insane cars but its the same process, I wouldn't mind making that much a car lol I just dont know how to jusitfy to a customer why his car costs 10,000 to correct! And thanks for the compliment
  3. It starts at 500 and can range anywhere up to 3,000 depending on how many hours are spent, I normally average about 675-750 a car... there is a guy in Europe making 10,000 a car for the same process I do lol
  4. We received another text message from Alex over at SP Engineering regarding a black Nissan GTR that needed a full correction before Chris at Premier did his thing with the clear bra. Over the text Alex said the car was in horrible condition. He wasn't lying tons of swirls, holograms, and deep rids. Knowing that Chris was doing a new clear bra we removed the old clear bra, the car was washed twice over, received some iron x and a full clay bar treatment. The car was an extensive 4 step process and took us 36 hours to complete a 100% turn around. No interior or engine detail was carried out as there was no engine or interior. Enjoy the photos. 5. Normally the cars I do have pretty deep scratches so I normally have to start aggressive, do 105 with the orange speed six work 2 by 2 areas for about 3-5 minutes... then on your second step go between speed 4-6 and use the time frame as above with the first step.. Mercedes are one of the easiest cars to paint correct so you shouldn't have a problem and the orange pad won't cut to much just follow up with the 205 and it should be close to perfect. As far as sealers go I don't know about the Megs you have I personally use Powerlock by Menzerna its a great product goes on easy with the porter cable or by hand and comes off just as easy.
  6. I use Megs 105 & 205 sometimes.. but I mainly use Menzerna on most of the cars I use the most aggressive pads/compound first. On the Lambo I used a grey heavy cut wool pad 5.5 inch pad by Gloss It/ W/ Menzerna PowerGloss Compound... then followed up with Menzerna Power Finish 203 on a yellow medium cutting pad by Gloss It. Then we applied Swissvax Cleaner Fluid ( Regular ) followed with the Concorso... As far as the Orange Peel goes you won't be able to knock that out with just foam pads, what kind of vehicle is it that your doing? I can most likely tell you the combination to achieve a 100% perfect finish. I don't know about the Pinnacle I have never tried it.. For a great mid grade wax I would try Swissvax Onyx. When your dealing with sealers and wax there is a huge difference for durability. Sealers last quite a bit longer than the average wax. But the depth and clarity looks better to me with a wax. You can top either of them on top of each other but if your using a sealer you looking between 4-6 months protection for the average sealer... Wax your looking at 2-5 months protection. However some wax last as long as sealers we have the paul dalton crystal rock wax I put that on my escalade a year ago and its still perfect... But if your going to do to both I would do Sealer first wax on top.
  7. Yes you can do this on every car.. Here is a link to the foam cannon.. http://www.autogeek.net/autogeek-foam-cannon-hp.html Heres the link to the all purpose cleaner.... http://www.autogeek.net/mg10101.html Washing Soap... http://www.autogeek.net/meguiar-s-hyper-wash.html For wheels I sprayed sonax wheel cleaner before, let it sit for about 3 minutes it will turn purple/red when it starts working then we use various brushes to clean everything from the front to the back, when you see the product scroll down and you will see the brushes... http://www.autogeek.net/sonax-wheel-cleaner.html We used a Gloss it Clay Bar but you can use whatever clay bar you want... Thats pretty much it for the wash process... after the polishing/correcting stage we topped the car with Swissvax Concorso. What part of Texas are you from?
  8. Never had a problem its in there for two minutes I rinse off quick then use an electric leaf blower to ensure all of the water is out of the bay..
  9. It's an all purpose cleaner foam... we foam the whole car and let it sit for about 5 mins while its eats the dirt so we insure there are no scratches caused from left over dirt on the paints surface. Then we foam it again with regular wash soap.
  10. I received a phone call from Alex regarding his twin turbo Lamborghini stating that it was ready for us to paint correct. The car was in pretty good condition just some usual light towel scratches from the previous washes it had seen. I tried to get before photos of the scratches but it was impossible due to the paint color and flake. The car was a two step process and took us just under 6 1/2 hours. Out of all of the lambo's i have worked on this would be in my top 5 favorites from the interior to the rims and the exterior. Anyways on the to the photos.. enjoy. 11. Many of you have seen the quality of work and craftsmanship that goes into our details, many people have been asking about our services and how much on average they cost. Typically our paint correction package goes anywhere from 650.00 on up. We decided to introductory paint correction special for summer. We will be doing full paint corrections, full interior, and engine details priced at a flat rate of 475.00 per car. Paint correction is the full removal of scratches, holograms (buffer trails), rids (deeper scratches), and swirls. It is a minimum of 2 steps and can reach up to 9 steps depending on the severity of the paints condition. Once the car is paint corrected we will apply a wax or polymer sealant which ensures 6 months minimum protection for your vehicle in any kind of condition. If there is any interest please send me a PM. Or contact me at [email protected]. Here are a some of the after shots of cars we have corrected.
  12. We have a vacuum attachment that has memory bristles throughout it to pick up all of the dust.
  13. In general if its a 100% paint correction - meaning complete removal of all swirls, scratches, and anything else on the paint it roughly starts around 600 and can go up to 3000 just depends on how much the detailer charges I know someone out in that area if you are needing one...
  14. Myself and JC of Lucci Elite Detail had the pleasure of correcting this beautiful TT GTR. After the assessment of the car we decided to do a full paint correction package with interior. The paint correction was a breeze as every product/pad combination worked on the first try. The car took us a combined total of 14 hours from start to finish. Jc and myself had a great time working on this twin turbo beast. Enjoy the photos.
  15. Thank you for the compliments... it can cost anywhere from 500-1,000 depending on the severity of the paint condition...
  16. After being up at SP Engineering doing all of the others cars we correct, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one in particular. We finally got the go ahead to work our magic and bring this cars outside appearance to match the performance of this beast! This car had light to medium scratches with some heavy here and there preventing the paint from looking how it should. For being over a decade old the car's condition overall was in great shape in my book. We arrived at SP Engineering around 9:00 and finished the car around 6:30, myself and JC only took about a 30 minute break as we had to finish this car by the evening for a photoshoot! All in all the car came out 100% scratch/scuff free, we are fortunate to work on amazing cars and appreciate the business SP sends us. Stay tuned for the next write up involving a Murcie TT Enjoy the photos! Before/During Process After The First Step After Shots Final Shots
  17. True, I'll send the pics to your email this evening or tomorrow for sure!
  18. I received Wayne’s phone call concerning his Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder! He was referred to my company by Alan Fielder (thank you Alan). On the phone we discussed what he was trying to achieve with his Lambo. We scheduled his car for the following week. Jc and myself arrived at his house around 8:30 am and saw what we were up against. As usual with black everything shows up no matter what kind of light conditions there are with the exception of shade, there were medium to heavy scratches through out every panel. We elected to do a full paint correction, engine detail, interior detail, and some paint touch up. This car was completed around 7:00 pm with Jc and I nonstop working on it. Needless to say he was blown away with the correction and was thrilled at the new outcome of his car. It was a pleasure to work on this beast and bring it back to the condition it is in now. Thank you Wayne for using our service! Enjoy the photos Before Pics Correction Process After Shots
